WOOO HOOO...just was able to move our POFQ ressie to BC Deluxe Studio for 10/16 - 10/23...wanted a GV room, but apparently you all were there ahead of me, and there wasn't any availability - but there WAS a Studio Villa...a few steps further to EPCOT, but hey....it's the BEACH CLUB!!! Hoping that the renovations will not be an issue...and that we'll get a "new" room....

We'll be celebrating our 40th Anniversary while we are there - a year after the fact, but better late than never!

We LOVE BC...it's the first WDW experience we had, way back in 1986 - and have stayed here a few times since then (never in the villas!), but mostly the moderates....this event is going to be worth the extra cost, and if a discount happens - well, that's just gravy!!!

Can you add me to the BOG list??? Thanks so much to everyone who has posted, and continues to post, info about this fantastic resort!! Can't tell you how much we are looking forward to this trip!

If you have your hearts set on BC GV room, Orbitz (which has different inventory) shows availability for BC GV for those dates.

Garden View

Actual nightly rates - Taxes and fees NOT included in nightly rates
......Fri....... Sat......... Sun......... Mon....... Tue......... Wed........ Thu
$467.01.. $467.01.. $400.01.. $400.01.. $400.01.. $400.01.. $400.01

That does not include any applicable promo codes that Orbitz may have. By that time, all rooms at BC will have been rehabbed.
The major drawback of Orbitz is having to pay for the entire stay upfront. The reservation, however, has the same cancellation policy of a direct booking with Disney (5 day minimum notice, for RO).

Hope you have a great 40th+ celebration!

thanks for looking into the options!

Actually, I'm thinking it might be fun to try the Studio villa...and this even works out to be a bit less than the GV rooms. I love it when I can try new stuff at Disney!!!

Just booked a father/daughter trip for 4/29-5/3 at BC! So excited. By then, maybe two floors will have been refurb'd?

I noticed when I try to book Beaches & Cream, available times are shown but it doesn't let me book. The site does, however, let me book other restaurants. Does anybody have reservations for B&C between 4/29-5/3? I wonder if this is a sign they'll be doing some refurb work on the restaurant and they haven't fully updated the system yet? Or just a glitch in the system for now?

I noticed the same problem, after reading your post. It's probably best to call for reservations at B&C.

I have reservations during that period, which were made awhile back.

Just in case you're interested, the WDW website is now showing avalibility for a garden view room for your dates. I just made resevations for roughly the same dates (GV room) about a week ago.

Hi everyone!! Booked for our first Yacht Club stay in September for Halloween and Food and Wine!! We've even booked a Club Level stay! (spoiled after our first club level stay in December) After seeing the gorgeous pics of the new rooms at the Beach Club, we're considering swapping over to Beach Club! But either way, we're very excited! Can we be added to the Be Our Guest list please? Thanks!! Love all the great info!

There are a few reviews of the Cape May Dinner on the first page of this thread (not too recent, though). I believe that the buffet still has the crab legs every night, but they are now being served to diners instead of placed up on the serving line.

Can anyone who has been there recently confirm this info?

I have a Cape May update. We ate there this past Friday and crab legs are on the hot buffet table. It turns out that serving them to people at the table cost more money and was more wasteful than just having out on the hot table, according to our waiter.

Yay! We'll celebrate with you! Love BC/YC during F&W! Agree regarding CL - after we were upgraded to CL in 2011, we've been booking CL for most stays ever since. I had no idea how helpful and convenient it would be - especially with three kids. We've stayed at both BC and YC, and really enjoy both. If the full balcony is really important to you, I'd stick with YC. But I'm usually willing to take the chance at BC by requesting the full balcony, and those new BC rooms look fabulous. As in my favorite decor of any WDW resort at this point! As I've said before, I'm also a big fan of BC Marketplace and proximity to it is another selling point for me. But either way, it will be great!! Are you going to MNSSHP?

We are considering foregoing the water park and more option on our ticket since SAB is almost a water park itself! We are family of 5 and we'd like to use the price difference between the tickets to eat at a few more table service restaurants. So, water park vs SAB...thoughts?

I was curious for those who have visited recently. How does the staff at SAB check for pool entry? Do they scan magic bands? Do you still get another paper bracelet as well as the magic band? Just wondering what to expect for the upcoming trip! (Sorry if this is explained on the first page, I looked through but I may have missed it).

The pictures for the secret door show a card entry. We no longer get cards since the switch to magic bands, unless we ask for one I think. Did they install an RFID reader to the outside of these secret doors?

I'm trying to come to the realization that we will visit a water park and spend time at Stormalong this upcoming trip. I am not a fan of using public pools. If it were my choice, I'd skip the water parks. I feel the same way about DTD. I've never purchased to water park and more option. I'm only going to a water park next time because it was included for free with my tickets. Take a family vote.

My family is not a fan of the water parks & we have never bought the water park & more option either. We also received 1 day free with our park tickets, but my son truly doesn't want to go to either of the water parks. I know it sounds crazy since most people love them. We are using
our free option for one of the Mini Golf courses. I know this is not the best use, value-wise, but it's the best one for us fun-wise.

So I'd give up the waterpark option, but only because I find SAB so much more relaxing. We've only done a waterpark during a non-parks trip (before a Disney cruise.) We really enjoyed it, but probably would not combine enough waterpark time with regular park time to make the add-on worth it. SAB and regular parks is a great mix for us.

, how do we get from BC to Hoop Dee Doo? Thanks in advance!
We took the bus to MK and then the boat to Fort Wilderness. You could also take the bus from MK to Fort Wilderness instead of the boat. It might be faster. You could also check to see if they still send a Fort Wilderness bus to all the resorts for Hoop Dee Doo. There are buses that will take you back to your resort after the show.

Does anyone know if the Beach Club still hands out the resort newspaper when you check-in? I think it's called the Tide Tribune. I've stayed at POFQ for my last several trips and they no longer have the resort newspaper. On my list trip,
I did not even receive one of the fold up maps which contained info about the resort.
I haven't seen that newspaper in a long time. They didn't have it when we were there last March.

Question about Beaches & Cream, I am have a hard time finding a reservation for 5, if I make one for 3 and one for 2, do you think they would push 2 tables together or do you think we could fit in a booth? My younger two don't take up much room and could probably fit along with my mom on one side.
I don't think you could count on them pushing two tables together for you because the restaurant is very small and the odds of having two open tables next to each other is slim.

Thanks! My Travel Agent wasn't able to get anything, but I'm thinking now that I'm glad, and am anxious to try the Studio Villa...at one time, we thought about buying into the DVC, and only ever wanted Beach Club...never did, for many reasons, but it will be fun to try it out!
