Lisa check the official name of the show. If The Amazing Race is #1 because you recorded it during another season, Tivo won't recognize it because the name has probably changed. Set up a series recording for The Amazing Race 26. The same thing happened to me a couple years ago.

This is infuriating. I just checked and it is not listed as 26. Went to next week and it isn't highlighted and go to record and set up season pass but it lists it as already existing and asks if I wish to modify recording. Ugh!

Family was watching a movie so I could not check until now and missed it again. :-(
 
Episode 1: now I know the way to wash off mud is to plunge in an ice bath. :-)

I thought the sake would be bad, but didn't realize it was just ONE they actually had to retrieve.

Were they in Tokyo on a weekend? I expected all the cab rides to be stuck in traffic.

I am not finding the nurse' voice as irritating as observed. But that could be because I read y'all's comments here. Husband thinks the reason doc isn't finding many women is because he is so picky. Lol! His demeanor towards her improved once he had to humble himself after his error with directions.

Tuskegee girlfriend is annoying. I get they have been together 10 years, but enough with the wedding references.

CBS on demand has lots of commercials.

So far I like NKOTB, lawyers, and the blind date gay couple. Holding out for the doc and the nurse. Also like one other couple but blanking on how to tell you who that is. I think it is the one who said the guy was hot. She is blonde.
 


It's been bugging me: where have I seen one of the guys in the blind date gay couple? The one said he worked as a pageant consultant - I'm sure I saw him on Say Yes to the Dress, Atlanta. I think that's it, I'm so sure I've seen him somewhere on TV.

So far, my fav team are the Olympians.
 
I loved the #selfiefail...so funny. With the wandering around and not knowing what to do for anything, I knew they wouldn't last long. Surprised they were able to do two legs. I like the two blind date lawyers the best so far.
 


I thought the pageant consultant looked familiar also. I think you are right and he was on Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta. I think he was on the the ones with the bridesmaid dresses. The couple who went home were so far behind there was no way they could make up the time especially since they missed that train.

Kurt isn't from Say Yes to the Dress. They do look similar though. He is from Kentucky and a pageant director. I thought for sure he would have done better on the dancing challenge!

As an NKOTB fan for more than 20 years with Jonathan as my favorite, it was no surprise at all to me that he did not choose the dancing challenge. LOL He has a really hard time with learning choreography and I think he figured the time crunch of the challenge would stress him out and make it even worse. I agree it was pretty funny that the person in a boy band was half of one of only two or three couples to opt out of the dance challenge though.
 
Watched both episodes yesterday. I am surprised with how they set up the blind dates. I was expecting them to be set up to fail.
 
I wish ALL the teams were "blind dates" then it would put them ALL on an even playing field. I felt sorry for the team that was eliminated, he just couldn't "get" the dance. :(

Don't have any favorite teams yet, but did understand why the trucker couple u-turned the other couple since they thought they were the only ones behind them. They didn't do it to be malicious, as teams sometimes are known to do.
 
Caught up on week 2.

I don't think the selfie fail being a selfie success would have made a difference.

I though the prize was cool.

Looks like everyone on a blind date is having nice friendships. Phil must be disappointed. Lol.

This episode seemed so short. Haha.

Now we know why he was so panicked over the fanny pack.

My 4yo is cute: love is spreading all around. Lol.

And it looks like the blind dates crack even more next week.

And oh my word on Hayley (the nurse). It's like they kept her sane last week to turn around and have her just have a free for all this week.
 
Yup, the nurse sounds like she really resents doctors. The way she was scolding Doc constantly for the one mistake. Get over it!

I'm happy for the couple who came in first. And also happy it was a non-elimination leg.
