ADR Breakfast before resort check-in

Has anyone ever had an issue using a dining plan credit before you actually check-in at a Disney resort? Check-in isn't until 3 pm and we wanted to do a character breakfast that morning. Can they still charge our dining account even though we haven't checked-in yet? Thanks!
 
You can check in as early as 6am to activate your dining credits. Your room will probably not be ready/available at that time, but you can still check in and leave your bags with bell services.
 
PP is correct - you will have to visit your resort and check-in before you can use your dining credits. If your room isn't ready then, they will send you a text with the room number when it is.
