Best hotel with bunk beds... Stanford Inn?

We will be traveling with 2 teenagers for 2 nights on Sept 8 & 9.
Neither overly tall or heavy and quite willing to use a bunkbed for 2 nights.
This is preferred over having to share a bed!
I am thinking the Stanford Inn is my best bet but I am wondering if I am overlooking another hotel that has something similar for $100 per night.
And also Stanford Inn reviews would be appreciated. THANKS!

I had considered Stanford Inn for our trip but it was a little to far for us so I chose Park Vue Inn its a little more ($150) for night

I haven't tried it yet, but the reviews are good. Booking.com has the bunk bed suite, with 2 baths, for $109 + taxes for those nights.

Del Sol Inn has bunk bed rooms. They are really close to the entrance and probably not TOO much more than $100.

I've been doing some research myself... Del Sol is SUPER close (an easy walk) and it's about $125/night for those dates for the bunkbed room. Just FYI. I have never stayed here before, but the difference in distance from the parks would be well worth an extra 20-25 dollars a night to me.

Correction, Del Sol does have free breakfast.

Del Sol is $175 @ night (Expedia, May be less elsewhere) and apparently has free breakfast, much closer location, but only one bathroom. Parking is extra.

We stayed there when we wanted to extend our trip to include the beach. I would not stay here for Disney, because I like walking from the hotel. If you don't mind driving, the hotel is fine. Nothing special, nothing bad. One child liked the bunk beds, one child thought they were too hard. The beds were a tad too hard for me, but I like soft beds! We came from the Disneyland hotel and the kids were wondering where the bell boy was.

Breakfast was make your own waffle, cereal (fruit loops and Cheerios?), toast, sausage patties, egg patties (well, like you would find on a fast food biscuit), yogurt and bananas.

My mom, aunt, cousin (will be 18) and I (will be 22) are making a trip in January. We're booked there, but are staying 14 days so I hope the beds are at least kinda comfy :P

I scoured the nearby area for any hotel close to that price, but couldn't find any that would fit our needs for number of beds. The added value of a second bathroom and the full breakfast makes it worth it to us, even if we are a little further away. The ART bus takes you right to the park from the Mariott I think, next door, so you can choose that instead of walking.

We use Portofino Inn and Suites for our Disneyland trips. A bunk bed and a sofa bed as well, and it is separated by a sliding door, and parents have the King bed. It about a 15 minute walk to the Parks

Thank you all for the ideas. I checked out the other hotels and even though some seemed really nice I went ahead and booked Stanford Inn because it was the cheapest (total of $231 for 2 nights).
It has great reviews (if you discount a few grumpy people) and those grumpy reviews were all followed up by the hotel with apologies etc. So at least they seem like they care.
I think the breakfast is big deal because I wont have to spend money on that elsewhere.
This whole trip is being done on a REALLY tight budget so any place I can save even a few dollars will help.

We are in the same boat; teens who do NOT want to share a bed.
We wound up getting a room at the Candy Cane Inn, etc and requesting a rollaway :)

Just a word of warning for people considering the Stanford Inn: Several reviews I read said the bunk beds are NOT standard twin size. They are smaller and would be a better fit for children than teens or adults. Just a heads up! We have stayed there when it was the Comfort Inn but we did not have a suite with the bunk beds. We found it to be clean, comfortable and affordable. The pool was nice and we had a good experience. This was in 2011.

I dont know if you can cancel your reservation, or if you would like to but I just checked the dates for the Anaheim desert inn and suits, its directly across the street from the DL entrance and only $89 a night. the room has 2 queen beds and a full size sleeper sofa. Not bunk beds but a better location and still separate sleeping. They do charge for parking but if you dont use it you would save $18 off the total, they will refund the parking fees I have heard. Taxes and parking included is 243.40

May I ask how your trip went? Looking for other feedback from folks who've also stayed at Stanford Inn & Suites. Also on a budget and wondering about the ART shuttle (is it crowded), breakfast, comfort of rooms, noise, cleanliness. Just your basic encyclopedic answer will do, thanks!
