Messed up - Need advice on MVMCP and extra FP+

I have an upcoming trip in December and from what I think I understand about FP+ with my Park Hopper tickets I was going to setup a second MDE account to link my MVMCP tickets to so I could use the 3 FP+ between 4-7 and also use my normal 3 FP+ before 4 (I plan to be in the park before 4 using our regular Hopper ticket for that day).

However I forgot about this and purchased the MVMCP tickets the other day. So I have a couple questions.

1. Are those MVMCP tickets now automatically linked to my MDE account?
2. Since I have not yet purchased my PH tickets is my best bet to create a new MDE account and when I get my PH tickets associate those to the new MDE and what I will also associate my MBs to when I buy them (since we are staying at Swan)?
3. Any downsides to not having the MBs or PH tickets associated with my original MDE account (which at this point I guess will only have my ADRs and my MVMCP tickets)?

Thanks for any advice.

1. Check your MDE account and see where your Party tickets are linked. If they haven't been linked to anyone, add Family #2 to your Family list: you#2, Mom#2, kid#2 etc. and link the party tickets to them.

2. Buy your PHs and link them to the "real" family members.

Then you'll be set for your FPs - you must use the hard plastic tickets to enter the Party and FP lines.

The tickets have been linked to me and wife and kids. If I create me#2, Mom#2, etc. can I reassign? Or can I just create family#2 and purchase PH and MBs and link those to family #2? It sounds like you don't need 2 MDE accounts just 2 families under the one MDE account?

I believe you can re-assign the party tickets. So if you set up the other MDE accounts and then link those accounts to your original ones via friends and family, you should be good to go. Did you opt for the party tickets to be mailed to you?

Reassigning means Family #2 would need MBs or new plastic cards from Guest Relations to enter the Party and FP lines. Your original hard plastic tickets remain where they originally are linked.

Family #2 would not have MBs for the PHs if you linked the PHs to them and left Party Tickets with real people.

Instead, you can choose to EDIT names. Real people become Family #2 names.

Add "real people" back into your Family Friends list. MagicBands will be linked to these people because they are on the room reservation. Link your PHs here.

Maybe I am misunderstanding but since I am at the Swan and we don't get MBs (like being offsite) unless I choose to purchase them (and I have not yet) I was thinking when I purchase them and link them I could link them to whoever I wanted (family #2?) along with my PH. If I am wrong please correct me. Because I don't want this to affect my ability to get the FP 60 day booking window and it does not look like I can modify who is linked to the room reservation.

Thanks for all the help on this.

Also to missrose's question I did go with the mail option and have not received them yet.

Yes, I didn't realize you will be at Swan - I don't see Signatures when on my phone.

The only problem is the "real people" are on the room reservation and they are the ones with the 60-day window. Fake people don't have a 60-day window.

You really should EDIT names to match up Room Occupants with PHs.

Ok hopefully I am getting closer to understanding. Sorry if I am thick headed but I want to make sure I get this right.
I just tried to edit wife name to be wife#2. Then I added a new wife with wife #1 name. When I look in MDE I see that the MVMCP ticket is linked to Wife#2 (originally wife#1) which is good but when I click on view resort information detail it also shows wife#2. I don't see a way to link the resort to wife #1 (new family member) as opposed to wife #2 (originally wife #1). Like the resort link is not fooled by the name change and it follows the wife that was in the system when the resort reservation was added.

Does the Swan have names listed in the Reservation Confirmation or is it just a generic reservation for your complete party?

Not too many Swan people post about MDE and Party Tickets so it's difficult to figure out what you need to do.

It may just be better to delete Wife #2 now and begin a completely new MDE #2 with whoever you want in it.

***MDE #2 won't have a 60-day window.

Easier to take the loss of additional FPs and stick with MDE #1.

Swan does have names shown as Travel Party. Definitely agree that loss of additional FPs is better than losing 60 day window.

My only remaing question is on the re-assign of MVMCP. Just to experiment I tried the re-assign option shown in MDE and was successfully able to re-assign one of the tickets from wife #2 (originally #1) to wife #1 (new family member). Were you saying that even though I can do that online the hard ticket will still not be correct or would that work for me since we did not yet have MBs or PHs? Thanks so much

Correct - the hard plastic card is like a MB and is permanently stuck to its first linkage.

If you are planning to use the plastic card for Party entrance, the entitlement that you just moved needs to be moved back because the plastic card is now empty of any entitlements.

Sorry to hijack, but we've never done any parties before and are thinking of MVMCP in Nov. So if I create a new MDE and link party tickets to it, when will the FP+ window open? We have a onsite resv. booked with PH tix already linked. Also if we do this, we must get the plastic tix mailed in order to use the FP+ right? If we are already in the park before 7pm, under that scenario, we would need to re-enter with the party tix to use the FP?
Sorry just trying to understand! :confused3

Thanks so much for all your feedback. I will move that back and re-edit all names back to original and just deal with the lack of 3 extra FP+. Hopefully the early Dec time makes it not that big a deal.

So I just looked and I didn't actually do hard tickets. Looks like I did e-tickets. I have an email with tickets that I can print out. Does that change things? Maybe I can do the whole re-assign thing to Family #2 and then when I get my MBs and PHs link them to family #1 that is on the hotel ressie so still have the 60 day window? Sorry for the confusion.

You're welcome! It wouldn't be difficult except for the 60-day window.

@subtchr may be able to help because she stays at Swan/Dolphin and may know if the 60-day window opens up for anyone in the Family-Friends list.

With e-tickets, you can enter the parks with the paper e-ticket but you won't have access to FP lines.

You can reassign e-tickets and the paper provides the link to the entitlement. You still won't have FP access.

You can add on Family #2 and link the party tickets to them in your MDE - no need for another MDE account.

You will only have a 30-day window. Book and use your FPs for any time of day because you'll be in the park well before the party begins.

Sometime before 7:00p, head to Tomorrowland or Frontierland and pick up your Party Wristband. You do not need to go to the entrance.
