1 adult with a 4 and 6 year old. How will rides work?

I am going to Disney at the end of March, just me and my 6 and 4 year old. I have been before with all 3 kids and hubby, and just the middle kiddo but I can't quite figure out the logistics of rides with just me and 2 kids. Both are over 40" and love Goofy's Barnstormer & the 7 Dwarf Mine Ride. How can I make this work? Can the 6 year old ride by himself in a car while I ride with the 4 year old? Suggestions? Any other rides that I haven't thought of that might give us problems?

I think in some cases you might have to sit with the 4 yo, sometimes they'll have you all sit together or you by your self. I'd say it depends on the ride. Haunted mansion depending on size of kids you could all sit in one doom buggy. Toy story mania, maybe have them sit together and you sit separately so they're not paired with stranger.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it won't work on the few rides that seat 2. They require that anyone under the age of 7 be accompanied by someone at least 14. You'll either have to call the 6 year old 7 or skip the rides that seat 2. Off the top of my head, that's the 2 coasters you already mentioned, some more intense ones that a 4 year old isn't tall enough for anyway, and very little else. They'll let 3 of you squeeze in on most of the rides, assuming you're small enough that it will work. You'll be able to ride Buzz and TSMM together, but one person won't have a gun.

That's sort of what I feared :( And unfortunately I'm not a small person so I will have to think on skipping vs having the 6 year old graduate to 7 for a few days (he's 6 and a half, tall and mature so it wouldn't be much of a stretch, just not sure I like putting him in a position to lie)

To ride alone a child must be 7 years of age.

To ride with another child one must be at least 14.

Aside from the lying (which I agree with not putting him in that position), you also need to make sure he is mature enough to follow directions should a ride stop or completely break down. I would just do the things you can all do together. Much less stressful that way. Good luck! :)
