Thanks, but not at wdw yet. 10 days in Ft Lauderdale first! We landed last night.

Only 3 weeks left until our first GF stay.

So, any special places in the resort that I should get pictures of? Any special little things we should look for? I love all of the little details at WDW and I'm always looking for fun photos to add to our albums.

One special thing is the morning Parasol Parade, 2 mornings a week.

I think Trish should be there now. She was flying out same day as us, today. But we're in Ft Lauderdale untill 22nd, so will miss her in wdw. Got to airport car rental place today, and promptly slammed stupid car door on my thumb, ugh. Not a good way to start the vacay

~ Just read that Havianas (which are the most comfy gushy flip flops ever..) and Disney have created a a new relationship...and there will be Disney themed Haviana flip flops available at WDW WL and DVC as well.. (MickeuNut..my flop flop wearing in ANY season friend..this has your name all over it!!) ....... Always enjoy new Disney merchandise...lol...Now if they would just get Pandora to make some resort specific charms....lol..Its all about the food..and shopping too....

Hello, my Grand friends!! Sorry I have been gone so long, I have been very busy with life but really have no good excuse for my extended absence. Just laziness. Wow, things have really changed on the DIS!

BlueSkies, how appropriate I am posting right after your latest, how are you?! Great, I hope - I need to catch up with everyone. Missed you all, I'll bet you've had some great trips to our favorite place.

I know there are many updates that need to be added/deleted from the first page. I will try to find some time this weekend to get as much done as possible.

Looking forward to getting back in the DIS mood.

FYI - Have been quoted $744 / hour for the Grand 1 for our September visit and $850 / hour for our March visit. - Mac

Thanks for this, I will get that updated.

If there are any other changes I need to make, hopefully everyone will let me know. It will take me a bit to get used to the new format.

Can you fit a rollaway bed in the 1 bedroom villa bedroom? Optimally we would have the whole family sleep in one room and have the other room available to hang out in for nap time, and for the earlier kid bedtime. I'd like to put a rollaway and pack in play, optimally.

There are no rollaways available/allowed for the Villas. You would have to bring an air mattress from home.

There are no rollaways available/allowed for the Villas. You would have to bring an air mattress from home.

We saw an alligator near Tom Sawyer's island a few years back. Also saw one while we were on the bus to DTD. It was on the golf course!

What!!! No more carving station in RPC? I was keeping my fingers crossed that if we ever get back there that it would be one of the perks of staying in RPC. All good things must come to an end, as the saying goes.

There are pool shots, food shots, monorail shots and shots of the floor ( yes, really). It really is a great resort for photography and limited only by your imagination ... mine is not great.

Thanks to all for the scooter answers! I just love the pictures that were posted too! Getting really excited about our stay at GF in 22 days! We all really need this trip. My husband has been staying 4 days a week with his 94 year old Dad since last April, so we're really looking forward to the 3 of us being together for a week at the most fabulous resort in the World!
