Checking in from the Traverse my SAB buddies, I should reach la casa de Pas around 9pm tonight. I wanted to give my overall review of Beach Club.
Checking in: initially I was underwhelmed as they were doing paving in the self park and it was starting to rain. Walking toward the entrance I spotted a snake in the grass by BCV so I screamed like a weirdo. Also we saw turtles and a small alligator in the water by the entrance as well. Yes I am a wimp, my DD8 wanted to pet it lol. I'm fine with the ducks and turtles thank you very much. I will say it's cool to see the wildlife though.
View attachment 119458 The lobby was busy, and I went to the front desk since I didn't trust our MBs to be set up correctly. They called a runner to bring us up to the 5th floor. We were given our welcome champagne in the lounge and escorted to our rooms which were ready, 5719 & 5721 both had full balconies and a gorgeous pool view. Paul took our MBs which were not working and fixed all the check in info which strangely disappeared from the system. All was now good.
Rooms: very nice and light. The bathroom door is hard to close with the toilet there, however no one ever closes a door in our family..the beds were so comfy!
Location: I underestimated how perfect BC is for Epcot!! Loved the walk! First thing I did was activate our APs and get our
DAS for the parks. Then I got some fish and chips
The resort: SAB is like having 5 different pools. It rained every afternoon so we didn't get as much swimming in as we liked. This was our first trip that we had rain like this, we've been spoiled in the past. This is by far WDWs best pool, we didn't have issues getting a chair and we only used one for the seven of us. Mostly to hold our stuff, but finding a chair in the shade would've been doable (just not multiple chairs). I loved the noodles and tubes which were always plentiful. My kids even enjoyed the kiddie pool on the pirate ship.
Food: we ate at both Captains Grille and Cape May Cafe for breakfast and dinner. I would recommend Captains Grille breakfast most definitely. Unfortunately there was no AC the night of our Cape May dinner so as tasty as it was we were too hot to eat. Hurricane Hanna's was always a madhouse but the food was decent. Most of our meals were quick service in the parks.
Mousekeeping: awesome! I must have a years supply of my favorite sea salt H2O toiletries. And I loved the turndown chocolates! I love chocolate period
Club level: offerings were plentiful and the staff was great. DH and I drank our weight in beer and wine, I never had an empty glass. The desserts were the best. We were always able to find a seat and the ease of giving the kids breakfast made it worthwhile. I doubt my DH will ever go without CL again. This is a big deal, he's a WDW cheapskate
I was fortunate to meet our Teena and give her a big hug. For those who went to the agency dessert party those were my girls and my TAs DDs running up and down the stairs inside. I let them do it because it was my birthday and therefore my party. Honestly I let them run around because they were having fun, and the desserts there were meh. Illuminations on my birthday was priceless however.
Overall, Beach Club is our favorite. Welcome home, every time we heard that we really felt like it was our home. Everyone was friendly and kind, and now it's time to plan the next trip! Thank you to all my kind DIS friends here for all your trip planning help!
I've posted pics before but why not post again
