I can't wait any longer! ~UPDATE 5/25 I'm back!

What an exciting problem to have! I echo most others and say go with option 2. What is your SciFi ADR? Could you push it back a bit if you're worried about two big meals close together? Also since SciFi will OoP (if I remember right you're doing the QSDP) then you could just do like a milkshake and an app instead of a full meal.

Getting close to your FP+ day :-)

Wow, now this is a great problem to have Tracy. Of course I would be remiss if I didn't also mention my supreme love of forgoing a work out to make a ressie for food. :)

If it was me, I would absolutely option 2, hands down. One reason (and probably the main reason) I don't do ADR's in the first place is having to rush to make it on time, or having to leave somewhere, etc. So since this fits in best with your current plans, yeah, that'd be my pick.

It's a fabulous problem to have, Rob! And about forgoing the workout to make plans to eat... agreed! Why do you think I work out to begin with?! This girl loves to eat! But she also loves to fit in her clothes... ;)

I think I've been sold on Option #2. I agree, I really want to prevent the rush-to-get-there factor. Good advice! :thumbsup2

Your DisneyBound for Belle is adorable! :goodvibes And it's even more perfect that you work in a library!

I love Mickey mail! SO much fun!!

Thank you!!! It was so much fun! I should Disneybound to work every day! :goodvibes It'd sure make work more fun! Mickey mail sure is the best, isn't it?!

I know! This is the best kind of problem! My Sci-Fi is actually quite perfect, not until after 8pm! So I'll be good and hungry again by then. :thumbsup2 And yes, good memory - I have the QSDP and will be doing OoP for Sci-Fi, so I could always do that option instead of a full meal too. I'll be doing a milkshake regardless :rotfl: Thanks for the help!

Just popping in to say I'm with everyone else - option 2. I would hold on to at least one other until after FP+ selection to make sure everything flows the way you want. But I'm a total ADR hoarder!

Thanks for the excellent advice! I think that's exactly what I'm going to do! Glad to know a fellow ADR hoarder :thumbsup2;)

I'm with those who voted for choice # 2. It seems like the lessor of all the cons you outlined. And yes....what a problem to have! I'm jealous! I wonder if other folks are having the same difficulty booking? I would like to hear what other folks are reporting....if you would all be so kind!

Thanks! I think that's good advice! :thumbsup2 What a problem to have, indeed!

I'm willing to bet that the issues I was having was due to it being the first day you could book BoG for lunch. I hope they got that cleared up! What a headache that was! :faint: Although... I guess I didn't make out too badly after all! ;)

Sorry I missed all the excitement (busy, busy week last week). First, congrats on getting your multitude of BOG ADR's. I finally was able to get one for our July trip. I do like Option #2 the best.

I finally made it over here! :cool1: I've been sneak-reading during work today to catch up (on lunch now). Excited to see your plans unfold! Also, I recommend a November trip - we love catching it when both Food & Wine and the holiday decorations are going on. :thumbsup2

Also, I agree 100% with this:

Lots of ADR related excitement, indeed! Yes, I see that you indeed had a busy, busy week last week! But lots of fun, too, by the sounds of it! :goodvibes

Thanks! I couldn't believe that two of my ADR attempts actually went through... not complaining of course! Glad you could get one for your July trip too! :thumbsup2

Yay!!! :welcome: So glad you came over! Of course I'd already responded to your PTR with my trip dates, not having first realized that you'd come over to mine... so now you have my trip dates... twice!

I've heard a few recommendations for November and it's been ages (1993 to be exact) since I've been in November - good idea! :thumbsup2

I think Option 2 sounds like it's the best, although Option 1 isn't bad either. Just hold onto the ADR's for a while, I do it all the time. :rolleyes1

You are going to love BoG, I've eaten there twice for lunch and once for dinner, and I personally like lunch much better! It doesn't take long at all, the last time we were there, almost as soon as we sat down, our food was at our table!

I hope you have a great time

Thank you! I'm really looking forward to it! :goodvibes

Thanks, Jen! I think you're right... I haven't parted with them yet... gonna see how my FP+s stack up before I give them up - less than two weeks for that! :thumbsup2

I'm SO excited to eat there! And happy to hear that you like lunch especially! That's so great that your food came out so quickly. I'm so excited!!! :hyper: I see that you've reached the under 2 month mark... YAY!!! :goodvibes

Flower and Garden Crunch Time!
Hi guys! :wave2:
You may remember this, but in case you don't:
my arrival day is the LAST day of the Flower and Garden Festival! You may also remember that I'm not very happy about this fact, but alas... what can ya do?

Well... I'll tell ya what you can do: make the most of every precious second!!!

Therefore, I did what any good Diser would do:
1) Print out Flower and Garden Festival Outdoor Kitchens menus
2) Go through said menus multiple times and select MUST dos (or must eats, if you prefer)
3) Go to Disney Food Blog and obsess over pictures
4) Repeat steps 2 and 3 as often as desired

So that's precisely what I did! Here are my selections of MUST EATS,

Taste of Marrakesh

My flight gets into MCO at 10:45am so even after doing the whole DME, check-in to Pop, catch a bus to Epcot, etc., etc. thing, I still anticipate having a good chunk of the day to spend at Epcot. Surely this means that I can probably make some room for other Flower and Garden tasty treats but this list will at least guide my priorities... and anything else is just bonus! ;)

I can hardly wait until I lay my eyes on this thing of beauty:

I typically head straight for MK upon arrival... but that will have to wait until Epcot closes this time. ::yes::

In other news: I can make FP+ selections on March 18!!!
That's next week!!!

In other other news: the forecast shows highs in the 40s all week which can only
mean one thing: SPRING IS FINALLY COMING!!! :flower1::flower::flower1:

I am probably more excited to try this than I should be!
Flan de queso con chocolate Abuelita
I hadn't seen this one yet I think it's going on my list as well.
Florida Blueberry and Lemon Curd Tart
This looks and sounds so good!

Our weather is starting to warm up as well. :hyper:

On a side note, if you haven't checked out the reviews from easywdw he goes though every item listed.

I like your food selections... well except for one.
pkondz does not do coconut... ever.

Geez Tracy, since your arrival day only gets you the last day of F&G, you may as well just cancel.

:rotfl2:

OK, maybe not. :p

The last time I was at F&G they didn't have the booths, but then I'm not really a big experimenter with food anyway. But I am sure you will enjoy every tasty treat and the absolute beauty of Flower and Garden. My trip in January I arrived at pretty much the same time with DME and POP check in and was in Epcot by around 2, so plenty of time. :thumbsup2

 Yeah... I suppose I'll tough it out. Six additional non-Flower and Garden days at Disney, I guess I'll survive. ;)

Ahhh, so good to know, Rob. I've been debating when is a "safe" time to schedule my FP+s for arrival day. That's about when I expect to arrive, though I'll probably make my FP+ times a bit later just to build in an extra cushion and take the pressure off. Besides, I'm more than happy to kill some time wandering World Showcase whilst I wait. :goodvibes

Hey Tracy! Loving how your plans are looking! Yeah, its too bad you will only get to experience one day of F&G, but its better then none! As I know I already mentioned on my PTR, I am very excited to be there for it too, since it will be my first time. :)

Jardin de Fiestas

Flan de queso con chocolate Abuelita - Mexican chocolate custard
with whipped cream and cinnamon

This is something I would definitely be interested in trying! :goodvibes

YAY! That is super exciting!!!:cheer2:

SPRING IS FINALLY COMING!!!

Thank goodness. :woohoo:
