Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

I do check quite frequently, the page is always up on my laptop just waiting for me to hit refresh :goodvibes. Maybe some of the rooms they held will open up if people don't book them :thumbsup2 I wish it didn't take so long for the disney site to re-log me in every time! Who knows, maybe it will come up. But the Poly is second best, with the direct Epcot monorail access. We've never stayed in a studio there, so I'm kind of excited to try something a little bit new.
The studio bathrooms are nice looking. We stayed in a 2br at VGF and the kids room had that same bath set up and we all loved it!

Walking to TCC should be easy for you to do. I have stayed at Poly many times and its my fav.

We just have a class that starts at 7:30 am until 5pm at BWI and I don't want to try to get there on time so i wanted to stay where class was being held. Then i couldn't find a room for when dh comes. He wants boardwalk area even tho we are mono people. I can't wait to try BC cl too! I don't mind moving if i am going to be pampered :)

We just booked AKL Club Level for Dec. Can someone point me in the direction to find out what evening offerings they have? I looked at the information on first page but nothing was mentioned about offerings. Just wondering what they serve.

I haven't stayed there in over a year, so I'm no help with a recent menu. I recommend contacting someone who has a trip coming up before you and see if they'll let you know. There's a guest list on page 1. But remember menus can vary and there's never a guarantee of what they'll serve.

Thank you. I will do that. I am looking forward to it.

Just wanted to drop in and say we are one week away from our GF-CL Sugarloaf stay. I'm excited! I'm trying not to have too high of expectations but I sure hope it is a nice stay. Any recs for room/view requests? I haven't made any so far. I'm excited to try out the texting service for FP reservations too. Do they text you back availability once you ask or do you have to request specific rides, etc.?
I prefer marina view too! I know you must be excited because I'm so excited, I can hardly stand it!! We fly in next Tuesday night!! Maybe we'll see you at the pool:) They put a lot of sunshine back in the weather forecast-yay!! FYI, I've always had wonderful trips to both GF SL and RPC so I think you will be very pleased:-)

Ouch!
Funny I currently have stays at those very hotels booked :)
GF- TODAY. Super excited!
BWI- November, adults only weekend.
Poly- family trip before kiddo turns 3 in May.
Great minds think alike!

What fun trips you have planned! Hope you had a great stay at the GF :goodvibes.

So excited, I have booked 2 rooms BC CL for next August. We have never done CL before. I am taking my daughters family and my son's. We set up the two rooms on the BB last month.

Congrats on the BB! Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

Just back from AKL CL and I am still mulling over how wonderful the vacation was!!
Love AKL and ESPECIALLY love CL. Thanks to this stay I will ALWAYS want to stay CL. Special thanks go to CL staff: Mike, Sam, Teani, Karen and Alissa. Everyone was wonderful but these people were the reason that everything went so well
1. Food was wonderful in the lounge. Dietary requests were met (I had PLAIN yogurt available every AM) and was able to give my grandkids a good breakfast every morning.
2. Fastpass+ was great and we were able to get 4th FPs with no issues by just asking.
3.Room was a little hike from the lounge but good exercise.
4. Thought bus service was inadequate; this is our only source of transport anywhere and thought that busses took too long both coming and going.
5. Underwhelmed by housekeeping: no towel animals, no room freshening at turndown (we took showers before dinner and our towels/ bath mats were seldom replaced). Perfectly adequate but just OK.
6. The staff were wonderful to all kids; my grandkids loved all the activities that gave them a bead.Great education with a nice reward.
7. Would I return? ONLY for CL!!!
Thanks to you all for your help in planning!!

Glad you had a great time and enjoyed AKL CL :).

Sorry about the housekeeping - I keep reading complaints about it at every level of WDW hotel and it's just sad. Oh, and they stopped the towel animals everywhere, so housekeeping isn't allowed to leave them.

Unfortunately, I read a lot of complaints as well. There are still some positive reports, but more so negative anymore :(.

We are now officially club level at the yacht club for marathon weekend 1/5-1/11/15!

Congrats, hope you have a great trip! :goodvibes

Happy news! 2016 will be extra special for DH and me, we're going to visit twice. :cloud9:

April 16-21, 2016 Yacht Club CL
Oct 20-31, 2016 Boardwalk CL

How exciting, hope you and your DH have great trips :wizard:.

I am pretty sure I have read that you have access to club lounge, resort pools, etc all day on the day of checkout but wanted to confirm. We don't need to leave for the airport until around 7:30pm. Thanks

Yes, you have access to all resort amenities until midnight of your check out day, including the CL lounge for CL guests :).

So this will be our first CL stay ever (and our first deluxe stay for that matter). I read the beginning of this thread but want to know if there is anything I should take advantage of being staying CL. We will be on the regular dining plan have our ADRs booked already and we are there during marathon weekend. Any tips for a first timer?

Congrats on your first deluxe and CL stay. I never use IPO as I like booking everything myself, but they are also there should you have any questions/concerns, etc. prior to/during your trip ;).

February 3-6 Poly CL... First time Poly and first time CL. So excited! Add me to the list

How exciting! The Poly is amazing, you are going to love it :goodvibes.

Please add me to the list! We will be at the Poly TP CL from 2-23 thru 2-26-16 and then on to the BWI CL from 2-26-16 till 3-3-16. Thanks for all the help.

Hope you have a great time and enjoy the Poly :wizard:.

I'm so excited!! We arrive at at the Poly CL Wenesday! We're currently in Florida, staying at The Breakers. I'm so looking forward to our stay, but I admit we've been incredibly spoiled by our stay here. Housekeeping? Incredible. Nightly turndown? Better than I'd expected. Concierge and restaurant service? Impeccable. Granted, we're paying far more here than at Disney, but I'm worried after being so very well cared for here, Disney may be a bit disappointing. Can anyone reassure me? Please??

Hope you have a great time and enjoy CL at the Poly :).

I'm sure you will have a great time! SL views are either of the marina or courtyard, both of which are very nice, IMO. We had a marina view which I loved, but I think the courtyard view is just as nice :).

Just returned from 6 nights at Grand Floridian RPC! Trip report coming soon. This was my first "on property" stay and I'm hooked! A five star vacation all the way.

Glad you had a great first time on property. RPC is amazing! Can't wait to read your review :wizard:.

We just booked AKL Club Level for Dec. Can someone point me in the direction to find out what evening offerings they have? I looked at the information on first page but nothing was mentioned about offerings. Just wondering what they serve.

I can't help with the food offerings, but wanted to say I hope you have a great trip and enjoy AKL CL :).

Hi,

I will be at the CL ( Old Faithful Club) at WL from Nov 28th to Dec 3rd 2015

Hope you have a great trip! WL CL is amazing and is one of our favorites, especially during the holidays :santa:.

DGF and I had a great trip this past week to The Grand Floridian. This was my first time staying on property - previously I've stayed at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort in Lake Buena Vista. Since this was my first time staying "in the world," I decided to go all out and spring for a Royal Palm Club room in the main building.

I booked a main building - standard room type, but was upgraded upon check-in to a deluxe king room with a theme park view. This was really a magical moment, a big thanks to Sophie at the front desk! Shortly after I checked in at the front desk, a RPC concierge greeted me by name in the main lobby, and took us upstairs. We had a few snacks while the concierge briefed us on RPC amenities, Resort activities and dining options.

We were assigned room 4208, on the Clarendon Level, located directly above Gasparilla Island Grill. The RPC concierge referred to this as a "hidden level," and admittedly I was a bit confused when reading "2nd floor" on our room assignment text. I wasn't aware of the Clarendon level prior to our stay.

Having visited The Grand Floridian on prior trips to Disney, I was well aware of the lobby culture attached to this hotel. I am a musician by trade, so naturally, the lobby pianist and society orchestra really make this resort one of my all-time favorites. In my research of Disney's various concierge experiences, I found RPC to be the most appealing, and thus, most worth the extra expense. DGF and I enjoyed waking up to the beautiful breakfast spread each morning (especially the Citrus Muffins,) and returning in the evenings for delicious hors d'oeuvres. Our most favorite amenity, and possibly a new tradition of ours, was sneaking back to our room with Champagne and a plate of Strawberry Uncrustables to watch the fireworks. The RPC lounge is made extra special because of it's vantage point to the lobby and all that goes on there. Having experienced it for a week, I would argue that RPC was entirely worth the extra expense.

We have already booked RPC for September 2016 - this time I'm hoping to get an "octagon," as I've advance reserved a deluxe room. Now that we've spoiled ourselves with a Grand Floridian CL experience, we can't imagine anything else. I'm so excited to return to RPC!

Additionally -

I can't speak any higher of the cast members and concierge team at GF RPC. They went above and beyond for us on multiple occasions. One cast member stopped what he was doing to get us a plate of Uncrustables after the afternoon snacks had been taken away. Also, when our MagicBands failed to activate, an RPC concierge got us replacements in our original colors (Green and Pink.) These small touches really helped make our stay at GF RPC magical.

Just returned from a fantastic stay at Old Faithful club at WL. ME dropped us first that morning around 11am and we were greeted by a person with an ipad out front.
They asked for my last name and promptly escorted us to the 7th floor. A gentleman by the name of Mike took really good care of us and advised that we had 2 options regarding our room.
We were told we could get what I had requested (north wing, woods view) but it was not ready yet. Or we can take a courtyard that was ready now. we choose to wait and we received the text around 12:30pm.

We loved the room and the view it provided. We did not mind the smaller dormer balcony and it did a great job of keeping the rain out. We had good views of CR, BLT, SM, Main Street train station and the top of the castle.
Fireworks from the balcony were great but I could not find the channel on the tv for the sound.

Speaking of the tv, we had a bit of an issue with the channel that displays all park info and hours with the nice music playing in the background. Channel 2 I think. That channel would randomly cut on and off stating a lack of signal.

The lounge offerings were wonderful and the staff was fantastic. They always were available for anything that we needed and always welcomed us back when we would show up after a late day.

I'll try to post some pictures up later if I can.

Thanks for your review, glad you had a great time. The GF is great in itself, but RPC is just amazing! Enjoy the planning for your next RPC stay :wizard:.

ITA....the GF/RPC CMs are some of the best :thumbsup2.

We just booked AKL Club Level for Dec. Can someone point me in the direction to find out what evening offerings they have? I looked at the information on first page but nothing was mentioned about offerings. Just wondering what they serve.

If you like Boma and Jiko then you will like the food offerings. I'll be there next weekend so I'll be sure to get some pics. We haven't stayed since they brought in the chef so I think it will be interesting to see how that goes. Erika- you still dont have any pics of the chef...correct?

I've been meaning to give you all a review of the business class at CSR. I think calling it club level light is perfect. The biggest difference is that theres no IPO. So if you like CL for the planning services CSR BC is not for you. However if you like a continental breakfast in the morning and some apps with a nice glass of wine or Sangria before dinner and a giant cookie the size of your DS2 head with some coffee from a Nespresso machine before bed then you would like it. Some major differences in the food options are there's nothing hot -besides toasting a bagel or putting hot water in oatmeal. No cordials at night and its not open all day. Its from 7-10am and then 5-10pm. Also as mentioned before no IPO, so no separate check in. You do get a great room location, by far the best at CSR. In the morning there was always juice, milk, coffee and nespresso, bagels, packets of oatmeal, lots of fresh fruit(whole and cut up), cups of yogurt as well as their own mango yogurt, cereal and a rotating pastry (muffins, cinnamon rolls, sweet danish).
At night they had 3 kinds of chips (tortilla, ruffles and veggie), antipasto types of meats and marinated veggies, cheese, some type of bread (pita, focaccia) dips (salsa, hummus and the best ever caramelized leek and onion dip). After 7, they leave the chips and put out giant cookies. To drink they had sodas, beer (bud light, yuengling and corona) red and white wine as well as sangria. I was also informed that they have soy milk and Gluten Free snacks on hand! The attendants kept everything very clean and well stocked and were always willing to help. Overall we really enjoyed it and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again when CL isn't in our budget but would still like a little pampering. I have lots of pics, just trying to figure out how to get them posted, it keeps saying- file too large. If you have any questions just let me know.

Sounds like a great trip! :) I'm curious about the turn down being missed. Did you tell someone? Did you see turn down ladies walking around to other rooms and just skipping yours? I know it's a bit unusual at AKL since CL rooms and non-CL rooms are all mixed together. That might have been the reason. We had some trouble with it last year too.
Sorry that it took me so long. Alays were out of the room for turndown (and we got chocolates every night!) just no replaced lined. mentioned once and got towels replaced the next day and then none after!!

Offerings varied every evening but always included cheese, breads, fruits, apples with caramel sauce.

Thank you for posting about your trip! One question -- you mentioned being able to easily get 4th FP's. Was this via texting service? I had not heard that AKL CL had that service for 4th FP. It was a great service, wasn't it?!
We always made it back for a short nap at approx 3 pm. Stopped at the lounge and was easily given our 4th FP+.
