Walking to FW from Vwl?

We have tickets for the 4pm hoop dee do show - walking from villas at wilderness lodge is doable isn't it?

How long does it take ( I'm not a fast walker)
Can anyone give some directions or is there map somewhere?

Also I believe you can get a boat? We might return on that after the show

Yup.

It's about a mile so 15-20 minutes.

There is a non-paved scenic trail that starts near the Marina. There's a paved path that starts near the VWL Bus Stop. Both are clearly marked. Post #18 of this thread has a map.

You are correct.

I'm thinking of doing memory makers for our trip, and has me wondering about WL and photos.

Are there any Disney photographers at the lodge, or other photo opportunities for a group?

Hey there! Yes the WL has photographers in the lobby when the Christmas decorations are up! They take beautiful pictures by the tree, or bridge. We got some great family shots and they were included in our memory maker purchase!! Not sure about any other time though. Enjoy!!

Jumping back on the bandwagon for updates :) New thread looks fab! Thanks so much Kook!!! I'm up late...

I was reading Dining Reviews, and I thought someone asked about King Size beds at CL?
either way thought I'd post the link to the review of her CL stay (with pictures of her room, which happened to have a King size bed, but it was a HA room)

Keep Calm and Go to Disney! 10/21 - 11/4 UPDATE 2/26 OLD FAITHFUL CLUB LOUNGE PART I

(I just have to say her pictures of the food offerings that night are really good, and I've not seen anyone talk about the fresh mozzarella and tomatoes! It all looked really good!)

Love these pics! Thanks so much for the post :)

Thanks, blackdogg!

You have a brand new Lil' Lodger?! Congratulations! I hope he's sleepin' like a baby and looking at plenty of WL photos;). WL will be perfect for his first visit, but maybe not the bunk bed yet:scratchin

Can anyone advise where the nearest place to WL is to add old non exp to magic bands. We will be arriving late afternoon from UK. We have added our park tickets already to magic bands but we have some old tickets that have water park days left on ( non exp) is this something guest services can do at wilderness lodge? Or will we have to go somewhere else. We plan on going to the water park the next morning- thank you for your help

Taking my family to WL 12/6-12/13. Both my kids (2 & 5) first time to Disney =) Very excited for them. I'll have to watch this thread, as I've already read a few things I had never heard about before, such as this "Hoop Dee Do" show.

I believe that you would have to go to any Disney Guest Services located at all parks and at the TTC. We have to do that to exchange our AP vouchers and we always go to the IG (International Gateway) location at the "back" of Epcot, between France and UK. It is seldom busy and there usually isn't even a line. MK Guest Services always seems to be the most crowded.

HDDR is lots of fun and I highly recommend everyone go at least once. The show is great and the unlimited food and even beer and wine is included in the price. The first page of the thread has more information on recreation and activities at WL and FW. You're going to love the Christmas decorations and I'll log your dates in POST 1:)

Just got back from another wonderful stay at the lodge on Saturday. This time we stayed in the villas vice the main resort. I was a little concerned that at the villas wouldn't have the specialness that we love so much about the lodge, but the magic was all there. The villas lobby is absolutely beautiful and it was just as peaceful as the lodge. Missed the lake view and was stuck with a bus stop view instead, but to be in the serenity of the lodge the beeping of the busses could be ignored.

We had lots of magic band issues, but I won't blame my beloved lodge for that. Also got to eat at Artist Point and Whispering Canyon and enjoyed both.

Thanks to kook and everyone on the threads for all the lodge info and especially intel on where do get my beloved vino ; )

I'm currently booked at WL CL ffrom 9/30-10/4. Has anyone heard that the pool will be closed then?
