have never done this before but have read some good things about it. i saw dinner was from 4 to 6. but when i went to reserve, there were no times.
can someone who has done this help? i must admit i have only done disney dinners before where you have a specific time.
thanks

Hi! We did the dinner the week of Christmas, and the time was 5:30. They first do photos, then you line up again to go to your table.

Also, the tables are pre-assigned (I assume by Oder the reservations were made), so don't worry about getting there early to camp out in front.

The times vary, which is why they will only show the range. This varies based on other events and on show times, specifically the Shamu show on that day.

I believe if you call the Call Center they will be able to give you a more exact time for dates in the near future, but I don't believe they will be able to give a time for months out.

Right now I believe, just based on observation, that all the dine times are currently at 4:30, although once later close times get here in March I am sure that will slide back a little.

They normally don't tell you what time it is going to be until you check in at the Reservation Counter on the day. They'll also write down the time on the map for you so you don't forget and tell you where you need to check in and wait for the meal.

thank you everyone for the responses. no one tried to talk me out of it so i think we will give it a try. thanks again!!

We enjoyed it very much. It was definitely a highlight of our day. My trip report from this past Christmas has some additional information, but no pictures (sorry). There is also a dedicated thread at the top of the forum with pictures, plus various other trip reports throughout. I thought the food quality and quantity were very good (plus I got to enjoy a couple adult beverages). The interaction was excellent. As I said in my report, it was especially fun for my children to go from the dinner to the main show and understand what goes into the training and even see trainers they had just talked with one on one.

You also may not be finding times because I believe that Dine With Shamu/Underwater viewing is currently closed for refurbishment. Or I know it was about a month ago; not sure how long it's scheduled to be closed....it could be open right now :confused3

We had dinner there on Saturday- check-in was at 4:15 and they dinner started at 4:30. The trainers came out around 5:15 after everyone was eating. There are only about 30 tables and only half were full, so we all got to sit next to the glass. We had a great time and food was actually pretty good. I would definitely recommend it.

Becker, it's good to hear you enjoyed it. I did it once in early February three years ago (might have been 4). The evening we did it they were full, it wasn't running smoothly at all, and they ran out of almost all the deserts by the time we finished our dinner. My wife and I didn't even consider doing it on our upcoming May trip, but I may give it another chance.
