What do you silently judge people for?

Well....since I guarantee people are judging me (because we definitely all do it), I'm ok with judging others - LOL!

For me its.......

When people let their kids watch videos or play video games at the highest volume level when in public
When people allow their young teenage daughters to look the way I did when I went to clubs in my young 20s
When people try to outdo each other on facebook with how they spoil their kids
When people don't put their grocery cart in the cart coral (especially if it's super close)
When people speak on speaker phone in a public place

I could go on and on, but again, I'm 100% certain people are judging me too, so it's all good - LOL!

HOO BOY, have I ever judged some people based on their shirts at Disney.

I only judge them based on if they have Disney or non-Disney clothes. 😝 Me, I have a Disney shirt for every park day (and then some!). Some people need to elevate their park-gear game, especially some friends of mine. I'm embarassed to be seen with them! And don't even get me started on the Universal shirts...!

Leaving their cart in the parking lot. It’s almost the perfect way to learn a lot about someone you don’t know. There is very rarely a valid reason to not return the cart and I believe most people realize it’s the right thing to do but there is no punishment for not returning the cart and no one is forced to return the cart. It’s like a human behavior test.

I judge peoples shirts all the time in the Disney parks.

My favorite is "#Broke". Maybe you shouldn't go to the parks if you're broke? 🤦‍♀️

There's one I remember seeing that was very very pro-gun. To the point where I was kind of surprised it was allowed in the park at all.

I judge the grammar police puckerup: lol

On a serious note I had a crappy education. Horrible. Way below state averages in testing was the norm for my area. Luckily I got out of that place and got some form of an education for a few years but so many people I went to school with write on a 3rd grade level. It’s sad. I see it on their social media posts. I’m sure if they knew better they’d do better.

People who are on their phones in a public restroom. Women who wear high heals and short short skirts to amusement parks. This one is probably showing my age but at the casino lately (probably because the bars are not open so more young people coming in) the women wearing high heals and a short skirt so short, you can see their undies. The one I saw last night, I definitely judged as did a lot of others around me. 300# short short skirt=no People who are bringing their dogs in claiming they are service dogs. I feel guilty writing this all out.

I play an online game on my iPad where you upgrade certain characters and I'm always silently judging because they aren't really great offensive/defensive characters.

I don't think there's anything wrong with judging people as long as they aren't aware of it and you don't treat them as "lesser" due to whatever you find them lacking in.

Someone who was never taught good manners is not going to teach them to their kids. Someone who was never taught proper grammar is going to make errors in their speech. And sometimes people just act like jerks, do stupid things, and make mistakes. Or sometimes people will just disagree with others' life choices. As long as we don't think that we are better than the person with dicey grammar or unfortunate taste in clothing or whatever, it's fine for us to judge them. People are all equally deserving, but we're not all the same.

Judging is a very important part of survival, so it just becomes part of the human experience. People need to learn to accurately assess their environment and the people in it in order to know how to act/react appropriately. We're subconsciously assessing everything we see, constantly, and it's important to be able to pick up on things that could add to our information about a situation.
