Is Gringott's running "normally" today? We'll be there next Tuesday & Wednesday specifically to ride it, and if it's down all day again my DSis will be exceedingly disappointed!

Yup it is running and all the effects are supposed to be working great.

Other boards are reporting that one of the screens near the end of the ride has been removed. I haven't ridden it yet, so I avoided the details and don't know which screen/element it is. No word yet on if/when that element will return.

The section of screen "removed" is the section attached to the Kuka arm that pulls away for your big escape. Supposedly, during after hour maintenance/testing the screen didn't pull away in time and the train ran into it.

Rode on Saturday afternoon and didn't notice a difference from a previous ride less than 2 weeks ago and others in September. Which portion is the "big escape"?

Replied as "spoiler" for those that don't want to know about the ride.

In the second Scene with Bellatrix and Voldemort there is a small section of screen in front of the tracks. When Harry casts the spell from the Dragon's back to pull you to safety, the screen pulls away allowing the train to pass. In this YouTube vidio
you can see the scree pull away about 3:10 into the video. From recent reports, that section is just "black" the entire time.

Thanks! And good call on the spoiler tag too.

Can't say I've noticed that before--it's amazing the details that go into some attractions.

I knew it was there and I noticed it from row 6. I won't get back to Orlando for quite a while but I don't think it missing will negatively impact the casual guest. Like you said, It's one of those amazing details that went into the attractions. I've also read they've been able to bump the fog back up in that area so that may compensate for the moving screen. With the PP not wanting Spoilers I was trying to be careful about my reply then remembered the new software had the spoiler tag.
