September 2015 Countdown!

I'm working a half day tomorrow as well! I could not find DD6 birth certificate for TSA! Now I have to get a new one tomorrow...just add to my list. Plus a super busy day at work.

Why do you need the birth certificate? Has something changed in the last year that children now need IDs?

Edit: I just looked it up!

Children under the age of 18 and traveling on a domestic flight do not need to show identification or documentation unless they are under 14 days old (physician's letter required) or are traveling as a lap child(proof of age may be required).
This. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to get a copy of my child's birth certificate. I've flown TONS with my kids, and have never once been asked for a birth certificate. I'll probably take DD's with me because she's a lap baby, but I'll leave DS's at home. What do they care if he's 5, 10, or 50? The ticket cost is the same.

Still packing...I hate packing so much....

We leave tomorrow! I am getting a haircut after work today. Tomorrow I work 9-1 (that is going to be painful!) and then we're off to the airport!

Just got back from getting my hair cut - she chopped a lot off and it's much lighter and cooler now! Leaving to take my dog to a friend's house for the week then home to finish packing!

Just looking at the forecast for my trip, and it's only 77 degrees right now (and feels like 77)...it's raining and the humidity is super high (over 80%) but I'm cool with that, as long as I can literally feel cool.

I just hope there isn't too much lightning, because that could be problematic, but next week looks like lots of rain with sub-90 degree high temps!
We'll see what actually happens.

I'm just loving reading about everyone leaving so soon and those who are there now! As if I could be any more excited, but it is making me more excited!

Although we aren't visiting until the end of the month, I've been checking wait times and am so impressed! Those of you who are there now are very lucky! I know it'll pick up toward the end of the month for Food & Wine but am hoping for similar wait times.

Thank you @mommajo143 for posting that link about the hub construction - hoping they'll have made lots of good progress by the time we arrive on the 24th!

Your trip sounds fantastic :) Love how youre going to BOG for breakfast as a newbie, then by lunch time, you'll be an old pro! Im jealous of your going to Food and Wine. We leave right before it starts (in-laws ruined that for me :( ) AKL Club Level sounds amazing. Ive never stayed CL anywhere, in all my trips. Its on my bucket list :) I love your planned days and ADRs. Have a GREAT time!

I'm so jealous of AKL! We arrive on the 22nd. It looks like we have a few of the same days planned! Lol. I also look forward to snacking and drinking my away around the world! :hyper:

So somehow Disney made two accounts for me with the same e-mail address. One has everything minus our Yachtsman steakhouse ADR linked so I went to check to see if I could make another ADR for around the same time so it would link to everything else and there is an abundance of reservations now! So I cancelled the one attached to the 'ghost twin' account.

Anyone else have the issue of having to make two accounts?

Anywho, it makes me feel a lot better now that I can see ALL of our ADRs in MDE.

Finally back from taking my dog to a friend's house (ended up taking an hour each way with holiday weekend rush hour traffic) and am back home to finish getting ready to leave tomorrow! Just threw in a final load of laundry. Need to finish packing - blech, not my favorite task. Leaving tomorrow morning!!

Ive never been asked, Even scarier is not one person asks her if I am her mother! What I do like, is we are usually pulled out of the regular security line to go into the "express"! Unfortunately, hubby usually doesnt get to come with us and we have to wait regardless :(

3 1/2 hours until I have to get up for our trip to the airport! Plane takes off at 7:05! First to the keys....and then to see my other man....MICKEY!!!!

Guess I better go to bed!

Nite all!

I'm in love with Wilderness Lodge and I'd definitely call it home! :goodvibes I love the smell, theming, food, the scenery, location, EVERYTHING. Our room is perfect. It's facing Magic Kingdom, it's right across from the elevator which is next to Roaring Fork on the first floor as well as easy access to the pool. DH and I are having a wonderful time. Weather has been hot, but it's only rained once during the day and we missed it due to dinner at BOG. We got so lucky! Today we'll be at Epcot and we'll head over to Magic Kingdom after Illuminations.

Leaving for the airport in 3 hours!! Hoping to close down the MK tonight - it's open til 2am but that's only midnight my time and 11pm my parents' time so I think we should be able to do it!! Of course I didn't get much sleep and they had to get up at 3:30am to get ready to go to the airport...

Today's the day - woohoo!! :cool1::dance3:

Glad you're having a great time!! We love the WL also - it's especially nice all decked out for the holidays!

Your trip sounds wonderful. Your post is making me so excited for Monday when we get to the lodge too. We have a 3 hour trip from our in-laws to Disney so I'm hoping we can get on the road early Monday morning.

ONE DAY!!
That's it, we are almost packed have odds and ends to finish up. Hopefully I can get some sleep tonight

Good news! I printed off our boarding passes, and our departure time is actually 6:45! I thought it was closer to 6. So I should get an extra 30 minutes of sleep on Sunday. Maybe a bit longer. If I can sleep at all. I'm planning on just letting the kids travel in their PJs. So it's just a matter of DH and I getting up and ready. My Mom is dropping us off, so we don't have to deal with the shuttle for parking. My goal is to leave the house by 5:00, but we should be fine as long as we leave by 5:30. I love small airports. So much easier than the big ones where you pretty much have to get there 2 hours early or you'll miss your flight. It will make the 4 hour layover in Houston so much more bearable.

So somehow Disney made two accounts for me with the same e-mail address. One has everything minus our Yachtsman steakhouse ADR linked so I went to check to see if I could make another ADR for around the same time so it would link to everything else and there is an abundance of reservations now! Yes, but I think it's finally resolved. Disney bugged me about it for a long time, and I had to merge them or something, then remember which one I 'kept.'
I'm glad you got what you wanted!
Wow, I just looked at there's tons more availability. I was hoping for a slightly later ADR at Hollywood & Vine though, and I would have to switch to lunch, which is more expensive. Oh well... Maybe I'll check Ohana....

I think I'm finally done packing, but it occurred to me while I was sleeping last night, that I still need to weigh my bags. Spirit has a 40 lb limit, instead of 50. I'm almost positive that my bags usually weigh in at a little over 30 lbs. but I'm not sure.

Ive never been asked, Even scarier is not one person asks her if I am her mother! What I do like, is we are usually pulled out of the regular security line to go into the "express"! Unfortunately, hubby usually doesnt get to come with us and we have to wait regardless :(

Eh...asking a kid if the person they're with is their mother could backfire quickly. DS talks about his 'new mommy and daddy' all the time. I've also heard stories of people whose kids scream "you're not my Mommy!" in public places to get a reaction.
I'm sure I'm super shady with my all my bags....you know the diaper bag, the toy bag, individual gallon sized bags with changes of clothes in them, quart sized bags with sensitive baby wash, and the bags under my eyes from lack of sleep...if they really want to take my kids away from me for a few days, then I'll happily give them my Mom's phone number and go to Disney alone... DS's reaction when he finds out he won't get to go on the plane and "take the train to Disney World" would be enough punishment for anyone who would question that he's not my child.
Just kidding....mostly...

It's interesting that they don't let him come through the express line with you. Every airport I've been in with a 'family' line has let the whole traveling party go through together. I've taken my adult siblings and parents through with me.
That said...I'm faster getting through security than most people who travel without kids (except business travelers) so I don't have a problem with the grumpy looks people give me when they see my entourage in the regular lines. My Mom was traveling with me once and said "I'll go first, then help you." By the time she got all her stuff piled on the belt and turned around to help me, I was done, and ready to hand DS off to her.
In any case, we're flying out of an airport that has a separate security line for every 3-5 gates. It usually takes about 10 minutes to get through, and it would be highly counter productive for Orlando to start a 'family' line, so no special 'traveling with kids' perks for us this time.

I was to stay at the WL so bad. Hopefully we'll be able to save up enough before our next trip!
