I forget where are you staying this trip? We are doing a Poly/AKL split stay which I see you are doing in 3 months but reverse.

Yes in Jan. DH & I are 3 nights at AKL & 2 at the Poly-first time at both resorts! Very excited. For November we're back at the BWV which (so far) is our favorite resort.
Have you stayed at either AKL or the Poly before?

So far I haven't seen any changes in hours, but my fingers are still crossed. As far as I know they didn't adjust November hours at all yet.

Could be. I like being in the FB groups but the majority of people who join those groups don't really know as much as those of us here LOL not that there's anything wrong with that!!

No we have never stayed at either and can't wait! We have eaten breakfast at Kona Cafe and have had a breakfast and dinner at Boma so we have visited both resorts a few times.

Same with us, we've eaten at 'Ohana, Kona, Boma and Sanaa. Never really thought we'd stay at the Poly and DH actually has no desire to stay at AKL so that one took some persuading lol. He feels it's too far out.......since we don't have the kids for that trip, I told him it'd be a good time to try that resort. Easier for us to get ready and out the door in the morning, we'll be spending a little less time in the parks, just easier overall to move around with just the 2 of us so not such a big deal, in his eyes, to be "farther away". I'm not concerned though but I told him whatever I though would work to get him to agree to a few nights there! I hope you love both places!

We have always wanted to stay at both. Our last trip a few years ago was our first time doing a split stay. We get a rental car because we usually take a day or 2 every trip to do offsite attractions so we did not have to worry about bell services moving our luggage. We don't have kids so having to move to another resort in the middle of the trip and live out of our suitcases worked out fine. Have you done a split stay before?

My kids have known that all along that we are leaving on 10/30 but they didn't know that my brother, his wife and their DD are coming with us until tonight! My niece also had no idea they were going back this year (her first time ever was 2 days at MK in Feb. when they were in Orlando with other family). We were all together for my mom's birthday this evening when my brother had DD(7) read a letter saying "I can't wait to go to Disney World with S" and she just starting screaming and then niece(6) had a delayed reaction and when it hit her she just went crazy! It was so cute!! Now I can't wait to get there! Magic Bands should be here Wednesday I know it's only Sunday but I like the idea of saying I leave 3 weeks from next Friday Makes it sound much closer!!

We've done one split stay, POFQ to AoA. Went very smooth; gave our bags to bell services at FQ around 9:30 a.m. and headed to DTD. Left there and got to AoA about 6-6:30, checked in, went to our room and bags arrived 20 minutes later. They told us when we checked in that we had to be in our room when bags came, which is generally what I read here regarding checking in to your 2nd resort when doing a split stay. However occasionally I see reports of people whose bags were in their 2nd room when they arrived, so not quite sure about that anymore. Guess we'll both see! We were only at AoA for 3 nights after a week at FQ so we basically lived out of suitcases, also. It wasn't bad with the kids but for the shorter stay we're doing in Jan., not sure I'd want to do that with all 4 of us. Like you said though, for 2 it's really fine

We stayed at POFQ 4 years ago but we were there our whole trip which was our first Thanksgiving Week trip. We really liked it.
