Ebay pricing, what gives?

I was searching 2T rompers on ebay today. There are used rompers from gymboree whose prices confuse me. $46.00 for a used romper with the auction still active. So I searched just gymboree rompers, more of the same. You can get a new one for less. What am I missing?

The same thing happens with Amazon. People don't know any better, or are willing to pay more for convenience or for a certain pattern. eBay makes it easier to find things, but it also drove up the market price for alot of resales one used to be able to get cheaply local.

That's weird because I rarely put Gymboree on ebay anymore as it never seems to really sell...

Send the lister a message and ask if the price is a mistake they may of meant to ask $4.60.

Go through advanced settings and see what that item has gone for in the past.

Vintage Gymboree has a large following because of it's durability, details, and good resale value (something the new clothes does not have). Bubble rompers are sought after especially certain lines. The person who buys it now will be able to sell it for the same or more next year. If you really want to see something search baby gap rompers-many go for $100 easy.

I can see how that would be. My oldest son is almost 25, and the clothes he had from Gymboree were made of amazing, tough, non shrinking colorfast cotton. They stayed brilliant and dark through 3 kids. The stuff I see new now doesn't compare at all.

The pattern was from the mermaid line that my older daughter had quite a few years ago! I had no idea about the resale value of rompers! I wish I had known!

Yes! I've noticed this with numerous items on eBay lately. In many instances, I've been able to find a brand new item for much less than what someone is asking on eBay for a used version of the same thing. It's sort of baffling to me.

Are these actually being sold or bid on? I think a better judge is looking at the sold/completed auctions and seeing what things actually sell and go for these prices. Sometimes people are just outrageous in their thinking.

The Mermaid Magic and Glamour Safari.. and Strawberry Fields... bubbles are absolutely ridiculous! I know on the Vintage Gymboree facebook group, a mermaid bubble sold for $75.

People are freaking insane, basically! :P
