Taking Little Miss to Meet the Mouse! ~ A May 2015 PTR ~ Trip Report Link Posted!!

A pre-park opening ADR at Crystal Palace is one of my favorite trip traditions. The food is great and there are SO many choices. I think its a good idea to have a buffer after Crystal Palace. We have always managed to finish before 9 if we get an 8 or 8:05 ADR, but since it's just adults I'm sure we move a little quicker through our meal as we aren't as worried about the characters.

Do you mind if I steal your idea for "The Grey Stuff" Pie for my theme night? I've been trying to figure out something French, but French desserts are complicated!

I think its The one I am most looking forward to! I'm going to have us where coordinating outfits this day.

Good to know. I figure if we end up breazing through our meal then we can always stop for a ride on something on our way to the Meet and Greet.

Feel free to steal any ideas I've used. Its the main reason I post them! So glad to help:thumbsup2

A pre park opening A DR is a perfect start to your MK day. Hopefully you will get some good family pictures in main street.

I think having a buffer after CP will work great.

Also I have realized that I keep repeating Rapunzel and Cinderella as the Alternate FP+ for Anna and Elsa. Other suggestions would be welcome.
I think that looks like a good alternate plan. If you're going to want to see all the princesses anyway, you'll need to fit them in somewhere. Hopefully you'll get at least one of your A&E FP+.

I have been slightly torn wasting precious rope drop time just waiting on a M&G but it will be nice to have that buffer of time to finish up at CP.
I totally get where you're coming from. I'd have a hard time waiting to meet characters, but at least you're not setting yourself up for major disappointment if breakfast runs over. I guess you can always make a last minute call... like if you get out of breakfast right at RD, you could always head over to FL and ride Pooh or Peter Pan or something before your first M&G starts.

I hope so too. With 4 shots at it one is bound to stick right? :rotfl:pixiedust:

Thats what I think we will do. And by this point in the trip we will have been to MK 3 times already and should have an idea what the family favorites are.

Day 5 looks good. I actually think it's a great idea to hit character first this time. Character meets can be a time suck so better to get it done first thing. We'll be at Epcot that night so if you have the energy maybe we'll see you there.

Park Plans- Park Day 6

This is our last park day (5/14). And we will find ourselves back at MK for our morning. It is also the day that ended up giving me the most headache because after thinking I had everything sorted on my timing, I went back to adjust it for the Be Our Guest reservation and realized that I forgot to account for EMH! :headache: That ended up shifting most of the afternoon around and most of the morning had to be reworked. Once again, blank spots in the schedule are time slots that need to be filled but I am not sure what would fit best. Suggestions and/or corrections welcome as always.

With our score of a Be Our Guest Reservation at 10:30 we are planning on using it as a cupcake snack break more than an actual lunch. Little Miss is already extremely excited to get to eat cupcakes in Beasts castle. I figure nothing stops us from ordering a sandwich to split if we end up wanting something a bit more substantial.

Here are our FP+ for the day:

Mine Train /Jungle Cruise

(11am-12pm)

Anna and Elsa / Haunted Mansion

(12pm-1pm)

Festival of Fantasy Parade

I have two reasons for doubling up on MK at the end.

1. Because this is the end of our trip we have better chances of grabbing the ever elusive Mine Train and Anna & Elsa FP+.

2. Because if you haven’t yet figured it out, my two favorite parks are MK and Epcot. And I simply want to maximize my time at both.

Our Schedule looks like this:

1. Ride Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin: 8:00am – 8:15am

2. Ride Astro Orbiter: 8:17am – 8:35am

3. Ride Tomorrowland Speedway: 8:40am – 9am

4. Ride The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: 9:05am – 9:20am

5. Potty Break: 9:20am – 9:40am

6. Ride The Barnstormer: 9:45am – 10am

7. Ride Journey of the Little Mermaid: 10:03am–10:20am

8. Ride _________: 10:20am-10:30am

9. Eat Morning snack at Be Our Guest: 10:30am-11:30am

9. Ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train w/ FP+: 11:35am-11:50am

10. Ride Prince Regal Carrousel: 11:55am-12:15pm

11. Visit Anna and Elsa at Princess Fairytale Hall with FP+: 12:15pm – 12:35pm

12. Ride Liberty Square Riverboat: 12:35pm – 1pm

13. Have lunch: Columbia Harbor House {Sit Upstairs if possible}: 1:05pm – 2pm

14. See Mickey’s Philharmagic: 2:05pm– 2:25pm

15. Potty Break: 2:30pm – 2:45pm

16. See Festival of Fantasy Parade with FP+: 2:45pm – 3:30pm

17. Leave Park for Afternoon Break

18. Stop at Concierge schedule 4th FP+ for Epcot

Our evening will be very much a repeat of the night before. If we still have yet to see Illuminations we will do so this night. Otherwise we will just soak up as much of the magic as we can in preparation for departure day tomorrow.

okay if we are both lucky enough to score FP+ for Festival if Fantasy, we will have to have a dismeet. Loving all the plans. I think it is very smart to have a alternative plan for the elusive Anna & Elsa and SDMT FPs. Can't wait to hear what you end up getting.

::yes:: For Sure!::yes::

Loving all the plans.

I'm getting excited for them. I can't believe how close we are!:hyper:

Hopefully we get them on at least one of our days. :wizard:

Can't wait to hear what you end up getting.

We'll find out in the wee hours of Saturday Morning!:woohoo: I'll be happy once that is set. Then everything will be in the finalization phase.

I got a bit behind because of work last week and being busy all weekend.

First, :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: on the lunch ADR for Be Our Guest (we got one for July!).

Love all of your plans.

We love the Lion King show but if you don't think DD will sit through it then I'd definitely skip it.

You know how I love the pre-park opening ADR at Crystal Palace.

:wave2: Nice to have you caught up!

I was a bit surprised to get it. Its a good thing I did though because Little Miss caught me trying for it over my shoulder. One look at the photo and she was sold. It added a bit of pressure for sure! :rotfl:

Love all of your plans.

:thumbsup2 Good I'm glad that they are sound plans. At first I was a bit worried that I was scheduling too much in the day but I think its actually going to be just right.

We love the Lion King show but if you don't think DD will sit through it then I'd definitely skip it.

I think that is what we are going to do. Taking that out of the itinerary made room for better plans overall and gets us out of the park an hour earlier which seeing as we have a late adr for Rose and Crown is a big deal.

You know how I love the pre-park opening ADR at Crystal Palace.

I think that is one of the things I am most excited for!:hyper::cheer2:

Totally makes sense... We were very MK heavy on our trip for basically the same 2 reasons. And the last day ended up being the only day we could get any FP+ for A&E... and I ended up having to reserve individual FP+ rather than booking for the entire group at once. It was a pain, but at least we got to see them.

If it makes you feel better, I looked at the crowd levels for your week and it looks very comparable to the levels when we were there in Dec. I had absolutely no problems getting FP+ for 7DMT. I mean I could have literally done it every day and whatever time I wanted. Hopefully it works out well for you too!

8. Ride _________: 10:20am-10:30am
Dumbo or meet the characters at Pete's Silly Sideshow. Again, very convenient location to where you'll be and both should be reasonable to do without a super long wait.

I'm hoping that with our smaller group numbers that won't be much of an issue.

Thats good to know. We will find out Friday.

Good options to keep in mind. :thumbsup2

Your plans are looking great! They seem pretty realistic and take into account the difficult to obtain ADRs.

Love the idea of doing cupcakes at BoG, what a special memory! That will be so fun!

:wave2: Hi everybody! Tonight is FP+ time!:hyper: The bummer thing about it is that I have a bad cold today and am not sure how I'll manage staying up so late. :surfweb: Thankfully DH is going to team up with me to get them done. Keep your fingers crossed and send some healing pixie dust my way if you could. My Wonderful mother is taking Little Miss for the day so that I can rest up and fight this bug. Hope I feel better by tonight.

Good to hear. I was worried at first that I may be over scheduling things but I think I've got them just about right.

I originally shot for that time slot because it was the only one that fit nicely in the schedule, after Little Miss caught me booking it and got SO excited about it I realized how special it would be.
