~~ They're leaving the nest, sew it's time for a trip - or two - or three...~~ D~'s bag ~9/22 ~~

What about packing each outfit's accessories inside the bag that goes with the outfit, since (I think) each outfit is a different bag? Then pack the outfits together. Do you unpack at the hotel? Or just "live" out of the suitcase?

Sounds like you had fun in your sewing room yesterday. I can't wait to see what you made.
Looks like your run went well even if you forgot your Garmin.

I did, it was a lot of fun actually! ::yes::

And it did go well - it was kind of nice to run with out the Garmin... There are features about it that I like - like I can look down and see my pace very easily, but I also like how the Map My Run app maps things out - my Garmin does this too, but it's different and I have to hook it up to my computer to see any of this.

Hi D. If you're doing the Jeff Galloway 10k, the 3.5 miles is just running. The warm up and cool down aren't included in it.

Can't wait to see your bag!

Well - I am sort of doing JG, but not really - I am doing a combo of JG, HH and my own thing, but I am not doing the R/w/R method - I just run.... So, I am sort of following a program, but also doing my own thing. Did that make any sense? I am mostly using the program for what sort of activities I should be doing every day. But I kind of assumed the 3.5 miles was just the time I am running, not my warm up/cool down - So, I think I'd like to see my mileage be more like 4 miles, so then I am running 3.5 and warming up and cooling down for .25 each? :thumbsup2

I can't wait to post it! :woohoo:

I would pack each outfit minus the shared bottoms in a ziplock bag. This way you know it is done, air scuked out to make it smaller in the suitcase. Just don't forget to pack the bottoms.

This is what I am thinking.... I think I will lay each outfit out on my bed. Then I will pack it - I'll probably put the bottoms in with the first outfit I am planning to wear them with - or like you said - just put all of my bottoms into their own bag. :scratchin But each baggie will contain my shirt/jewelry/and maybe my head gear? I have to be careful how I pack the head gear so it doesn't get smushed.... I may have to keep the head gear separate though? ACK! This is difficult.... I usually don't have such a hard time packing in the summer - I throw a pile of short in and a pile of tank tops - which btw only take up a tiny corner of my suitcase.... I may be like Mo was on the way home from Suzi's this summer - wearing 3 jackets...

Your outfits are SO fabulous! I love them! Such a fun idea...I wear either character/Disney t-shirts or white shirts (I have a thing for white shirts...)...haven't gone all out yet but I really, really want to! So fun!

Thanks!!! I love dressing up! Hmmm... White shirts??? I have a hard time wearing white shirts - I always feel like they are see through. :scratchin I rarely wear them by themselves, usually just as a layering piece.

You should!!!! It's so much FUN!!! I love getting pictures back when we get home, because having the bit of character in there really makes them awesome- IMO. ::yes::

No, the running mileage doesn't include your warm up/cool down times. After every run I go to garminconnect.com and program my run for the next morning. It lets me set my warm up/cool down times (5 min of walking each), then I set the run segments in either time or distance. I am loving using my new Garmin!

Thank you! That's what I was thinking too, but I wasn't positive... I'd heard conflictions on this. ::yes::

Hmmm.... I am on Garminconnect, but I'll have to dig deeper to see if this is something that can be done - my forerunner (110) is a bit old, and it doesn't have all of the features of the newer ones. I might be asking Santa for an upgraded model for Christmas )no idea which one yet)- if running is something I stick with - but at this point, it doesn't look like I am quitting any time soon. :woohoo:

OMG your bags are so cool! I love your MVSCP bag...adorable - I am sure an AK one would be just as cute...wish I had your talent for crafty things!
Ugh....

Well if she doesn't mind...when I was in high school I got stressed about missing school. My dd is in grade 5 so I don't worry about it now...but who knows in a few years...

What a cool idea!!

I love all your outfits - you are so creative!!

Thank you! I do love my bags... But I am also very excited to have something new to carry too. ::yes:: After a while - the same ol' stuff gets a little boring.... I am even contemplating a new Donald bag.

Allison doesn't mind too much - she missed a LOT of school last year with mono, and she was still able to make the honor roll - but the difference between school now and when I went - much of their stuff is online, so even though she was home, it was fairly easy for her to stay caught up. And this year is a little different - all but 3 of her classes are electives. So, I am pretty sure it will be fine.

Thanks! I do try to follow a "template"... The first time I really dressed up in anything other than Disney tees was our 2012 trip... And I went waaaay over the top for that one, and once I got home and looked at the pictures - aside from being mortified that I was so over weight - I felt like I was just way too obnoxious... So then I toned it down and decided that I was going to go all out on my accessories (head gear, jewels, bags, sometimes shoes) and be very plain with my clothing choices... I feel like that model worked well for me, that way I am "themed" but not so much so that I look like I am 10. LOL Yet - I still get to have fun with the fun stuff and creating.... Or in most cases - ordering. LOL

I pack my girls outfits in Ziploc bags when we go to WDW. It just makes life easier to pack & know what they are gonna wear each day. I would pack the shared shorts/bottoms with the first outfit you plan to wear them with. Packing this way really does help save space! I was surprised just how well it worked For your bags I'd try those bigger space saving bags & see if they will save you some space too.

I am pretty sure this is what I am doing - I have ziplocs on my list to buy when I go to Target today. I still haven't figured out how the headgear is getting packed? :scratchin Even though I'd like to put it all into the bag with it's respective outfit - I am pretty sure it will have to go into it's usual box, so they don't get squished. I am thinking of doing the bottoms either that way - or in their own separate Ziploc... Because I am certain I will need the space in my suitcase. I am only planning one carry on and one checked bag - I hope. I could do two, because I am allowed 2 on my flight home (southwest) but I am not flying southwest on the way down, so I will have to pay for luggage that direction.

BFF owns a bazillion space bags - I may ask her if I can borrow one? :scratchin

My dog was the same way when she was little, but instead of floors it was chairs!!! She would eat the legs of the chais and people would always wonder why there were teeth marks.... When they are this age though, they are still technically teething - so they love to chew things 0 no matter what they are! I promise it gets better!

That's awesome! Yeah I know whenever I'm wearing anything white - I am always a little more cautious becuase a stain will show up so easily! Do you ever have to wash the bag - or are you so caring to it that it has just stayed that wonderful color of white?

Yeah by doing this it could save you some room.

How many suitcases are you bringing? Are you checking one? If so - maybe could you bring a small carry on suitcase to fit more of your things - and goodies you get from Disney??

YAY!!! That's awesome!

That's great when they are pretty easy as well!

Can't wait to see it either!

Enjoy it!

Eek on the chairs - and a little LOL... I can only imagine. Cooper ate more of my kitchen floor yesterday... So, sadly - for the next few weeks, he is going to have to be kenneled while I am here and working. I don't like doing that, but I can't trust him while I am not watching him.

I have not had to wash my Donald bag yet. Surprising - I know. But it's stayed perfect, and I've carried it several times now. I did stain guard it like crazy, and I do stain guard it again before each trip - there's probably so many layers of stain guard on it, that it can't get dirty. LOL

I am hoping for one crossbody bag and one carry on - on the plane... Hopefully my VB backpack. Then one checked bag. Hopefully. I am not really planning on many goodies for this trip... I want my 2015 Alex and Ani bracelet, a new VB Perfect Petals hipster (mine is destroyed, pretty much) and a new tee shirt/sweatshirt.... I'll be back again in January - so I don't really feel like I should be spending much $$ this trip.

I am very, very, very excited to share my new outfit and bag... but I want to get it all together first - and here. LOL So, soon I will share.

your going to be sweating your caboose off with those sweatshirts! and like me and the plane home they are HEAVY! LOL!!

can't wait to SEE YOU GUYS!!!

Hehehehe.... Well, I will have them with - just in case.

Safe flight today!!! Love you!

What about packing each outfit's accessories inside the bag that goes with the outfit, since (I think) each outfit is a different bag? Then pack the outfits together. Do you unpack at the hotel? Or just "live" out of the suitcase?

That's what I am thinking... Except for my head gear... I am still not sure how that is getting packed? I do not (normally) unpack at the hotel, I usually live out of my suitcase. So, I am thinking the baggie idea is a good one... I just don't know if the gallon size will be big enough - I might have to get the next size up too? :scratchin

*********************************************************************************************

I had a really nice day yesterday....

I worked out in the morning.

Then I was upstairs working all day. I finished my new bag in record time... Then I made a HUGE dent in my side projects too. I was finished with everything I needed to get done by 2pm. So, that was nice.

I went out to get the mail, and just as I was walking in, one of my elderly neighbors drove by in his golf cart... So, him and I went for a ride - up to the cemetery to visit his wife who passed last winter, and then around town. I stood out there and talked to him for a good hour - it was nice. He is pretty lonely these days and doesn't get out much. I need to make more of a point of visiting him - all of his children live in town, so it's not as if no one visits- they are over all the time, but still - I hadn't seen him all summer and it was nice to catch up.

We all had dinner together as a family last night - which is pretty rare these days.

Then Josh had a Pheasants Forever meeting, so I went back upstairs to work for a while. On something for myself again. :scratchin Not sure what I am going to do with it though? LOL

I went to bed before he got home, I was so tired!

Today - it's a Target day - but a short one. Eeep... So excited to only have a 4 hour shift! :woohoo: I haven't had one of those in years!

It's also a heavy lifting day for me. And a running day - which I hope to go out as soon as I get home from work this afternoon.

Then I'll probably be lazy tonight... Unless I get a wild hair to start that Goofy bag? I am starting to get a little restless as the days are VERY small until our November trip...

OK - so my list:

1) Zip locs... 2 sizes - gallon and one bigger
2) Gray tee shirt
3) White tee shirt
4) Orange tee shirt - maybe.

What to make yet:
1) Goofy bag
2) Coordinating MB cover for my newest bag
3) Goofy MB cover

I think that's all for this trip? :scratchin

I did order some accessories off of Etsy yesterday... I am working with someone who I have high hopes to replace Jennifer - I know there really is no replacement for her, but I have to find someone who can make head gear for me... I have so many ideas and not enough time - or $$. LOL

Once all of my gear gets here - I will post pictures of my newest outfits. :woohoo: I am VERY excited about them. I haven't been this excited in a LONG time! LOL

I am still debating on getting coordinating jewels from Erin for this newest outfit... Part of me says I don't need them... but the other part of me says I will want them eventually - then I will have to find them from someone else. The accessories are adding up, cost wise... There are others who make jewels like her - and I DO have a necklace I *could* wear that matches already. What would you do? I am really leaning towards making due with what I already have.

OK - I better get a move on... I have a lot to do this morning before I leave for work.

I hope you all have a great day!!! Prayers and Pixie Dust to all of you! :grouphug:

D~

How nice that you got everything done in your sewing room by 2pm.
How nice of you to go to the cemetery with your elderly neighbors. I visited a few cemeteries when I was in the USA. And one thing that surprised me was that it's normal to drive your car into the cemetery. We don't do that in Norway.

I hope your day at Target goes well.

They say there is a storm coming here tonight. It's pretty windy outside already, but I don't think the storm is going to be bad around Tromsø. I think it will be worse further out.

You said you had some questions about Tromsø and the things you red in the book I gave you. I can't wait to hear those questions :)

I would probably make due with the current accessories since you bought new headgear that we can't wait to see. You will add your accessories for the January trip.

LOVE the Donald bag!!! WOW, what a rate you got on that room! I wouldn't worry too much about the finals for Allie. She's a good student and it will all work out.
YAY, for the November trip coming so soon!!! Oh the excitement of getting ready.
We have been getting ready for the baby reveal party. I have been busy traveling so trying to get things done have been impossible, but I do what I have to do.
Have a wonderful day!!!

Cooper ate more of my kitchen floor yesterday... So, sadly - for the next few weeks, he is going to have to be kenneled while I am here and working. I don't like doing that, but I can't trust him while I am not watching him.
I understand, you have a lot of work to do - and you don't want Cooper to make MORE work for you!

I have not had to wash my Donald bag yet. Surprising - I know. But it's stayed perfect, and I've carried it several times now. I did stain guard it like crazy,
That's great! I've never really used stain guard before - but that would be something I should definitely look into for future reference.

That's a good amount of bags. I pretty much always do the same thing when I go to Disney. I find I can fit everything comfortably and still have room when I'm coming home.

I am very, very, very excited to share my new outfit and bag... but I want to get it all together first - and here. LOL So, soon I will share.
Gotcha! i'll be here waiting...patiently! ;)

Well, could the jewels be good to have for future outfits and projects? If you think you could use some and save some - maybe get them. Also, if it's exactly what you want, you may not find something as great in the future.

All the outfit planning is making this trip so real. It will be here so quickly. Love the outfits, as usual.

Have a great day at Target.

Late to the party (as always) so it's taken me awhile to catch up. I'll try to summarize all of my comments.

1. Love all the puppy pictures and real life updates. Looks like you have a wonderful family and you should be very proud of all the progress you've made in your lifestyle change. It's a hard thing to do but it always gives me a little more motivation when I see someone succeeding at it.

2. You are a very creative person! I've just started taking up sewing after getting my first sewing machine last Christmas. I'm planning on making my costume(s) for MNSSHP & ComiCon next year. I may have to have you do a bag for me. :)

3. I've enjoyed reading all the trip plans. We've been planning our next trip for about a year and a half now. It's still exciting this far out but it'll get even more exciting as it gets closer.

4. I read all about your trip to Maine from Mo's TR. Looks like you guys had a blast!! Girls trips are so fun. :)

Okay, now I think I'm as caught up as I'm going to be. Looking forward to reading more.

You mean new jewels to match the newest bag?? Oooh, I don't know. I think the regular Mickey bling will look great with that. Really pop if you know what I mean ;)

Sigh - I just lost all of my replies and my keyboard is acting funky this morning.... Hmmmm... Now that Disboards errored out - my keyboard isn't acting as funky - maybe it's disboards and not me?

Let's try this again...

Hmmm.... It has since died 3 more times... So, I got smart and posted my post. Then I'll just keep editing until I have it all posted. LOL

How nice that you got everything done in your sewing room by 2pm.

You said you had some questions about Tromsø and the things you red in the book I gave you. I can't wait to hear those questions

Thanks!

Yes, here we are allowed to drive in cemeteries, but ONLY on the paths - it is VERY bad to drive off of a path in a cemetery. Unless you are driving a hearse with a person about to be buried - and even then, they try to stay on the paths as much as possible. I am not sure what it's like in other areas, but here, it's even bad to walk on a person's grave, and sometimes - trying to figure out where the actual grave is - I can never remember if people are buried in front of or behind their stones?

I hope the storm isn't too bad - you aren't getting snow already are you?

I do have to refresh my memory on the book... I do remember one of the questions though - your last name is mentioned a few times - so I was wondering if you were any relation to the people mentioned? I will glance over it again tonight to try and remember my other questions. It was a beautiful book though - excellently written and I truly enjoyed learning more about your beautiful city - the book definitely made me want to visit Norway some day. :thumbsup2

I hope you have a great day today Lillian. :)

I would probably make due with the current accessories since you bought new headgear that we can't wait to see. You will add your accessories for the January trip.

Yes - I think you are right, it's not as if I don't have another trip coming right up and it might be fun to be able to add a few things to my accessories to freshen up my outfits. :thumbsup2 And with my new headgear idea - it will be super easy to be able to add things and change them up - I cannot wait to share with you all! ::yes::

LOVE the Donald bag!!! WOW, what a rate you got on that room! I wouldn't worry too much about the finals for Allie. She's a good student and it will all work out.
YAY, for the November trip coming so soon!!! Oh the excitement of getting ready.
We have been getting ready for the baby reveal party. I have been busy traveling so trying to get things done have been impossible, but I do what I have to do.
Have a wonderful day!!!

Thanks you!!!

Yes - the price on that room cannot be beat - and I LOVE the bathrooms at SoG - they have HUGE mirrors which are separate from the toilet/tub - which will be nice when Allison and I are trying to get ready.

I hope so - I am a little nervous about it, more about her having to dread them on our trip. But you are right - she will do fine. :)

I am so excited for the November trip - it is closing in on us quickly!!! :woohoo: It's hard to believe it's almost here!

How exciting!!!! I am anxious to here what the new bundle will be!

You too - thanks!

I understand, you have a lot of work to do - and you don't want Cooper to make MORE work for you!

That's great! I've never really used stain guard before - but that would be something I should definitely look into for future reference.

Yes - I feel badly for Cooper to have to be kenneled for most of the day right now - but I just can't trust him. :( Hopefully he will outgrow this stage quickly. ::yes::

Yes - it's a spray... I also plan to spray down my white capris before we leave. I should really do that today - since it's a nice cool and sunny day - then they can hang outside to dry.

Yes - I think I am bringing 6 bags down with me? And they do take up a LOT of space... I'll try to get a picture of my bag pile soon - it's kind of insane. LOL I did buy 2.5 gallon zip-locs yesterday, so I can start on the organizing/sorting/packing process... I might do some of it this afternoon. ::yes::

It's hard for me to wait to post it all too - LOL I love sharing my outfits here!

Hmmm... Not really - I guess the jewels could go with other things, but for the most part - they fit best with this theme. I am really thinking I am going to wait to get the jewels until after this trip - I have enough new stuff (ahem, I've spent enough $$ this time around) that it will be nice to have something new to add on next time. :)

All the outfit planning is making this trip so real. It will be here so quickly. Love the outfits, as usual.

Have a great day at Target.

I know - it's crazy!!! This trip is really coming up quick now! :woohoo: And I love my outfit planning - so this is just my favorite time... It's also crunch time too - I am working doubly hard to pay off Allison's trip... I am hoping to have it paid off - or darn near, by the time I go in November... Otherwise I will be fretting the entire time I am there about it. And I want to be able to relax and enjoy that trip.

Thanks!!! I hope you have a great day too!

Late to the party (as always) so it's taken me awhile to catch up. I'll try to summarize all of my comments.

Okay, now I think I'm as caught up as I'm going to be. Looking forward to reading more.

WELCOME!!!! :woohoo: So happy to have you here!

Thanks for taking the time to catch up - I know this PTR has gotten a little lengthly.

Thanks! I do love my family - I think they are great, most of the time. LOL And my lifestyle has been an interesting and fun journey for sure... I am loving this new element of running that I've added to it - it's been a fun challenge for me.

Yes - trips are always so fun to plan, it seems like they will never get here, but the closer they get the faster they come... The hardest part is the trip being over. I had to fight the Disney-blues pretty bad after our last trip, and it was rough (and REAL)... but somehow, I got through that slump... Usually planning another trip helps. :thumbsup2

Oh - we did have a great time in Maine - I love those girls so much and I cannot WAIT to do Disney with them, a dream come true - truly!!! :lovestruc

Thanks for stopping by! Again, I am so happy to have you here!

You mean new jewels to match the newest bag?? Oooh, I don't know. I think the regular Mickey bling will look great with that. Really pop if you know what I mean

Hahaha... I was thinking of doing that too... I am just not sure? I'll have to see it all together to see what I think.

Love you Swoozi... It's getting so close - and it was great talking to you yesterday!!!

*************************************************************************

I am getting so frustrated with The Dis this morning - it keeps locking up, over and over again, even on the "edit" page. It's very frustrating, because I've lost my post countless times this morning... I am going to save it now after every paragraph, I think.

So, yesterday was a heavy lifting day for me in the morning - I had to cut it a little short, as I was running late.

I had a good day at Target... It was a short shift - which I loved! I wish I would get more of them. It was also "sit down with your team lead and open your availability for the holiday season" day. Usually - they aren't too happy, because I don't change my availability for the holidays - like they "strongly encourage" us to do. I did it once, about 3 or 4 years ago, then when the holidays were over, they wouldn't let me change it back to what it was before. Which was a crappy move on their part. So, I learned my lesson and I don't change it now. I love working for Target during the holidays - it's a fun and energetic time... but I don't always agree with how underhandedly they treat us, and how sneaky they become - especially with our Thanksgiving hours... They've done some pretty rotten things to us regarding that.

However - while at work yesterday, I was informed that Target is doing a new "healthy lifestyle" promotion type thing... They are giving a FREE Fitbit Zip to each and every employee... Or you can get 50% off of a Flex... Or 25% off of a Charge, Charge HR or Surge... I have not decided which one I want to do yet - but I do want to take advantage of this promotion. This also means that Allison gets one. We have a couple weeks to decide. So, if any of you has one of these - I would LOVE your opinion... Right now, I am leaning towards the Charge or the Charge HR.

On top of that... We are also getting an additional 20% off of all C9 apparel... With our employee discounts - and other discounts, that = 35% right off the bat... and I've been using a lot of C9 lately, so this is awesome!

I love that Target is doing this for us! :woohoo:

Speaking of healthy lifestyle... I went for a run yesterday after work...

First of all - I tried out my Sparkle Skirt for the first time... And I do have to say that I love it!!! It was great to have my legs out in the open air - I've never run in shorts before, because I fear chafing. These shorts did NOT ride up at all and my legs were well protected. I think the skirt is very flattering and comfortable. I would like to save up and get a few other colors before spring. I must pay off Allison's trip first. ::yes::

20150929_142511.jpg

Secondly - Yesterday was a BIG run day for me... It was time to tackle the BIG hill - not the BIG, BIG hill - but the one that leads up to It... I did take a picture - but it was at the base of the hill, so it doesn't look too bad... I will try to get one some day from further back - it is quite a large/steep hill.

20150929_150341.jpg

Overall - it was a fantastic run... and it added almost a mile on to my week day runs... Which is what was on the menu for this week. ::yes::

2015-09-29_15.41.40.jpg

Then I came home and relaxed all night. Allison was working. V was babysitting. So it was just Josh, Matt and I for dinner.

I slept like a baby last night - it was nice!

Today... It's Wednesday - my favorite day... It's my "easy" work out day of WATP and abs.

And it's also applique day - my favorite!

I will be in my sewing room all day, working away like a slave. Hehehehe....

I hope you all have an amazing day! And PHEW!!!! I finally got this post written - only had to come back to edit 4 million times. Have a great day all! :grouphug:

Oh Cooper! The kitchen floor? We're considering getting the kids a puppy since we now have the space, but reading things like this scares me, lol. Hopefully he outgrows it soon.

I'm so sorry you had trouble with the DIS today. I'm glad you were able to write your replies :)
I can understand that you don't want to change your schedule at Target during Christmas since they didn't change it back to what it used to be after Christmas the last time you offered to help out.

Yes I'm in relation to the people mentioned, but not directly. You see there were two brothers that came from Germany to Tromsø. The one mentioned in the book that started the brewery and his brother that was a merchant. The merchant is the one I'm directly in relation to. So event if I'm not in a direct straight line related to the brewery, I'm still a relative since the two men that came to Tromsø was brothers.

Today it's heavy rain (not compared to what you get in USA, but heavy in Norwegian eyes ;) ) outside. We still haven't got frost during the night. But the newspaper did write that if you are going up the mountains it could be wise to change to winter tires even if the date for change isn't until 15th October here in Northern Norway. From what I can see on the weather forecast they think it's going to be 33,8ºF on Sunday. That's pretty close to freezing point, but they are not predicting any temperature below freezing point the next 7 days yet.

Mr. Ariel484 and I both have FitBit Charges and we really like them. There's a clock on it (as opposed to the Flex, which doesn't have a clock) and you can hook it up to your phone so that it'll vibrate when you get a call and show who is calling you. We didn't look at the Charge HR because neither of us need a HR monitor.

Congrats on your SparkleSkirt, and welcome to the addiction! Is that ShockingRed? If so, word of warning - that one can suffer from color bleed, so try to soak it in water + vinegar to set the color and be careful the first few times you wash it.

Hi D~!

Just catching back up here. It's been a crazy busy past few months with work and racing. Now that racing is over, it is just work keeping me tied to the computer for too many hours a day. I am hoping it slows down a bit for me so I can work a normal day!

I loved seeing your run results! Great job on them! And how awesome are you to do two 5K runs so close together!!! My runs have not been so great lately. Work has gotten in the way and I only ran three times in the month of August. September started off the same way but I said to DH that my runs need to come before work or I am going to burn out. I am back on track this week and doing my normal schedule and I feel so much better. Now if only we could get two or three nice frosts overnight to kill off the ragweed, I will be able to breathe while running. Darn allergies! We have two, maybe three, 5K's coming up quickly this month. DH, DS and I are running the first one Oct. 11 to help support athletics at one of the smaller high schools in our area. Then we are heading to Pinery Provincial Park on the 18th to help support conservation efforts in the park. I am going to do the 5K, DH is going to try the 10K and DS isn't sure which one he wants to do yet. We haven't decided yet if we are going to do another one on the 31st. There are two different race events that day and we don't know which one to choose or if we will even want to do one. I think I'll wait to decide until after the 18th.

So we have been Fitbit users here for almost two years now. DH and I started with the Force trackers and absolutely loved them. The Force trackers were recalled mid 2014 and we ended up sending them back as part of the recall. I got DH a Charge for Christmas last year and he was happy with it, but really wanted the Charge HR which hadn't been released here at the time. It came out in mid January and he ended up getting one of those and I took his Charge. We really like them. DH loves that he can see what his HR did while running or biking. I love that I only have to have one device on my arm that is my fitness tracker and watch. The Fitbit Dashboard and app are great too, very easy to navigate and we love that can connect them with other programs/apps like MyFitnessPAl. I have no complaints with my Charge and DH only has two minor ones - he wishes his HR had the prong closure instead of the watchband closure and he would like a longer battery life. His will last about 3 1/2 days before he has to charge it, while mine lasts 9-10 days before I have to charge it. I would highly recommend either of these trackers, I don't think you could go wrong with either one. Which one just depends on whether you want to track your HR or not.

Loree

Hmmm... Not really - I guess the jewels could go with other things, but for the most part - they fit best with this theme. I am really thinking I am going to wait to get the jewels until after this trip - I have enough new stuff (ahem, I've spent enough $$ this time around) that it will be nice to have something new to add on next time. :)
Gotcha, I see what your saying! Sounds like a good plan to me! Are you planning on creating a new outfit for Allison's trip as well?

I am getting so frustrated with The Dis this morning - it keeps locking up, over and over again, even on the "edit" page. It's very frustrating, because I've lost my post countless times this morning... I am going to save it now after every paragraph, I think.
That's too bad, I hate when it does that. Maybe the site was getting maintenance this morning?:scratchin Glad its all up and running now...

I had a good day at Target... It was a short shift - which I loved!
That's great! Short work days are the best:goodvibes

That's horrible! I'm glad your careful enough to not get taken advantage of. It's totally not worth it. The holidays is a time to spend with your friends and family, not be be at work all the time if you don't want to.
However - while at work yesterday, I was informed that Target is doing a new "healthy lifestyle" promotion type thing... They are giving a FREE Fitbit Zip to each and every employee... Or you can get 50% off of a Flex... Or 25% off of a Charge, Charge HR or Surge.
Well that's a nice treat!
On top of that... We are also getting an additional 20% off of all C9 apparel... With our employee discounts - and other discounts, that = 35% right off the bat... and I've been using a lot of C9 lately, so this is awesome!
Even better!
I love that Target is doing this for us! :woohoo:
That is a great perk for working there!:thumbsup2
First of all - I tried out my Sparkle Skirt for the first time... And I do have to say that I love it!!!
SO CUTE! Love it! And yeah it looks very comfortable.
Overall - it was a fantastic run... and it added almost a mile on to my week day runs... Which is what was on the menu for this week. ::yes::
Awesome!!!
I will be in my sewing room all day, working away like a slave. Hehehehe....
Enjoy!! Have fun:thumbsup2

Sorry about the computer problems this morning. I have a Garmin Vivofit. I don't know much about the Fitbits. The HR seems to have a bigger display, though. I sell a lot of them at work. You are getting better with your running. I have no hills around here so walking or running up a hill is a drive south from here.
I totally understand about not changing your availability at work. I have fairly open availability which is why I get some weird shifts. My store doesn some not so nice things with Thanksgiving, too even if someone can't work that day normally they get scheduled. Someone I know got scheduled days on Black Friday but he had to work at his 'real' job. After some arguing they did fix it. I don't normally work Wednesdays but got scheduled on Christmas Eve even though it was on a day I don't work. They did fix that.
Glad you got a lot done in your sewing room. Sorry to hear that Cooper is being so bad. My mom had a dog that ate her carpet and pulled wallpaper off the walls. Evenually he grew out of it.
Hope you had a good day.
Liz

Charlie and I both have the Flex and like them. No problems with either, however I am thinking of upgrading to the Charge or Charge HR, since both will count stairs. I am up and down the stairs at work many times during the day and I'd like to keep track of it.
