January 2016

End of jan/beginning of Feb for us! Nothing booked yet, but almost completely planned on paper! Right down to ADRs we will want! Still holding off on penciling in FPs though!

It is making me crazy waiting to book, but I figure I might as well wait until packages come out!

I'll be there first week of January for the 5k. First trip with no kids. Want to do race and keys to the kingdom tour.

Got race tickets haven't book a room still waiting on discounts. But thinking French quarter or Coronado.
Just did port Orleans with kids in sept.

Can't wait

I am doing the same type of planning and so ready to have the winter discounts posted!

Looks like my wife and I will work a speaking gig into another Disney adventure.
Yacht Club January 29 - February 2nd
Now comes the food planning…

Anyone else planning for January 2016? Tell me I'm not the only one thinking this far ahead....:goodvibes
We are going the last week of January. Taking the kids out of school for the week. Haven't made any plans yet. Doing some preplan, but can't book until vacation is set in mid Oct. I work as a firefighter and am very low on senority and won't see a summer vacation until my kids are grown.

I feel your pain. My husband and I work in farm research, so no summer vacations until we retire or die! The kids aren't in school yet, so we take family trips in Jan/Feb, but I see a lot of fights with our school in the future.
On the bright side, January is a great time of year to be in Florida and WDW! Usually, the weather is awesome. Last time we were there, it was the last week of Jan, with lows about 55 and highs about 65. Nice park temps with no sweating!

So excited to be able to join this thread! DH and I will be taking our 2nd trip w/o the kids Jan 15-20 before our AP's expire :cheer2: Doing a split stay between 2 resorts new to us, AKV and the Poly!! Our first time at a monorail resort :thumbsup2 Hoping our friends will be joining us for a few nights but they won't know until Sept.
Looking forward to planning with you all! But first I need to work on the details of our Thanksgiving trip........

We are taking our kids out for that week, the school probably won't like it, but they have to realize not everybody can get time off when school is out. Originally we were just gonna do 5 days and take them out for 3, but got to thinking and decided to do the whole week. The 2 day difference won't make any difference in elementary school.

We are booked Jan 22-31. We have gone the last 3 years that time of year and the weather is great!! ADRs next Sunday!!

Nice to hear about the weather! We went once in Jan. and it was very, very cold, unseasonably cold. Also been in Feb. and got the "unseasonably cold" week and then this past March we were there for 4 days, 3 quite chilly,
that were in the middle of two weeks with most days in the 80's. Maybe it's us :rolleyes1

I'm taking my 28 year old bonus daughter on her very first trip (shhhh, it's a surprise) Jan. 24-30. Told her to take the week off because we are going on our very first adventure with just the two of us! I've booked ASSp because even without a discount, the 6 nights, 6 days park passes and upgraded to Disney Dining Plan is in my budget. A discount just means more souveniers, or we'll fly instead of drive! (I'd have preferred ASMo, but there haven't been discounts there in January the last few years, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed)!

MEEEEEEE!!!!! We've been booked since Jan 2015 and are going Jan 9-16 2016! then are embarking on a WDCruise for a week!!! So EXCITED!!!

We're DVC members, so we try to plan and book as soon as our booking window opens. We want to try the Polynesian. We love going in January/February. The weather is great and the crowds are lighter. The resort heat the pools, so on warmer Florida days, we can even take a swim.

We'll miss you by a day, we're checking out of the Poly on the 20th after 2 nights there following 3 nights at AKV. Not DVC members but rented points (again) for this trip :)

We're going Jan 22nd-29th and staying at CBR. I'm very excited. My youngest turns 10 on the 23rd and what better place to do that then Disney! The kids will find out on Christmas morning :)

We are all booked at Pop Century Jan23 - Jan31. Hard at work planning. My wife has been a bunch of times, the last time I've been Epcot was still under construction and this will be our 4yr old sons first real vacation, first plane ride, and first Disney Trip. To say we are excited would be a wee little understatement. We got our ADR's all in last week!!
