Are there any threads about single parent meet ups at Disney? Wondering if any people in my situation will be there in late August. Never thought I'd be here asking but this is my life now.

Not meet ups per se but check out the families board and there are lots of single parent tips and such!

Also, I find disney one of the best places to travel as a single parent. People always ask why I don't take my son somewhere else, but disney is super easy for single parents!

I'm sure there will be hundreds of other single parents there and hundreds more who wish they were. You could start a single parent DIS meet up thread.

I could not help but laugh at this because it has two meanings: either there are single parents who wish they could be at WDW, or there are parents at WDW who wish they could be single parents.

Actually, I'm sure both interpretations are correct.

I have always been a single parent and have traveled to wdw several times and few times just my DS and I. So you are not alone!

Another single parent here.

Our first trip to DW was right after the divorce so it was a little tough. Seeing all the families every where you look you begin to think you are the only one. But you eventually realize there are many others just like you. Hopefully you will find some other single parents vacationing in August.

Single parent and my son and I have been going every other year (sometimes we slip in every year) since he was 3, he is 34 now and his wife goes with us now. While it can be difficult at times if you are a mother with a boy child and it comes bathroom time, I found it kind of relaxing just the two of us.

I am a remarried mom taking DD by myself (well maybe - my dh might be there for a few days). This is my first trip with her and I can't wait for some mommy and me time. She will love it too. I am hoping to find someone to hang with - especially for pool time! - but if not, we will have a blast. Someone already posted the link to the single parent meet up.

Single mom here of two boys. We go to WDW every year, usually with my parents and siblings. It's easier with help but now that they are older, it's not so hard. The hardest part for me is seeing all the couples. I long for the day when I will find someone to hold hands with while walking the World Showcase, snuggle up to during Wishes, or laugh with on Splash Mountain....I often feel like the only single mom in the World.
