VGF people.: another coffee option is to bring a can or bag from home. I like simple 8oclock or maxwell house but you could get a bag of dunkin or Starbucks. The key is to not use the Florida tap water. I buy the half gallon water at the resort and that works fine.

Of course somebody willing to fetch is great too!

For BLT /VGF stays I do bring a few items from home. I like juicy juice boxes, gold fish crackers, cashews or almonds etc for snacks. We buy eggs, butter, bagels oj, milk etc at the resort for quick breakfasts.

I found the links I donated on page one helpful. It's nice to see the different view choices.

Congrats on becoming DVC members. We bought 200 points at the VGF last July and stayed for our first visit there in June. You are going to absolutely love it!

Thanks! We purchase 200pts as well. We haven't even been yet but we're already talking about adding on points.

What a good DH ..Gasparilla's has quite a nice selection of breakfast items too...fresh cut fruit platter...and the of course Mickey waffles...

Yah, he's not bad, I think I'll keep him around! I think we're planning on grabbing breakfast from there a few of the mornings. It's closed the first morning we're there, but we have and ADR at BoG that morning anyway.

@Maddie's Nana the lot across the street from the GF is now only for employee parking. During our last trip, they directed us to self park in a lot on the far left side of the convention center. Hope this helps.

@Maddie's Nana Yes, it was better. It's still a bit of a walk, but we cut through the service area near Gasparilla Island. So it wasn't too bad.

Our second stay at The GF is quickly approaching--less than 3 weeks! We just found out that my husband will be needing a scooter this trip. We're staying in RPC. I've requested the same room we had last year because we loved it so much! Do all of the rooms accommodate Scooters? We're staying 7 days, so I was thinking of using one of Disney's recommended scooter rental places rather than renting in the parks. If I have a scooter delivered, will it change the room choices?

Getting closer!!! Received the e-mail to set up texting. . We are not telling our DGD and her friend about going to Disney. They think we are going to the Space Center. Also DD doesn't know we are staying at CL. Love secrets!!

Its the CL texting which you can use for a 4th FP, help in ADR's, etc. Hope you have a great trip also.

Lol! Cute story! I agree I know I have been on the path bar hopping with dh or beach/shop hopping with dd and I don't remember lights yet I don't remember being scared either. I'll be there soon and will check!!

I don't know if you'll see this while you are at GF or not, but I'm wondering if GF CL still leaves beverages in the fridge after hours?? I know they did in February, but so many things have been changing!

I don't think there are any RPC rooms that wouldn't accommodate a scooter, but I don't know for sure. Hopefully others who stay RPC frequently will be able to give a definite answer .

I agree with MickeyNut about the rooms accommodating the scooter..although the rooms across the atrium have a bit of a different configuration and might be a little larger...We do always see them parked out in the hallways charging...so I do think many folks don't even bring them into the rooms...

As of June they were still stocked...and I noticed extra waters were generally stocked in the late evening. ..Another change ..I understand that the carving station is no longer being offered...wonder if there will be additional hot appetizers?? Always about the food...lol..

I hope I didn't miss giving Trish a proper send off...Safe travels..Hope you and your DD have a grand trip!!!

I don't think the scooter will affect your room request either, but you can always ask the IPO. If the room you like is close to the lounge and elevators, perhaps noting that you will need this because you will have a scooter will increase your chances of getting what you want?? But if someone checked into the room you want before you, not even that will help, so make sure to note what it is that you like about that room (was it location, view, etc.?) so that they can assign another room you will like if that one is occupied (perhaps the same room exists on the floor directly above or below??).
