Re-booked through the UK site

Okay, so thanks to all the help, I re-booked my reservation through the UK site. I got the discount and paid for the whole reservation.

I also created an account on the website. I tried to link my reservation to my account, but it won't let me. I put in my name as MR CHUCK SALERNO and used the confirmation code given in my email. It keeps telling me that either the code or name is wrong and they're not.. they're directly from the confirmation letter.

Is there a delay between the time the reservation is made and when I can link it to my online account? I tried emailing them for help and received the 'we can not reply to this email' email. I would have to call them.. which I don't want to do...

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Chuckers

Same thing for me. I never get it it work, so I stopped trying. And the email I think is automated, no-reply

I've never even attempted it as I've not heard many reports saying it works.

If you call them they'll have your reservation. X

Great news that's you got the deal you wanted.

i don't bother trying to get into my reservation through the Disney website either - you'll get your confirmation email within 48 hours, that will have all your booking details, and is an exact copy of what DLP has reserved for you.

Okay... but how can I make dining reservations? Do I have to call DLP?

Yes, everyone has to call DLP to make dining reservations, theres no other way of doing it unless you want to wait until you arrive at your hotel, then you can do it at your reception, or at City Hall in the main park. In this respect, DLP is not like WDW, theres no need to book your dining reservations months or even weeks in advance - if you're going in low season you will be fine to book when you get there (apart from Cafe Mickey, as thats a very popular choice even in low season).

Awesome! since I am looking for Silver Spur on Thursday June 11th, I really don't have to worry about a booking in advance :)

Ahhh.. but I do have another question.. DL and WDW make your trip special if you tell them you're celebrating something. Since I am going for my 50th Birthday, should I try to have that information linked to my reservation or it's not like that at DLP?

you can email or phone your onsite hotel and give them that information - now theres absolutely no guarantee of any pixie dust at DLP hotels, but theres certainly no harm in letting them know you are celebrating a special occasion whilst at their hotel. I usually email a couple of weeks before my trip, or call about a week before, to ask for a nice room and let slip how excited i am to be there if we've got a birthday/anniversary etc happening during our trip.

I didn't know you could email the hotel.. that's cool. I'll do that and let them know I am very excited to be celebrating my 50th birthday there and ask if there's anything special I need to know as an American coming to France for the first time :)

For future reference, just type your surname to access booking I.e. SALERNO

I will say the site is still screwy. I saw my reservation, but it didn't stick. I got a new confirmation email and now my reservation is actually linked to my account. However, I can't view it because there's a 'problem'. Whatever. Since I can't make dining reservations on the site, it's not worth worrying about anyway :)
