I don't post much but wanted to take a minute and thank everybody for all the information you shared. Everyone has made planning this trip a lot easier. I think I am more prepared for this cruise than for any other trip we have ever taken. We wish everyone safe travels!

Are there going to be shuttles back to the ship? We are doing an excursion with ABD, but they said the bus leaves at 6pm (way too early!) and we'd like to stay later. Are there other buses/shuttles from Tivoli, or would we just need to cab it?
We purchased s CPH card that covers all public transportation and free entrance into 75 attractions with one being Tivoli Gardens.

I found it through researching on cruiseportwiki.

Thanks! I think we may end up taking a taxi since there will be 5 of us and I'm sure we'll be pretty tired after a day at the park.

I can't believe the cruise is just a few weeks away....can't wait!!

I thought that you had to pay extra for the concert. I am planning to be there in the evening, but I'm not going to the concert. I'd like to see the light show and then take the shuttle back to the ship.

According to the website, the Friday Rocks concerts are included in the cost of general admission tickets. There are also some concerts throughout the summer season that are admission by separate ticket (for instance Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga's show).

Safe travels to you as well. Enjoy.

What we are hearing from people who are doing the cruises now is that there is a free shuttle back and forth from Tivoli Gardens to the ship.

A free shuttle would be good. There was no shuttle in 2010. We used the number 26 bus to Tivoli & walked back. However, we were not overnight there so had a much earlier time to be on board. A rethink maybe in order if there is a properly free shuttle!

You are correct there was no free shuttle in 2010 but trip reports have indicated one this year, do for, but we dock in a different place to the cruises starting and ending in Copenhagen.

That's true. Assuming we do still dock at Langelinie it is only a short walk to town, so I'm guessing no shuttle for us unless they decide to run one which covers time periods not covered by public transport options

I do not think we will know for sure until the cruise before ours on the 10th so in Copenhagen on the 12th, they will dock where we will.

It would be good if someone posts it.

An update from concierge to share with you;-

With regards to the shows onboard the ship, we do not receive the onboard schedule in advance to know which shows will be each evening. Also, any additional shows added due to the 12-night sailing is not determined prior to sailing. Currently, the shows that are onboard the Disney Magic are All Aboard: Let the Magic Begin!, Disney Dreams: An Enchanted Classic, Twice Charmed, Villains Tonight, and Remember the Magic: A Final Farewell. We also are not provided the variety act entertainer schedule prior to sailing. We would recommend checking your Personal Navigator once onboard for any details.

Your dining rotation is not assigned until about 1-2 days prior to sailing and the information is downloaded straight to the ship. We do not receive this information from our dining team prior to sailing. You will find out your rotation when you check-in at the port. However, we do know what the three different dining rotations will be for the sailing and we can request a specific rotation on your reservation. The following are the dining rotations offered:

L - Lumiere's, A - Animator's Palate, and C - Carioca's

Rotation #1: LACLACLACLAC

Rotation #2: ACLACLACLACL

Rotation #3: CLACLACLACLA

Formal Night will be on Thursday July 23rd,
the Frozen night will be on Friday July 31st,
and the Semi-Formal Night will be on Saturday August 1st.
Animator's Palate will feature the special interactive shows on the second and fourth night you are in Animator's Palate no matter which rotation you are scheduled on.

This was very helpful. Thank you! I've requested rotation #3 because I like to be in Lumiere's for formal night.

Just booked our Dover => Heathrow (late flight) transfer, which will give us a little extra England on the last day before we return to the States.
.
Taxi meets us at the Port....

Hi DisneyConvert - Which tour company did you book through? I'm trying to get our return to the airport organised (don't want to use the National Express bus or train), but not sure who to use. I found a bus tour online that would've been ideal, but the timings don't fit with our return flight unfortunately.

That's what we like to do, glad I helped.
For those that have been before, what's average cost of Russian lunch?

What I can say is very cheap we had a meal at the Peterhof and included our guide, for five of us it was below £10. Now that was 2010. Anastsia says 700 to 1000 pp pd. But it's cheap. Imported stuff like coke is proportionally more expensive.

Thank you both for asking/answering this one. It's one of the things I was wondering also, but hadn't thought to ask here!

Quick question about "Frozen" night - is it the second night we're in St. Petersburg? I made Palo reservations for that night at 7pm...is that not a good time for it? I don't want to miss the activities (but I'm assuming they start later in the evening?).

Hi Paddles - Frozen night has been reported to be on 31st July - our Tallinn day - so your Palo reservation should be fine.

Thanks - I was doing the math incorrectly when figuring out dates the dining rotation/Frozen party! :o

That makes a lot more sense they'd do the party on an easier port day when folks aren't rushing around.

The Frozen deck party, "Freezing the Night Away with Elsa, Anna and Friends" is scheduled to begin at 10:15pm (after both dinner seatings). So, anyone with Palo reservations on our Tallinn night should be fine, as well. :thumbsup2
