Eating lunch at the Leaky Cauldron

How hard is it to get a table at the Leaky Cauldron at lunchtime? Is there a better time to try to eat there (eg, 2pm or 4pm)? My kids love Richters, but I would love to try LC if it's not too crowded. We are going to be there June 7-12.

I'm sure our experience probably isn't comparable, but on a rainy February day we waltzed right in. It was late--like 1:45, but there was no wait at all. We did the same thing at the Three Broomsticks the next day for breakfast at 9:45 am. No wait.

We were there last week, we had no trouble walking in and having lunch either day (Monday - 3 Broomsticks, Tuesday - Leaky Cauldron) at lunch time. 3 Broomsticks is small, so I could see if attendance picks up there might be an issue, but Leaky Cauldron is roomy.

We went at noon and there was maybe 20 people ahead of us in line, but it moved very quickly. There is an employee directing people to register numbers for ordering, and then an employee seats you when you have your food. Having someone seat you was very helpful, because it prevented people from holding seats while waiting for their party to order and get the food, and it helped so you didn't have to walk around with a tray full of food looking for a place to sit. The whole process from getting in line until we were done eating was probably only about 45 minutes.

Only negative was that the employee seating us at Leaky Cauldron wanted us (party of two) to share a table with another party of two. I think they were trying to cram people in. We declined and were sat at our own table.

We didn't have the breezy experience. January 6, just after lunch, waited upwards of 40 minutes in line to order. We were soooo hungry and it was just painful lol.

Guess we'll just have to watch the lines and see what they look like. We will be in Orlando 6 nights, so 5 full days and 1 partial for the parks. USF & IOA are the only things on the agenda at the moment, and we have the 14 day 3-park tickets, so we can breeze in and out as we like. Crowd levels look to be moderate per all calendars except UT, which says everything in June is busy every day.

If I'd realized that the boys weren't going to be out for snow days, we would have left for Orlando May 30 instead of June 6... At the moment, it looks like they are still getting out on schedule on May 22. That's a shocker.

We were they over President's Day weekend and it was very crowded in the HP parks. Even when the lunch lines seemed long, they moved quickly. I was impressed that the wait was short...since the line was lonnngggg

We were there over fall break and walked right in LC during prime lunch time. YMMV.
