Anyone have suggestions on how to get ressies for BoG dinner if none are available in system? We are a party of 7, maybe 9 depending on night. Looking for April 2 or April 3. Do they still allow walk ups? That may be an option.

Most of the threads that talk about getting the hard to get reservations say to keep trying, 7 days before and even 24 hours before (as people cancel before they are charged)
and with a large party the suggestion is to try and break it up, 2 tables of 4 is easier to get than 1 table for 7... make the times close, i.e. 7:45 and 8pm

I think I also read the advice, keep trying!

It is very hard to get a walk up at BOG, let alone for such a large party. Are you following the cancel thread for your month? You never know! Or stalk the disney site obsessively. Another option might be to pay for one of those ADR watching websites, that alert you when it becomes available. Worth the 8 bucks if it works, i bet, though I havent tried the service myself.

Where are the monthly cancel threads?

under the disney dining reservations forum, (top of the restaurant page). IT will saw "new guidelines- April ADR cancellations" or something like that. When someone on the board is cancelling they will post, and you can arrange a time to be online together so you may pick it up. THis is how I got BOG for our last trip, worked perfectly.

April cancellation thread. Be sure to read the rules in the first post:

During Easter week the likelihood of walking up without a reservation, especially for a party of 9 is unlikely because BOG will be totally booked.

Check online multiple times a day because you are hoping for a cancellation which re-enters the reservation system almost immediately so it's a matter of being online checking just as one comes up. Persistence is the key especially for that week because you need to include everyone who might be at the dinner so you will need a res for 9 people which is a large party. You can try for multiple reservations as close in time as possible for 9 or 10 people. When you check in you can ask to be seated together, but it's only a request so be prepared to be seated at more than one table, possibly near one another or far apart.

If you cannot get reservations for everyone and you check in with extra people, the CMs will do their best to seat everyone. However, have an alternate plan for those who cannot be seated.

the only available time i have been able to get for BOG was one at 9.20 (too late with 2 grandchildren) everything else booked up unless you are party of two for last two weeks in august, dont hold out much hope

I'm still hoping for mid-June. I'm in a similar boat--have a 9:30 ressie but too late for my 3 and 7 year olds (though I might have to bite the bullet and hope they get a good nap). If I ever do get an earlier one I will finally get to post my 9:30 to the cancel board...

Although it still might be too late for your little one you can always go just for dessert and have dinner somewhere else at your regular dinner time.
