just found out stinks my family of 3 used the heck out of these for our disney trips. My wife and I both had a separate card to get double the benifit. Living near Philly it's them or southwest. Looks like we will have to check out a airline rewards for cheaper tickets. Any ideas????

I love our SW rapids rewards credit card and rewards points! My husband and I both got a card during a promotion they were giving 50K points if you spend 500.00 in 3 months so we staggered our enrollment. I put everything on my cc including cell phone, cable ect... What I love the most about SW is that if you book a flight with your points and need to cancel (or even if you dont cancel but miss your flight) you get all your points back. I used points for xmas trip and saw the points required for my flight had gone down (rates go up and down so do point values) and I just reissued the tickets and got 28K points back ( 7K per ticket times 4 tickets) into my account just by keeping an eye on it. When my father in law was sick I had booked several flights using my points for an Oct trip not knowing how long we would be able to go if at all but once I did know what we could do a few days prior I canceled the flights I didnt need and got all my points back. They are so easy to work with. I have done several trips for 14K points R/T from Hartford to Orlando direct non-stop, no bag fees up to 2 checked bags PP.

Spirit out of Stockton ,NJ.My wife and I are flying down during spring break for $230 RT for both of us.

Information was made available that Barclays will continue to offer a companion pass with one of its U.S./AA co-branded credit cards post-merger. With the silver card, you will get a $99 pass for up to 2 companions, but only after you charge $30,000 to the card! So it will exist, but obviously not in the current form.

I wouldn't be too quick to jump on the Southwest bandwagon:

https://www.southwest.com/html/rapid...am-update.html

"We created Rapid Rewards® because we think you deserve to actually feel rewarded. And, from time to time we must make some updates to our program. Beginning April 17, 2015, the number of Rapid Rewards Points needed to redeem for certain flights will vary based on destination, time, day of travel, demand, fare class, and other factors. However, there are still many flights which will stay at the current redemption rate. And don’t forget that when fares go on sale, so do the points needed for redeeming for a reward flight on those fares."
