What is the "Kid's Mickey Check Meal"? I don't remember this the last time we were there in 2014. Is it new?
TIA

It's Mickey's version of a more healthy meal for the kids. It is just one option among the other regular kid's meals.

Ohhh Thank you! What if my son/daughter would rather have something off the other menu - ie instead of salad a fruit cup - can they switch some items? Or is it an all or nothing?
TIA

If you change a Mickey Check meal...it's no longer a Mickey Check meal. You can ask your server if it can be altered, some will..some won't

1) There are NO substitutions on the Mickey Check Meal.
2) All or nothing.
3) If you want something else, then do not order the Mickey Check Meal.
4) Per the menu posting, ". . . Complete Meal without substitution."

I've never had a problem adjusting a check meal. I usually just say something like she will have the grilled chicken but can we get ice cream (or whatever) instead of the fruit cup or fries etc. obviously if you change things the calories count etc no longer applies but I've never had a problem doing so

Thanks - I really have always found Disney resturants extremly helpful. :flower1:I have a son who is underweight and a VERY picky eater. Trying to find meals he will eat is hard - even at Disney.:worship: The only meats he will eat are chicken and shrimp. (Sadly he really isn't fond of chicken so he will only have so many meals with chicken nuggets!) No sauces - even on pizzas and ice cream! :crazy2: The children's menus I have found to be lacking in variety - I know it is hard and you can't please everyone! Hopefully , they will let us switch a couple of thingspixiedust: If they do I may be able to get a couple of meals in the boy!!

If there are items in the Mickey Check meal that you like then just order them. Ex: Grilled chicken w/ mashed potatoes, green beans and fruit salad is the Mickey Check meal. Ask for grilled chicken, fries and ice cream sundae. Items offered on the check meal can be ordered a la carte.

In September, every restaurant that we tried let us mix and match entrees and sides from both the regular kids menu and the Mickey Check meal. As I recall, we didn't even ask, the servers would ask "what side would you like vegetables, fries, etc." I wonder if the language Rusty is referring to has to do with the fact that if you substitute the vegetables for fries, then it no longer meets the nutritional guidelines to qualify as a healthy choice.

That's been our experience as well. We've been told countless times that we can do any combo of entree, sides, and dessert just as long as they all come from the kid's menu.
