Which Pet loop?

I pretty much decided I wanted to try and get Loop 300. Love that it is back closer to beach area, dog park, and main buildings. But realize thanks to the detailed color coded map shared on this Camping forum, that is will have a sand pad in the back? We have two dogs( Chocolate lab, and a Jack Russel), and am afraid the sand will get tracked inside our RV too much. I am being picky Penny but we waited our entire married life to purchase our dream trailer( 2014 Mobile Suites, 38 ft) last year, and I am a bit nervous about it. Any thoughts? Would Loop 500 suit my needs and solve the sand situation? Will having an all paved pad make a huge difference? I love my dogs, I love my husband, and I LOVE my RV! You may guess at will in which order......

I always stay in premium so I am not sure about the sand, but I think you have issues in the premium loops with the pine needles. I have two big dogs. They love to lay around and drag pine needles into the rig. Needles in bushy tails etc. Basically I think the pine needles are the problem and you won't get away from them in either premium or preferred.

Good to know! I am thinking of doing an enclosed area with portable gates or something. Saw some in loop videos on you tube. I was wondering if Disney had any rules against them. any one use something like that?

We have stayed in loop 300 twice and was just in loop 600 and we noticed the difference. We didn't track in near as much in the premium 600 loop. The sites are wider and no sand/crushed shell.

They are fine. I see tons of them.

We don't have carpet in our camper, so what the dog drags in gets swept up easily. We stayed at a campground in VA Beach. The dog brought in lots of sand, but more from the beach and from walking around the campground than from our site. I haven't stayed at FW yet to know what the roads, paths and dog park are like as far as sand/dirt. Some of how much gets dragged in will depend on what else you do with your dogs, and how long their fur is. We have a greyhound, so she doesn't get much sand or dirt trapped in her fur. We reserved a preferred so assume we will get loop 300.

What I really hate is the mud. Sand and dirt are easy to clean up, but muddy paws are a pain!

With two dogs (I have two labs and an 11 year old boy as well) I would recommend getting yourself a rechargeable cordless stick vacuum. We have one that is made by the Swiffer folks, nothing fancy but it does the trick! Also entry mats that catch a lot of sand and dirt and stuff. Outside of the Fort there are so many great places to visit that won't have paved pads.

We were also thinking of 300 but thinking of 600 also with the input here. For those that have stayed in 600, what sites are near the water/pond? I saw a pic and it looked so pretty.

The Mobile Suites will fit in some but not all of the 300 loop sites. They do have sand pad at the back and side of the site. But I manage it just fine with an australian shephered and a minpin. I put my awning mat down which does slow how much gets tracked into the RV. As long as I sweep the mat I can get away with only having to vacuum every 2-3 days to keep it reasonable.

The dyson rechargable is pretty good, but I prefer the compact hoover nano plug in in my old RV as it stores well. My new 5th wheel has a built in, but I still need to break out the nano once in a while as it lacks the beater brush.

If you go premium the 500 loop is basically on the other side of the road from the 300 and that is my choice if I am going premium loop.

Uh oh, 600 loop snakes and gators! :scared:pug: Is 300 a loop that collects rain water or swampy? Thought I saw a video on Youtube and it looked wet and swampy but maybe those were just a couple sites.

None of my sites got very swampy, but there are areas that runoff can collect, but not in the sites

Just booked preferred with request for 300 loop. Still thinking I might have preferred the premium 600 loop, looked so pretty there, but I think we'll like being close to the beach area. Looking forward to looping around with our bikes so we'll know for our next trip! Woo hoo can't wait! So excited. :lovestruc:dogdance:

'All' the loops are pretty 'swampy' right now! :crazy2: Rained all last night and today and still raining, supposed to clear up after tomorrow though - standing water everywhere! Would 'not' want to be in a tent right now! We are in loop 100.

Sorry to hear about the rain. We're heading down mid April. Hopefully it won't be as rainy. I'll post firsthand what we thought of our loop.
