Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

I still haven't gotten my room text yet. I did online check in with 11 am arrival. Someone else here at the airport received her text.

I'm so stressed at this point.

We got lunch vouchers and I'm at the bar. It's all I've got at this point.
I've had my room ready at check in about 50% of the time, no matter what time I put in my online check info. I think that helps get a room ready if they can but that's it.

To expand on it further. It's 30 days from the day you do your first download. Not from the day photos are taken.

Thank you! A lot has changed since our first trip over 2 years ago - Magic Bands, FP+, and now Memory Maker...I appreciate the help!

I have finally caught up on the updates to the Be Our Guest list. I would appreciate if you could look it over and let me know if anything needs to be corrected.

Thanks!

Post 15:
Be Our Guest List

:cool1:

My sister's family and I will also be doing a Poly/Beach Club split stay next spring (over Spring Break) from March 19th through March 26th. We are pretty sad as my niece is now in high school and very active in sports so this may be the last family Disney trip for a while. :sad2:

They are bringing in a new plane but we won't leave until about 3. The plane gets here at 225.

With that came another voucher for $100 each so basically my flights were free.

This is so frustrating but better to be safe than sorry. I'm glad they caught the issue.

Idk about BOG. We will go to the podium if we are late and beg but if not I made an "insurance" ADR for our last day just in case of something like this.
From your description of events, I'm guessing that you are flying Southwest. As much as I LUV Southwest (it's my airline of choice), unfortunately, they have no interline agreements with other carriers to put you on another airline.

In the meantime, enjoy your vouchers. There may even be free drinks on the flight for everyone, under the circumstances. :drinking:

I'm sure that everyone will try to be as accommodating, as possible, with your ADRs, considering your unplanned delay in arrival.

I have a couple of questions for our trip in March. My mom will be turning 60 in March (not during our trip but we will still be celebrating it :bday:). Do they offer anything that I can order to be delivered to her room....champagne, wine, strawberries type stuff (we are staying at BC)? We are also planning on doing an illumination cruise one night. Can we bring our own bottle of wine or champagne or do we need to order through the hotel? Can we order a cake or cupcakes for the cruise? Since it is a big birthday and we won't get to spend her actual birthday with her, I want to do a few special things for her during our trip

Yup southwest.

We used our lunch vouchers and with full bellies the crankiness is lower.

Boyfriend and I are plotting what to do with our flight vouchers. Thinking adults only in the Caribbean.

I'm going to go to the BOG podium with DD and hope for the best.

No help with the cruise but you can order things for the room
We've used Garden Grocer to order adult beverages.
And I've used Disney Florist to order surprises.

You will want to call Yacht & Beach Club Private Dining at 407-934-3105 closer to your trip. They can make special occasion cakes and if memory serves, they would be the ones to service the Illuminations cruise (check out Lurkyloo's Cake Chatter Part IV thread on the DIS for more info and ideas - see the first page).

I plan on ordering a cake from Private Dining for our upcoming trip and I think they can also do cookies and choc-covered strawberries. I decided to get our adult beverages (wine, beer, and champagne) directly from Garden Grocer since the there was not much of a markup.

I'm new to this thread and chiming in . . . we have a nightmare story from waiting on a plane with Southwest. I'll save it til later so as not to jinx you. Sending happy thoughts and pixie dust. At least you have vouchers. Our issue was an "act of nature" and we were never compensated in any way. I'm interested to know how you got them to do the right thing. Turn on some park music and pretend your in a lounge at Epcot. You'll get there!

Looking forward to all of the upcoming trips for everyone!!!!

DH is going through some weird Cupcake obsession? Everytime I mention food posts in The Dis he asks of its a cupcake??!!?? So if anyone happens to see some unique cupcakes please post them!!!

This is one of my favorite threads on DisBoards. It started in 2011, so the beginning is quite dated, but it is still being updated with great cupcakes!

And then there's this.

When the notified us of the first delay and that it was being delayed to 1250 they told us to come up and get $100 vouchers. When they announced the 2nd delaying going to 225 they told us to come up and get another $100 voucher. There was no asking.

Are they also refunding the cost of the outbound flight?

If the FAs don't offer free drink or Wi-Fi (if the plane has Wi-Fi), it would not hurt to ask. You have had a substantial delay due to mechanical issue - not an "Act of God."

HelenB: My husband Thanks You

But will his waistline thank me? ;)

I always gain weight with those cupcakes (we've been known to take the boat over from YC to DHS just to grab some Butterfinger cupcakes at Starring Rolls) but it is soooo worth it!

HelenB: we have been in a complete sugar free diet for almost 20 weeks!!!

Not only will our waistlines grow but we will be in complete sugar coma for days!!!!!
