There is no way in hell this is true. LOL

Jar Jar Binks, The Early Years. Sounds like a Disney Jr. movie or maybe a Lego Star Wars mini series.

I think it's telling that neither those silly lego parodies...nor even doc mcstuffins...has gone near touching jar jar

Don't worry, Spirit's post was filled with his typical sarcasm. There is no Jar Jar Movie.

If there was millions of Star Wars fans would cry out...
Then go on Facebook and start bombarding Disney with hate.

Mass boycotts, vandalism of Disney property, protests at Disneyland? I think they'd all be on the table. I'm not even joking. Jar Jar is hated that much.

Iger may really need his security guards.

Dreamworks animation is in bigtime trouble and may become insolvent.

Katzenberg had to take over direct oversight and announce a 250 mil quarterly loss just days ago. I read about it.

I've read about it as well. The recent layoff and closing of DW's most talented campus, along with the really poor selection of projects, the purchase of dated IP that just a few would watch for the nostalgia and the overdone popular culture references should be a hint of what's wrong at DreamWorks. And you would ask: who on Earth would greenlit a movie about Trolls, Home, Penguins or Turbo? Katzemberg apparently would.

In regards of a Jar Jar movie... No, just no. It is known by everyone and their mother that Jar Jar Binks is one of the worst and most hated characters from the Star Wars Franchise.

Disney now owns about 70% of Euro Disney as one of the shareholders Invesco gave up their shares today.

So they bailed right before the capital increase announcement, after spending the past couple of years buying on the 2ndary to get into voting position.

Folding on the check, before the the subscriber card is turned over. I guess that's pretty much going to leave Disney and the Prince...

One of the?

He is the undisputed title holder...

Jar jar represents more than just a horrid, miscalculated character inserted for all the wrong reasons...

Star Wars fans thought jar jar was a prank being played on them...

In a way he was...proving just how bad a director/screenplay writer was...that was ingeniously covered up by the Allure of the special effects wizardry....AND...the foils he had in Lawrence kasdan, Leigh brackett, Irvin kershner, and most especially Gary Kurtz... Who left halfway through production of empire due to his distaste for where Lucas was taking jedi...

When Lucas whined about Disney "throwing out my ideas" a few months back...it was the last chapter in my book...

Yeah, George...because you obviously ran out of feasible ideas long ago...

What's next? Indiana jones in a flying refrigerator?!

Not meant to pull this thread in a new direction. I read Jar Jar was a experiment of George Lucas's combining multiple animals and human characteristics he's been toying with for decades. He was something like a Fish, rabbit and Creole (don't quote me). The effect is that kids love those characters, but no one realized that adults hate them. Funny, because my Dad hated the Ewoks passionately and I thought they were amazing.

Back on topic (apologies), I think Disney is going to make sure they don't mess up Star Wars Land. They will hit a holy trifecta of Disney-addicts, Star Wars-Addicts and Fathers trying to make sure their kids know something from the 70's is actually cool.

The animation studios have done a 180 in 10 years...
Then Disney was foundering and Shrek was the most bankable franchise out there.

Dreamworks budgets are skyrocketing and their characters are losing appeal.

That's Disney...because they have...as stated...started to really kick it.

I was thinking about the Disney renaissance the other day... Which "waking sleeping beauty" sums up as starting with part of your world in the little mermaid (the ballroom scene of beauty and the beast is my choice)...

And this current rebirth (it's just as big...the case can be made)...was the lantern scene in tangled.

I've stated this one before...nothing that follows goes as big if not for that movie...deceptively awesome.

I think 2/3 of Anna and Elsa's bank account came from the pipe that rapunzel laid.

Now if they would only decide to kick some can In parks...get the pride back.
Completely agree, that movie and in particular that scene paved the way for the latest round of success....

I did wonder if the Episode III played out as originally planned or if they changed it slightly to give fans another reason to hate Jar Jar. Because, in a way, he was responsible for the Empire coming into power.

He was the key to the entire political event...

He was deep throat or the vote that put the nazis into power in the reichstag in 1933
