Need new sandal suggestions...

I always wear teva flip flops or nike running. I am looking for a sandal with a little more support then flip flops. I have average width feet.

Thanks in advance

My favorite sandals by far are Chacos. VERY good support, and they last forever. Chacos will even repair them for you if they wear out or break.
these interest me but im not sure about the toe part, it doesn't bother you?

Speaking for my wife and I, we have a love/hate relationship with Chacos. Had friends that swore by them so we jumped on board. HATED them at first, thought it was the biggest waste of money.

However we stuck with them and continued to make adjustments to the straps a bit here/there. We FINALLY got them dialed in to where we could actually use them comfortably. I found it VERY difficult and was annoyed it took so long (it's a sandal!), but through a combination of adjusting the straps and breaking in, they are keepers for us.

Still not my favorite sandal but for times like Disney where we prefer something with a little more support than a basic sandal, it's a good choice.

If you're generally comfortable in flip flops then I recommend the Vionics/Orthaheel flip flops. They're pricey for flip flops, but they have arch support. I pretty much wear them all the time including when I'm doing heavy walking.

I agree. I alternated between two pairs of their sandals the entire time we were at Disney and Universal for the wine & dine half in November. I have these in white http://www.vionicshoes.com/women/sandals/lizbeth-t-strap-sandal.html and another pair that are a similar style in a tan suede that I got from QVC.

I've seen these on Zulilly once in awhile and Zappos and Nordstrom sell them. I know Nordstrom has the flip flops in store and DSW did last summer if you want to try them on.

I will say I have done some long days and a lot of walking in the above sandals and love their flip flops because they actually have a high arch support, but I can't recommend their flats. I ordered a pair thinking they would have the same high arch that the sandals do and they don't. For one, it's a removable arch support and it's nowhere near as high as the sandals. I'm still trying to figure out shoes for work.

The tide 2 is the basic style and does great for walking, I also use those for the pool.

They also make other flip flop styles that are fancier lol. They wear the same but you could also wear them to dinner.

If you're looking for strictly walking then the Tide 2 is great because the straps are nice and thick and don't rub at all when doing long distances.

Teva or Merrell sports sandals. More supportive sole than a flipflop plus the ankle strap adds to the support.
That's all I wear at WDW since being cured of plantar fasciitis.

I love my Sanuk Yoga Slings. They are definitely an either you love them or hate them sandal though. I have high arches but I often find that sandals with good arch support fit me strange, where the arch support hits my foot in an odd place and doesn't line up well with me arches, actually causing me pain. The yoga mat conforms to my feet in such a way that I get that custom fit that I need. I also borrowed my mom's Keens for our last trip and really liked them.

No - the toe part doesn't bother me at all, and I have the ones with the multiple straps that go around your big toe. My DH has Chacos with no toe strap, though, and he really likes those as well.

My coworkers and I are very happy with Oofos sandals. They're very comfortable and have great arch support. They also feel great after a long day of being on my feet at work. They may not be the most stylish sandals out, but they're very comfortable.

I switch to the brand Clarks when I was a college librarian and my feet were hurting from standing all day teaching. I have a high arch and narrow heel. I can't even get Borns on my feet because of my high arch. A lot of my friends swear by Keens.

I have a pair of Teva Tirra sandals that I absolutely love. I bought them because they had the highest avg customer reviews on multiple different websites when I was shopping online. They are one of the few shoes I can wear all day at the parks and are actually better than most of my tennis shoes. I wear them on days when I know my feet will get wet, and I have never had a blister or issue of any kind with them.
