We are going to sea world and discovery cove this October. We are thinking about getting the buy one get one annual pass so we can get the discovery cove discount. Is there anyway to know what the discovery cove rate will be before we buy the passes to know if it is worth it? We are planning on going October 12.

Anyone know? Also, if we do buy the AP can we book discovery cove discounted if the AP has not been activated? Would like to do our dc day first then sea world.

we did this and our rate was $169 each w/ the dolphin swim. I think it was $99 each without. I believe I called them and got the rate for my date - May 31.
We dont plan to use our APs until June but they let me go ahead and book.

I logged into the passmember site and for October (all month) it would be $99 (no dolphin swim), $169 with the dolphin swim, and Sea Venture would be $39. These are per person of course.

I just bought the sea world AP and the email I received says they are active. Are they really active and I have one year from today or will the year not start till we use them?

With this deal, do you still get 14 days free at Aquatica & SW?

From what I read you do not get the extra days when you purchase discovery cove at the AP rate.

all Busch parks the annual pass is from January 1 to December 31. Sometimes, if you buy the pass, for example in November or December 14 you buy a 15 pass, there is a promotion that the pass is good for the rest of 14 and all of 15. I am not sure that was promoted this past year. However, regardless of whether you buy your pass January 1 or December 30, both will expire at the end of the day December 31. They are not active one year from purchase/activation.

If you buy DC tickets using your AP, then you do not get the 14 days free at Aquadica and SW. Since you have the SW AP, you can go free to SW, however, unless the AP was also for Aquadica, you will have to pay a discounted price to go to Aquatica.

I just bought SW/Aquatica annual passes on 2/28 when they were B1G1, and on the evoucher, it says it expires 2/29/16.

Then maybe it is different from the parks? My AP for SW says expires December 31. I bought it yesterday. That is a good deal though.

I asked the question via email to SeaWorld, and here is their response (dated November 26th, 2014):

Dear Gina,

Thank you for contacting our SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment® family of parks. We appreciate your questions as they are valuable in helping us to improve the high level of service that we strive to provide.

I am excited to learn that you are planning to visit SeaWorld® Orlando and would like to purchase a one year Pass! The full paid pass is valid for one full year from the date that you redeem your online e-voucher at the park for your pass; within one year from your date of purchase. To make your purchase, please visit http://seaworldparks.com/seaworld-orlando/Book-Online/Tickets/AnnualPassesTourist. The cost is the same for everyone three to sixty four. Guests sixty five and older qualify for the senior rate. When you arrive at the billing page, do not fill in the shipping information. You will receive an email prompting you to print your e-vouchers once your purchase is completed.

Then on your first visit, present the online full paid e-voucher and a photo ID at the toll booth to receive your free parking on your first visit. You will redeem the e-vouchers at any open self-serve kiosk for your active pass. The pass will be valid for one year from that date. Be sure to also present the pass to the cashier when making a food or merchandise purchase to receive your 10% discount.

Oh, and I guess that us why the Sesame Place passes expire at the end of the year, unlike the other Busch parks. Maybe because if the not year round open.
