They are PODS, but not the Keurig type......the machine is similar to the one I have at home only mine makes a single cup (pod) and a pot of coffee........it is a Hamilton Beach coffee maker. If you google this brand of coffee maker with the word "pod" you should see what they are. Similar to the Senseo brand of pods. I've seen them at Walmart! I usually bring a box of my own from home.
Thanks!

We leave tomorrow! YAY...cant believe its finally here...CBR here we come, this year we are flying from Houston to Tampa instead of driving 16 hours to Orlando so YAY to that too! This will be our 6th time back...just cant wait. Thanks everyone on here for keeping me excited these past 6 months...you guys rock. Talk to you when I get back and tell you all about it.

Safe travels and have a fantastic trip!!!!!

I must say I have found the Touring Plans Room Finder to be extremely inaccurate.

I agree.

Dansdad, I'm so glad I read your post... I put in a room request based on their photos. We've stayed in Aruba before and loved our room and the location, but I asked for a different bldg based on TP. Thank you for the info! At least our trip is not until December! Again thanks!

FYI, we stayed in room 2616 from 8/5-8/8 and we called Housekeeping every day to spray for a distinct smoke smell. However, I talked to them after we came home and they said they would do a deep clean so the room may be OK now.

We noticed a heavy perfumy smell when we checked in but it was 1:30am, we were tired, and we loved the location so we stayed. When we came back from the parks the next day, the old smoke smell was strong so we called for them to spray. They offered us a new room but we thought another spray would help.

When I unpacked at home, all of our clothes, ponchos, everything cloth or vinyl, and even all the tubing & masks with our CPAP machines reeked of smoke. We had to replace the tubing and I washed everything. I called CBR to let them know of it and they said they would do a deep clean. I didn't call to complain but rather to let them know to fix it for the next guests.

The room was in a GREAT location, tho! It is right next to Port Royale and the Port Royale bus stop. In fact, the Port Royale parking lot was closer than the Martinique lot.

A lot of their (Touring Plans) info is just outdated... not sure if the books are as outdated as the website, but it's a bit disappointing.

For those of you who are looking for room views, I posted some pictures over on the CBR pic thread a while back. I also took quite a few during our last trip. I, literally, walked around the entire resort. During my walk, I wound my way through the buildings and stood in front of doors and took pictures of the view(s). I'll see if I can find the pictures and post them here.

I don't know the answers to your questions, so sorry. I will ask you though, do you have detergent "pods" there? I believe they make them for sensitive skin and they are so easy to bring with you. They are tiny and take up no room at all and it will save you a few dollars. I sure am glad you told us what ice lollies are because I had no earthly idea. :confused3 I love it! :lmao:
Yea we call them liquitabs, I do use liquid and was wondering whether to bring a small bottle of this but am unsure whether you can use liquid in the washers there:confused3
Anyone know the answer to my freezer section question?:worship:
Also the coffee in the rooms, what does it taste like? I am more of an instant girl but if I do have a *proper* coffee I prefer Costa to Starbucks *gasp!*:rolleyes1:flower1:

The freezer is about the size of two slim size water bottles. We put a bottle of water in it and it did freeze though not super solid.

Hey Mickeystoontown...we are here now, wanted to update you on the last refrigerator picture you took. We are in room 23XX (Martinique) and our fridge does not have a little freezer area.

Overall we are pleased with the resort! DH says it reminds him of Dixie Landings (that's how long we've been coming to Disney together, that trip was right after my college graduation 20 years ago). Our last few stays were at deluxes and we are finding CBR just right for our needs for a family of 5. I requested Martinique on pre-check-in and that is where we ended up! Second floor, which is not bad except for the one rude guest dragging their stroller up the stairs late at night(we are next to some stairs). We got a text that our room was ready about 15 minutes before the arrival time I put on my online check-in. However there was NO welcome packet in our room upon arrival, I looked everywhere LOL I will go to concierge sometime later and just grab one from them-we did have to get a parking pass from them already. There is a sign for boat service to Trinidad section, it only runs during certain times and I'll try and update on the times later if I get a chance. Our walk to OPR is fine, I mean you are walking at Disney anyway what's a few extra minutes (like 5 for us). It has been hot and a bit rainy but that isn't unusual for this time of year. The crowds seem sort of normal to me for this time of year, manageable. I am having some connectivity issues with the WiFi here and at the parks, right now it is good. I'll try and update more during the week. I must say taking older kids is a breath of fresh air, mostly they are flexible and going with the flow-even my almost 9 year old. We are finding that we are closing parks instead of opening them. We are off to AK later, right now though DH is taking pictures of the resort, two kids are "plugged in" and one is still sleeping at 9am.

Thank you so much for the update on the refrigerator. I guess that some of them have the freezer and some don't. Our travel party had four rooms in Jamaica and we all had freezers. Good to know that not all do.

I know that flexibility that you are referring to. It's so much easier when the kiddos are older and no longer needs breaks and/or strollers. I don't miss those days at all! Having said that, one day I'll be pushing grandbabies in a stroller at Disney and I'll gladly do it.

I don't mind if i don't have the freezer...it creates less space in the fridge area anyway and don't have the need for freezer.

Mini-fridge from my refurbed roomhttp://**************.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Mini-fridge-Refurbished-Queen-Room-Disneys-Caribbean-Beach-Resort-from-**************.net_.jpg
How much did the 6 pack of Budweiser cost you? 8-)

$15 plus tax!! Whenever I remember to, I put a "scaling object" in the mini-fridges before photographing them (used to be Bud, now it's my book). I do this for two reasons: 1. So people have a good sense of how big/small these thingies really are, and 2. To prove that the reviews on my site come from actual stays, not reading and rehashing other people's stuff and grabbing photos taken by other people ...

$15 for a six-pack. Eeekkkk! I love SW Airlines with the free bags. We bring a suitcase with a case of Bud Light with us. It costs $15 for the case compared to $60 here.

Just dropping by to say that we've been home from CBR for almost three months and my kids are still raving about it. They weren't even this impressed with AoA Cars Suites. They have stopped asking when we can go back to Disney and just ask when they can go back to CBR. If you are wondering if you made the right choice with this resort, you did!
