40% off cruise terminal parking hotels

I was reading a thread here the other day when someone mentioned the hotels around the Port Canaveral area that offer a discount of 40% off of parking fees at the terminal with staying at their establishments. We really want to park at the cruise terminal again and I figure we will have to stay at a hotel the night before, so one of these hotel options seems like a great choice for us. :thumbsup2

I looked up the Fairfield Inn in Titusville and the Courtyard in Cocoa Beach along with a few others. It looks to me like you have to pay a higher rate and book a package to get the 40%off "coupon" for parking. Can anyone verify that is how it works or are you able to stay there and then just ask for the coupon.
It seems like paying a higher rate for the room itself sort of negates the whole discount for parking.
Also does anyone know if you could use something like rewards points to book the hotel room and still get the discount "coupon" for the terminal parking.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
I looked through the threads to see if I could find more information, but couldn't quite find the answer to my questions. Also any recommendations would be great. :thanks:

We always stay at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Titusville often. We book, stay and get the 40% off coupon. No package required. I am satisfied with the room and the $6 a day savings.

I booked the Fairfield Inn in Titusville for our trip in May/June. I called ahead and they said there was no special rate that you had to choose to get the 40% off coupon.

I ended up booking three rooms for our party, all using my accrued Marriott Rewards points and was told that we would get a coupon for each room (we only need 2).

We also stay at the Fairfield Inn, the 40% coupon has never come up when booking. You just have to remember to ask for it when you check inn.

We are staying there this week before we leave. I used a link which gave me 15% off hotel along with the 40% off parking voucher. I'll have to search for it but will post in the morning (if it's allowed) I know I just googled port canaveral hotels 40% coupon and it came up. I got the room for 118 a night vs 139 but hey savings is savings

We stayed on points last November. I called the hotel directly to check on the voucher and was told every room, regardless of payment method, is eligible. Wheni checked in for two rooms, I asked for the vouchers and got them without any problem. They did recommend keeping the rooms receipts handy as we might be asked to present them at the terminal with the voucher. I don't remember if we did or not, though.

They have a list of many hotels in the area that offer the parking discount at the port canaveral website. They have added many more than previously listed.

Wouldn't it still be cheaper to do one of the hotels which let you park there for free while you are on the cruise? Also, does anybody have a list of those hotels? I used one of the links above but it only listed 3 hotels and I know there are more that offer this.

I like the 40% off voucher because I drive about 20 hours home after the cruise. I don't want to have to wait on a hotel shuttle to get me back to my car. Just what's better for me.

We cruised for the first time last fall with friends who said their experience waiting for shuttles post-cruise was horrible, so both groups decided to park in the terminal. My experience with that was fantastic - we had a porter grab our luggage, took it through customs and across the street and we were on the road in less than 30 minutes after getting off the ship.

This is us too, although we just have an 8 hour drive back home. We parked at the terminal this past time and it was just so easy to throw our stuff in the car and get on the road (of course that is if we did not have a dead battery in the car when we got back).
We were just going to pay for the terminal parking anyway, so staying at a hotel with the 40% off parking coupon is good deal since we will be staying somewhere the night before anyway.

I was looking for a list of hotels that allow you to leave your car there(at the hotel) for free if you stay there pre cruise. There is another link above that has that info but only lists 3 hotels and I know there are more than that so I wondered if anybody had a list.

If you mean the link I posted, I think it only shows the ones that have availability for your circumstances (number or people/rooms, dates, etc.). It only shows me one, but it's a great deal! We'll be paying less for the hotel the night before, a shuttle to and from the port, and parking than we would pay for JUST the parking at the port.

That's great to know. Free room on points + 40% off port parking = win-win. We stayed at the Fairfield before our first cruise. It was a clean comfortable hotel with a great free breakfast. Noticed a lot of fellow cruisers around the hotel.

We parked on the second deck of the parking garage mere steps from the bridge into the terminal. We were in our car on the way home in less than 20 minutes after leaving the ship.
