Large Party at Cinderellas Royal Table

I asked this six months ago when I had to make the reservation but now that I leave tomorrow I thought I would check back and see if anyone has any recent experience. We are a party of 9 but one is an infant. I of course included him in the reseveration but that meant I couldn't get a table for 9 so I had to split it. I did one for 6 and one for 3 at 8:20 am. I spoke with someone over the phone about adding a note to our reservations but she said she couldn't and suggested I just go to the restaraunt the day before and let them know. That's no problem, I will be at MK anyways but I was just curious if anyone has had any success with having a large party sit together? It's myself and hubby and my sister, her hubby, and her 5 kids so if we split up either she wouldn't be able to see one/some of her kids meeting the princesses or my hubby and I couldn't see our nieces and nephews. I'm hopeful that with an 8:20 reservation it's early enough in the day that they can make sure they seat the earlier reseverations in a way that would allow two tables to be used together for us. Thanks for any insight anyone might have!

I wouldn't bother. The check-in desk won't do anything for you the day before. They won't talk to people more than 10 minutes before an ADR.

When we were there, they were telling people checking in 15 minutes early to come back in 15 minutes.

We went with 9 people (the day after our wedding - with our wedding party) and requested a table together but were split up. They were able to put us right next to each other. This was a few years ago but I do not remember there being any large tables.

Great. I guess I will just have to cross my fingers that they see two reservations at the exact same time under the same name and know to put us next to each other. It stinks because if I didn't have to include the baby I could have got a reservation for 8.

I would be okay with being next to each other. I didn't think there would be any large tables. Did you just ask when you checked in?

I think you are worrying over nothing. There are tables that are lined on two sides of CRT and the staff will sometimes just punch them together for a larger party. Had you not included the baby, you would still be in the same boat... a party of nine, so having the adr for 8 woudl mean nothing at teh time you were seated, becuase the staff woudl make room for the baby. This is not a restaurant with any extra space, it is CROWDED, table on table on table.

I would also point out that no matter how you make your ADR you always run the risk of being separated at teh time you are seated. It has happened to us several times, so be prepared fr this in teh event you made your ADR for 9 and then find that you are seated at two different tables.

Okay thanks for the info! I've never been in CRT but have seen pictures and it looks packed. I don't expect us to all sit at one big table or anything but as long as we aren't on the opposite sides of the restaurant.

You may be. It would be unusual, but that would really have nothing to do with the two separate ADR's but with dynamics within the restaurant at the time you arrive. Go expecting teh best, tell teh CM who checks you in that you are really one party traveling together and ask if they can keep you together. They will if at all possible.

We were there in 2015 for lunch and had a party of 9. We had two reservations for the same time - one for a table of 5 and one of 4.
We all checked in together and were sat right next to each other. I was under the impression from the Cast Member that took my reservation for this that the two were linked somehow but maybe I was mistaken.

As long as you mention to your request to the CM at the podium, I wouldn't worry about it. For dinner, you'd be rolling the dice on it, but you'll be one of the first parties seated at that time of morning, so the restaurant shouldn't be full yet. We had reservations for that exact time in October and it was only half full when we were seated (completely full by the time we left).

With an 8:20am reservation, get to the park by 7:30 and check in on the ADR line so you're at the front of the ADR pack. When you get to the podium you should be early enough that it won't be a problem to be next to each other.

3) There would not be enough aisle space for SERVERS and characters to move around.
4) Your group will just have to be on guard for princesses and jump up when they approach the kiddies.

Thank you for sharing your experience! Ours is split up 6/3 as well and it isn't the very first reservation of the day but I'm hopeful the restaurant won't be full at 8:20.

I appreciate the answers/advice everyone! I was never expecting that we would get to sit together but I feel a bit more hopeful hearing a few first hand experiences with parties of 9. I will report back after Wednesday in case this thread is found by anyone in my predicament in the future.

For the tables along the wall, they have always been pushed together for us. We were party of 9 and a party of 12. The first time my niece and nephew were not on our ADR and I could not add them. They went to the podium before we arrived that day and somehow got an ADR for 2. When we all checked in for lunch the cast had a long row of tables with 5 on each side and my DH and my nephew were both at each end. The tables in the middle of the restaurant would not be able to accomodate large parties IMO, but the perimeter is different.

I know when I made ressies granted not same places for 14. most places we were close but not always at same table. I would go to resort desk when you first arrive and see if you can combine into 1 ressie even if it is separate tables as that would make it more likely to be seated close than completely separate ressies. again I would try at resort not restaurant

Thought I would check back and report my experience. We got to sit together!! Like someone else said it was pretty empty when we got there at 8:20 but completely packed when we left at about 9:10. They didn't push a table together but we got tables right next to each other. If you have a big party I would suggest the earliest reservation possible.
