I live in two style s of footwear generally, flips flops in the summer and boots in the winter. I do have a pair of casual fashion shoes but find them a bit uncomfortable after a bit of walking.

My question is what shoes should i get for the parks? Last trip i wore flip flop/. Sandals which gave me blisters and started to smell!!! I own trainers but for sport so not in great condition.

Ideally i like not wearing socks hence why i wear flip flops (not a cheap plastic pair, but high quality with cushioned thong. I ve hear crocs are great but i just ant quite bring myself
To wear them!!!!

Crocs Cleos are my lifesaver. I have NEVER had a blister in 11 years of visiting WDW. I know you say you can't bring yourself to wear Crocs but they aren't all ugly, just the majority of them :rotfl:

I've always worn decent quality sandals (no socks!) round the parks. If they get wet, I tend to leave them outside to air overnight and that has stopped them from smelling too bad. Last time I was over, I did pick up some Disney crocs (with Mickey heads instead of just holes in the top) that I wear round the house, but I still think I'll be wearing sandals in the parks.

Second this. This is all I wear at the parks. Very cute.

I wear sandal crocs and love them! I also wear trainers on occasion if I have jeans on.

I don't do flip flops though lol!

99% of the time I am in Florida I have some form of sandal or open toes shoes on :thumbsup2

For those of you who wear flip flops, do you ever have trouble on any rides with them coming off?

I normally wear converse trainers. I do try and alternate my shoes though because i have very soft skin on my feet, so i can blister easily. Again, i'm someone who can't bare the thought of wearing crocs, lol, sorry x

I'm not sure many men could pull crocs off. I would really love a pair but can't

I have reef fanning flops so maybe I should try a different brand!

I wore birkenstock flip flops last year (the one's with the toe thong) They were comfy and stayed on my feet and no blisters! Previously I had worn original crocs, but my DD wouldn't let me this time:rotfl2:

My most worn in trainers with sports socks that don't show for storming the parks. Every year I carefully scour the shops and choose something that looks smarter/prettier but also comfy. Every year by day 3 I am back in faintly scabby trainers........

I tend to scrunch my feet to grip my flip flops or wear them on my hands if I think they may come off :)

For the Parks I wear either my croc flip flops (I couldn't wear the 'classic' style either!) which have a cushioned sole or my trainers.

I often wear croc's i dont care what they look like they are super comfy - i have the in an army green.

I also love nike flyknit trainers / chukkas as they are woven they are effectively like wearing socks. you can even not wear socks if you dotn want to.

downside is they are useless when it rains (ie in england) though they now have waterresistant versions.

I like sports sandals - both Teva and Merrell have designs that are not chunky looking. I take two pairs and make sure I change them every day or two. I also like to have a pair of Birkenstocks (which I usually wear on the plane) to wear in the evening - very relaxing when I have been on my feet all day.

Crocs - but not the clogs...
They have lots of other styles - the sandals are particularly nice.

first year we went to disney i broke the golden rule and bought new clog crocs on our first day at Disney and of cause they gave me blisters. i had to buy normal flip flops which i wore with no problems for the rest of the holiday. i now have a lovely pair of red toe post crocs that i bought from sports direct in 2009 and have worn them for every Disney holiday since, they are so comfy. the only problem i have encountered with them is if the ground is wet they become quite slippery.

cal :)

We live in Saltwater Sandals - they are a dream. if you get wet they just get comfier as the leather forms to your feet. on colder days my converse trainers don't let me down.
