What campsites will you be staying at?
A bunch of us went to Disneyland with this tour package... http://www.supervacation.ca/en/content/uswest/dis09we.pdf
- In addition to Disneyland, you hit Vegas, Universal, and San Francisco.
- Opportunity for a side trip to Grand Canyon West Rim.
- hotel/motel and transportation included. Great for a budget traveller.
- meals are at Chinese Buffets, malls, and McD's
- driver pulls over every few hours for bathroom breaks
- great opportunity for kids to see the West Coast on a road trip
- I prefer the trip in December when the weather is cooler. Don't need to take the kids out of school. Must book by early November to secure spots for this popular time
Those buses are 1/4 full of kids for Xmas. As you are not driving.... it's very easy for your to reach for your youngin's for some quality parenting time. That looks like a good way to see all those places but I would NOT take kids on that tour, at least not young ones. In a car on a road trip is challenging enough, don't think I'd want to subject strangers to my rowdy youngin's LOL

I understand the tour itinery may not be for everyone... once the bus pulls into town (Vegas, Los Angelos, and San Fran). You actually have a choice with staying on the tour or just walk away to do your own thing for a half day or full day. If you look at the flyer, the admission prices are EXCLUDED. This allows the riders to meet family friends or do other things (shopping?), while the main group enjoys the guide around town. Very flexible. It's not something that we would ever consider doing (group tours aren't for us), but I can think of several people this tour might be good for so thanks for the info, I will pass it along ;-)
Time to bump this up!
Does anyone know of a place near DLR that will deliver groceries to your hotel? A California version of Garden Grocer? DD and I have a mother/daughter trip planned for the end of July. We'll be at the Tropicana for 4 nights, and we'll only have carry-on luggage. We want to have water and soda as well as breakfast and a few snack items in the room, since the room will have a fridge and microwave.
Or is there somewhere in walking distance where we can load up on these items when we arrive?
Von's delivers!
Thank you! As long as they don't have a problem with a Canadian billing address or credit card, looks like that will solve our problem right there! Scratch one more thing off my list of things to do.
