Hotel F1/Accor Hotel

Hi all,

Just looking for some advice on hotels close to DLP.

We're staying at the Santa Fe for 4 nights in May but as is the norm for us now, we're planning to arrive the night before, stay in a hotel close by and get to the Santa Fe early on our first day...however, this is the first time we'll be doing this on a Sunday and I am astonished at the prices of hotels close by.

All we need is a bed/shower/loo - so I've looked at the F1/Accor hotels and they are much, much cheaper...and that worries me a bit.

Has anyone stayed here before?
The hotels own room description says they have "wash corners" but doesn't mention anything about a toilet...I doubt very much that my better half would want to share one with other rooms :)

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

They don't have toilets or showers in the rooms. Both are separate and shared by the whole floor.

I would never ever use them especially around the North of Paris and I've stayed in some pretty basic accomodation round the world.

I presume that you have a car ? Look for hotels at Bussy St Georges - The Campanile gets good reviews or at Torcy you've got a Kyriad and a Premiere Classe

When are you looking at in May as it can be very busy and therefore more expensive due to all the bank holidays that we have.

What's your budget? We did this in October, arrived a day earlier for our Santa Fe booking, and booked a one night stay at the Kyriad......(the one near Dream Castle, Magic Circus and Explorers)

We've stayed at the Campanile in Bussy St Georges and it's great value for money. We would definitely go back.

We're looking for 24th May - just before the bank holiday - we've looked at some of the review and decided not to risk the cheaper hotels.

We normally stay at the Explorer, but its almost double it's usual price :(
Looks like the cheapest we'll get is going to be around £120

I was expecting something around the £100 mark for a one night stay.
We stayed at the Kyriad in Torcy last year and said we wouldn;t be going back....I'll keep looking throughout the day and go for something tonight )

The 24th of May is part of the French 3 day weekend which is Pentecote. It will be very busy and hotels will be dearer because of it. Whatever you do don't look at anything that is is Noisy, Noisy le grand or Noisiel if you didn't like Kyriad at Torcy as they are far far worse.

Have you looked at Ibis Budget at VdE ? You might have to look towards Meaux to find cheaper.

Yep that's them this year as it's a moveable one. In May we've also got the 1st (so busy 2nd/3rd) the 8th(so 9th and 10th) then this year the 14th (so 15th/16th/17th for many many people) and lastly the 23rd,24th and 25th.

Love the month of May :rotfl:

Ah great, thank you. We're doing a 1 day visit on the Friday the 22nd, so we just miss it! Phew!
