Meet and Greets with Random Characters

Hi! :figment:
Last November when my family and I were at WDW we finally got to meet characters after 2 years of lines being 20+ minutes, but in all fairness it was August. Anyway, this year we got to meet so many my auto graph book was so filled we had to write on the back cover, because there was a surprise character, jasmin, walking around in Epcot next to figment. I was wondering, are there any other Places that are common for surprise m&g's?
Thanks a ton!

I think random characters pop up in Epcot when they're training so you may catch them randomly there. Also DHS has Characterpalooza on the Streets of America in the afternoon-I believe on Fantasmic nights. Google Kenny the Piratepirate: He's the character expert:thumbsup2

Usually there are characters in the Toy Soldier shop in the UK area of Epcot. Husband and I had a photo op with Pooh, Tigger, and Piglet. Mary Poppins and Alice were also there.

Two years ago I was waiting for my family outside of the drawing class exit in the animation building and suddenly the Evil Queen just swooped around the corner and stood into the hallway I was in. She stood in a corner and waited. I was like..'So this is happening'! I was the only one in the room with her (and her handler). She asked if I would like to 'make a portrait' with her. It was the highlight of my trip. A few minutes later the class let out and my twin girls got to meet her too. You never know who you might meet!

Yes!! Characterpaloolza at DHS is the best! No lines, great character experiences. As mentioned, Kenny the Pirate has the most accurate information on what times this takes place.

Figment?!!?!!! Do you have a picture? If so, please post it- I haven't seen him around in years. I would love to run across him! As far as your question, keep an eye on Kenny the Pirate's website. If anything regular is happening, he will know about it! Also, he also has all the character meets and times, and there are several that are not as hugely popular so people don't plan ahead as much for them, and if you get there right before they come out you can be one of the first to see them. Once people see them out, they will start coming over and creating a good sized line.

That's a great photo!

We had an awesome Evil Queen encounter, too - at DL I was walking my 3 year old around where it was quiet(er) and went to the little Snow White statue garden near the castle. She came out and my 3 year old had a fantastic time with her. At first she said "Mama, she doesn't look very happy!" but then she hopped out of her stroller to say hello. She was awesome "Are you going to hug me now? Ohhhhkaaaaay" and then told her to "cross your arms, like this, like a Queen, and make your MOST grumpy face" It is one of my favorite Disney character experiences.DL Queen.jpg DL queen 3.jpg DL queen 2.jpg

I always get some unusual characters at Epcot. My eyes are always open. We love to get autographs of characters we have never met before. :dogdance:

I didn't realize until recently how lucky I was during my first trip to have some rare character experiences. I met Jiminy Cricket and Max Goof. Both of these character experiences were great. I hope to have more in the future.

Here are my best surprises:
Captain Pheobus at Epcot

I always see lots of characters at Epcot! Princesses in France, Germany - Mulan in China - and Alice and Mary Poppins at England!

have never run into any random characters...I really wish they would pop up with more older/lesser known characters more often!

I'm crossing my fingers that Meeko will show up at Epcot training the day we're there.... my cat is named after him!
I know it's a slim to none chance... but i'm still hoping!
