Not a lot of information being released by US on Volcano Bay yet. It would be nice if they got out opening date estimate and ticketing information so families can plan vacations for early summer. We are AP holders and have received no information concerning Volcano Bay. You would think they would have released this by now.

Yup. The three park pass that has been for sale in the UK for quite a while, has always stated June 1.

I hope they will sell single tickets for Volcano Bay? I just want to go there my next trip; not to the other parks.

I am in the same boat. Going in the fall so hopefully they will release some by then

SO HAPPY! I will be in Orlando May 24th, and Universal May 29th. We REALLY wanted to do Volcano Bay!

on some past threads it was reported that UT had some multiday passes that expired March 31 this year.
makes me think that a new system of passes/tickets would be announced prior to end of March.
probably for restructuring the pass system and Volcano Bay inclusions.

just a guess, i have no official word on new changes.

We are planing a trip for October and I am debating on just getting annual passes for me and my DH and getting a 3 park 4 day ticket for my son (he has Autism and will never stand still for a picture for the pass..UGH!). Anywhoo, I noticed that the current AP rates don't include the 3 park option for Volcano Bay as you all mentioned. Would you all suggest just booking the room by itself and waiting on buying the tix? It looks like it is pretty much the same price whether I do the vacation package that includes them or I do it separately on my own. I like the convenience of the package but if I can get AP's to use a couple more times for not much more $$ I'd love to do that. What are the chaces of the daily ticket prices going up while I'm waiting for the AP prices to be released? Thanks!

UO has not released the ap set up cost and info yet that would include the third park.
they will have it up soon i am guessing.

i did read on another website that premier and preferred pass holders would have the third park included in their pass.

other than that, i 'm in the dark with the rest of you.

Right now based on some other posts I read (these boards are so awesome) I'm thinking about just booking the package and upgrading to the ap when we get there. How complicated is the process?

You wouldn't be getting an annual pass discount on the room if you booked a package.

Oooo, where did you read that about the premier and preferred APs? That would be great for us. That's really the only viable one for us, since we usually go when school is out and at busy times. Luckily, we still have a lot of time until Memorial Day weekend to get it figured out. I need to renew my AP in March. If I have to do an add on fee later for the water park, I would be fine with that.

IIRC when we upgraded from the UT Tickets to the pass, they never asked us to take a photo. It's just your fingerprint, so no worries there. The express pass machine takes a picture but there's no way to tell it actually looks like you. The webcams they use at the resorts look like they're straight outta 2002. Not sure if it's better in the park.

The photo ap is long gone
Aps are now color coded cards

I still use my photo ap pass and did not do the exchange to the current version being used

We weren't able to get an ap rate for the room. It said no rooms were available.

They're not released for October yet. However, October dates fill up quickly so I wouldn't be waiting around for them. But if you buy a package, you won't be able to alter your rate if AP rates do come out.
