I'm going to Disney world with my best friend sometime in the next year and are trying to figure out what resort we want to stay at. So far we like the looks of coronado springs but need a 2nd opinion. It needs to be moderate! We are 15 if that helps at all! Thanks:)

I stayed there once when I was a kid. Pretty resort. Don't remember too much but I know they've got sit downs and their counter service is the Pepper Market. Best pool I've been to at Disney, there's this Mayan temple structure and the slide is awesome.

CSR is lovely, but it's also very big. If you need a second option, I recommend Port Orleans Riverside- their royal rooms are too cute!!

I've seen pictures and it looks really nice. The redone rooms are stunning. The DIS podcast did a good review about it I highly recommend.

I didn't care for the theme at CSR, but that's just me. I like POR the best out of all the mods. Being able to take a boat to Downtown Disney, being close to POFQ, the pool, and the theme are some things I liked most about POR. That being said, you can't really go wrong with any of the mods. It all comes down to what you and your friend like the most. I'd decide based on pricing, and how much time we'd spend at the resort. :)

I've stayed at all of the moderates and CSR was my least favorite, but that's because I prefer all the others to it. Nothing personal. It's REALLY big and it's a hike to get anywhere....although that's true of most of the resorts in general. Port Orleans French Quarter is my favorite because it's a little on the smaller and quieter side and doesn't take 10 minutes on foot to get anywhere you want to go.

However, CSR is BEAUTIFUL, I love the theme, and the pool area is really neat. If you guys like that one, I say go for it! Resorts are really such a personal preference.

Hi! I stayed at Coronado Springs about three years ago. Of course, the main downside is the size. There are three large sections of rooms, and each section contains many scattered buildings, which can make navigating pretty confusing. I also wouldn't recommend Coronado Springs if you like the "Disney" theming. COR is home to a convention center, which means that it is more of a business resort. Overall, I didn't find COS to be very family friendly, but now being 14, I would probably enjoy it more than when I was 11. Some upsides include the rooms themselves and the pool. The rooms were fairly big for a moderate resort and they were also very nice (being a business resort). Also, the pool was amazing! So, if you guys are looking for something more disney like, I would opt for the other moderate resorts. If you were just looking for a nice place to stay, you won't be disappointed by Coronado Springs.

Interesting. What makes you say the other moderates are more Disney? I think they actually blend in characters pretty cleverly. Its got a great vibe. Really fun to stay and play at. Size can be an issue, but the whole Resort is beautiful so walking is offset by the ambiance.

Plus they've got quick service Tex Mex...
