In this discussion I have not said replacement once. What I have said is cleanliness and upkeep of the interiors. Something that used to and should be done regularly. The interiors need work and some wall carpet and a new bench isn't going to fix everything, while its nice they need more than that. Pictures of mold and water damage are out there. Like I've said multiple times. Disney set the standard, Disney should be able to live up and exceed their standards yet they aren't. Who do we blame then?
You do remember what the system has been going through recently right? Disney had all their nice budget projections lined up, and then all of a sudden the crash happened. They were forced to spend millions on new trains, and updates to existing trains.
You want to know what happens when hardships happen? You tighten your belt like Walt Disney World Monorail System has. I'm sure all the staff are wanting more to be spent on athestics as well as technology (though from the sound of it that's all coming). They just can't spend the same money on two projects. This begs the question why didn't TDO step in and do more? Poor judgement.
I'd also like to remind you rteetz that it's not the 1990s anymore. Attendance is pretty close to 20,000,000. The months long down periods aren't there anymore.
