Sandals for Wide Feet

I have wide feet due to broken bones on both feet and I don't think Keens are made very wide. I can wear the men's sizes, though. I plan to get some Keens before my next trip to WDW since my kids did so well with theirs. Some styles of Clark's seem to be made wider even in the sizes that aren't labeled wide. SAS shoes are expensive but are extremely comfortable. I have a hard time wearing some Birkenstocks due to high arch supports in the sandals I've tried. They feel like I'm walking on a ball. I love Crocs flip flops and sandals.

I hate spending a ton of money on shoes. That said, I like Earth Spirit sandals from Walmart. I wouldn't hike the Appalachian Trail in them or anything, but I have worn them to a local amusement park for the day with no issues! They are well cushioned, and come in wide widths.

Reef Sandals are nice for wide feet, check your local stores to see if they carry them. They do have a few models I recommend finding the soft rubber pair they cushion your feet nicely. They run about $50.00 though, my family of four all wore these all week long at WDW and we encountered rain every day of our trip with no issues.

Teva's or Rocket dogs would be my vote. I wore Rocket dogs on a MK day from 10am-3pm and had no problems. They're wide with a wide fabric thong. I too have wider feet after having twins and grew a whole size larger....

Some Fit Flops fit my feet great, others are a bit tight. But the ones that fit great, I can wear for days at a time and never hurt. And they look great!

I have terrible feet (and wide...bunions) and I can walk all over Disney World for days in my Keens and my feet don't hurt. The Keen Whispers were not wide enough but the Venice were perfect because they have a wider foot bed. I went to Academy to try on all types of Sandals and these were the ones that worked for my poor feet! The best part is that you can walk through a downpour and your feet aren't slipping around and they dry quickly.

I love my clarks. Usually I take a wide but clarks must run a little wide to begin with because I can actually get away with regular width. I wore them last trip and it was the first trip we ever took that I had NO blisters! Happy feet makes the trip so much more enjoyable!

I just bought a pair of Born sandals with the softest leather... They've got a lot of give, and some nice cushioning. My heel is a pretty regular width but just below my toes (not sure what that part of the foot is called...) is SO wide, I've recently tried on sandals in brands a few other posters are recommending, and there was no way I could have worn them comfortably :( Because of my "regular" heel, I usually can't wear wide width shoes; I step right out of them. I like going someplace like DSW where I can compare a lot of different brands side-by-side. I once had a great pair of Aerosole sandals, but recently I feel like some of their styles are narrower. Good luck finding comfy shoes, that can make a big difference in your enjoyment of a trip!

Most of the online stores let you shop by shoes available in wide width, and you can specify that you only want sandals. There are a few sandals out there that are actually available in wide width, instead of having to choose from brands that tend to run wide. My sons have wide feet, and that's how I buy their shoes. Shoebuy.com is my favorite site (go through Ebates for cash back!), but I think just about all of the big sites like Zappos and Amazon will let you shop that way. And you have free returns if they don't fit.
