Beaches and Cream and ADR

I really want to try this restaurant as it seems relatively inexpensive and I have heard great reviews. Plus they have decent vegan/vegetarian offerings for those in our family that require them. It seems like a fun place with a neat theme. I don't like to book many ADR because we like to "wing it" most days but we settled on HDDR for our arrival day, BOG lunch mid trip and mother's day dinner at 50's and I got all those reservations no problem in the last week or so just 2 months out.

We are going for 10 nights and I cannot find any "good times" for lunch or dinner at Beaches and Cream the whole time for a party of 5. I found plenty of times for parties of 2, 3 or 4 but not 5. I assume they do not have many 6 top tables in the small restaurant. I found lunch one day at 11:00 and one day at 3:10 and no dinner times until after 9 or 10 pm. And I check MULTIPLE times everyday for all days of our trip.

Is it worth it to book an "off time"? Should I just keep looking and hope someone cancels, maybe I will get lucky closer to our trip? I heard walk-up's are nearly impossible so I doubt I will bother trying to go that route. For some reason this restaurant appealed to me but is it really worth "stalking" WDW dining for an ADR?

Try booking here for a dessert and coffee. Cute atmosphere, great sundaes.

That's exactly what we did. We've never been but really wanted to go, and the only ADR time avail was 8:50PM one night. So we're going to munch at the kiosks at Epcot F&G Show for "dinner" then walk to B&C for dessert. From there, we'll continue around the boardwalk to Jellyrolls.

I did think about doing something similar on our Epcot day but don't want to miss Illuminations either.....

If we went after Illuminations what time could we get there by? Should we stick with a 10pm time slot or could we get there earlier?

There are only 3 booths that you could fit 5-6 people at and the rest are small tables that you can fit 3-4 people. As you can see in the image below, this place is tiny.

I enjoyed my lunch and the sundaes were great, but I was almost too full. In the future, I would probably make reservations for dessert only at an off time from when I would actually want a meal. Or, I would order dessert first and then share a lunch item with someone.

How long would it take to leave Epcot after Illuminations and get over to Beaches and Cream? I have never actually visited the Boardwalk area, could we leave via World showcase exit and walk over for an ADR and then walk back to our car at the Epcot parking lot? We will have a rental car.

This is my understanding: They do not book parties larger than 4. You will have to book two separate ADRs and tell them you want to be seated together when you arrive.

But I have seen availability for 5 people, just at non-peak times. I can easily find a table for 5 at 9-10pm and saw one at 11:00am and 3:10pm for lunch. These are just not ideal times for my family to eat a meal. I would really love to score a dinner ADR somewhere between 5:00-7:00pm but it looks like that might be next to impossible.

Booking 2 reservations crossed my mind but since there are only a few larger tables in the restaurant I figured there simply may not be a lager table available to accommodate us. Maybe I could have the three kids sit together and me and DH could sit alone together, anyone done that before?

Interesting. The "won't book 5" is commonly stated here and I ran into it myself immediately after they started booking ADRs. Glad they have loosened up the rules. That said, I wouldn't hesitate booking two ADRs and asking if we could wait for a booth or, at least, neighboring tables.

I have it booked for a party of 6.

ETA: OP, I have it booked on two different days, a 6:20 and a 6:10. When I booked 180 days out there were multiple times for a party of 6 between 5 and 7pm. Don't give up hope for a cancellation.

Same experience for our family of five. Only options were 10 p.m. or 3:20 p.m. I took the 3:20 p.m. Thinking it might be difficult to get back to our home resort after a 10:00 p.m. dinner...

Ditto this. I had no trouble booking at the time I desired on two separate days for a party of 8. The lack of availability probably has more to do with the size of the restaurant and lack of availability of reservations in general than the party size.

I have booked for a party of 7 and a party of 4 within 10 minutes of each other in July. I'm hoping when we arrive and explain they will seat us near each other since the place isn't that big.

In Beaches and Cream no matter where you're seated you'll be near eachother. :p

Sorry- don't want to be contrarian, but we got an ADR for June for our family of five. Now, it is at 9PM (first day, and we're coming in from Texas- so it will feel like 8)- going to check in mid day and knock out HS, then swing by B&C on out way back to the BWI.

You are not being contrarian but I did acknowledge the very first person, the OP, who stated they could book their party size. And as I said way back up there in post 9, it was generally agreed here that larger parties were not available AND my personal experience was exactly that. But I am glad they are booking larger parties myself since we are a party of 5.

Just gotta tell you that your avatar is fantastic. That's a long running joke in my family.

Yes, leave via World Showcase exit and walk over. Takes 5-10 minutes. Not sure about walking back to get your car - don't know if they let people back in after the park closes.

But is it possible to walk back to the Epcot parking lot from the boardwalk area without going through Epcot?

No, it is not possible to get to the Epcot parking lot from the Epcot area hotels without going through Epcot. You would need to either move your car at the end of the night or park elsewhere to start the day. You could try to valet park at Beach Club and walk to IG at Epcot to enter that morning so that your car would be at BC when you were done at B&C. Another option that morning would be to park at DHS and then walk/ferry to IG at Epcot for that morning since you can walk back to DHS's parking lot from BC.
