Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE RESORT Information & Questions

I don't know if they will store your luggage, but I would be surprised if you need them to do so. There's a lot of space under the bed where you could put it. Also there's a shelf above the clothes hangers that's quite large and deep.

Hello fellow POR fans! I am excited to be returning to WDW and POR for Princess Half Marathon weekend in February. It's been a while since I stayed there and in the past you could fax a room request (and I was always fortunate to have my requests granted, which made our trips extra special!). I read somewhere that we now email room requests. Does anyone know if that's the case and what the email is? Apologies if this has been asked and answered already - I am enjoying catching up on the thread and anticipating my trip in February of 2023!

You’d be best to call them in at this point

Good morning, I was able to add a day to the front of our Disney vacation and are staying at Port Orleans Riverside for just a day before moving over to Caribbean Beach. Our plan is to spend the afternoon/evening at the resort and then head over to Disney Springs for the morning and early afternoon. Are the boats to Disney Springs running?

Yes!

Wireless Chargers Embedded Into Nightstands Being Tested at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside

Guest staying in rooms 9001-9040 of Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside may notice that their room is now equipped with a wireless charger that's embedded within one of their nightstands. This new feature is currently being tested at a limited number of resorts, so Guests experiencing challenges with the device are encouraged to report them to the Front Desk for troubleshooting purposes.

If the test is successful, this new feature may be rolled out to more resorts in the coming months.

Construction Work Beginning on July 11 at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside

Beginning July 11, a refurbishment project (routine construction work on the roofs of select buildings) will begin at Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. While construction takes place, Guests will be able to see and hear construction work in and around Alligator Bayou during daytime hours, typically from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Construction work will not impact any Guest amenities and is expected to be complete in late September.

Good to know it will be done before our December trip. I enjoy the AB walks too much, don't want them spoiled with construction equipment.

For folks who Uber/Lyft instead of busses, are they readily available lately? What ballpark costs are you finding to parks?

THESE PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE EARS CAME STRAIGHT FROM A SOUTHERN GARDEN

You can find these over at Port Orleans Riverside.

I haven’t used rideshare from POR but have used it around property a few times each of my last trips. Prices are generally around $10ish, if that, give or take. Can’t speak to how readily available they are right now since I haven’t been since April but I’ve never had an issue getting one.

How is the AC at POR? Is it one of those units that turns off and on all night (I am a light sleeper). Also, I read that at CSR there is a fan in the bathroom that turns on when someone goes in there. Do they have that at POR too? Thank you.

Busses: What is the first bus stop and last bus stop at POR?

Yes, it's thermostat based so comes on to get it to the desired temperature and then turns off. As they are inside the room, unfortunately the noise is quite noticeable so you might be better just using the ceiling fan at night.

We will be there in 21 days! Never stayed at POR (usually stay at POP) and excited to read all the great reviews!

Couple of questions:
- we are booked standard room. What section/building number do folks recommend we request? Probably most important would be near bus stop, but updated refurb room is more important
- how late to the boats and buses run from Disney Springs to POR?

I'd recommend building 80 or 85 in the Magnolia Bend section. Very close to a bus stop and just a short walk over the bridge to the lobby/food court area. You can also catch the bus at the lobby as well. Have a great trip!

I'm trying to book a stay at one of the Royal Guest rooms that accommodates up to 4 people, however since we are a family of 5, that option is not available to us. Our youngest is 3 years old and typically at hotel stays, he sleeps between me and my wife on a queen or king bed or we ask the hotel for a crib/playpen. Would Disney allow this arraignment or would we have to book one of the 5th sleeper options (even though he won’t sleep in the Murphy bed)?

First, there are no King Beds in the Royal Rooms, they all feature two Queens. Maximum occupancy is four people (aged 3+) plus up to two infants under three years old.

If you did want to book a King Bed room the maximum occupancy is three people (again aged 3+) plus up to two infants, and for a three person booking you would be placed in the Alligator Bayou section to provide the fold-down bed option. Similarly, a booking for 5 people will automatically be allocated an Alligator Bayou room.

You can request a Pack'n'Play cot for any room.

Hi all! Does anyone happen to have the recreation guide for August? At portorleans.org, it's not showing any movies at POR, only POFQ. Is that right, or is the schedule just not out yet? Thanks for your help!
