Fantasmic! & WOC Dining Packages. Good? Bad?

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the dining packages for the two parks? We REALLY want to see the nighttime shows and would consider dining but does anyone have any thoughts? Particularly on WOC and Aladdin's Grab and Go? Are they worth it? Does it stop you seeing the parade/nighttime wishes?
Any advice would be welcome.

Thank you!

We just had the WOC dining package at Wine Country Trattoria two weeks ago. You definitely can get some good spots to see the show without wasting all night waiting in line. The food was good and they had several options for one set price. It probably wouldn't be worth it to get every time you go, but if you want a nice meal with the show, then go for it! WCT also has a lunch dining package that is cheaper.

I do not recommend the Grab and Go for F! FP. You just get the Blue area and it's really not worth it.
We did love the Blue Bayou (dinner) F! package and the Carthay Circle (lunch) WOC package.
I wold do both of those again if we were to go back. The view for both were excellent.

We did the Carthay Circle lunch WOC package. The food was delicious and the WOC location was perfect. I arrived about 60 minutes early and had the perfect spot for my family (DD 7 and DD 10, plus DH and I). All of the best FP views were already taken when I arrived at 8. Plus they were packed in like sardines (and were forced to stand). We sat and played games until 5 minutes before the show. It was well worth it for us.

I have a question-if you had to stand dur to physical limitations is there any need to arrive super early with a dining package? My DH cannot sit on the ground so I'm guessing we'll be at the back anyway, right? He HATES waiting around for stuff like this!

We just did the BB F! package on Tuesday and thought it was totally worth it. Granted, the food at BB isn't spectacular, but the ambiance is and we always enjoy eating there. The viewing spot was excellent--best I've ever had. It's front and center, right in front of the railing, and you do not have to line up to wait. You do have to sit on the ground but BB gives you a little cushion which helps some. I also had plenty of room to stretch out my legs. They don't cram too many people in the area. I thought it was great!

For the CC WOC package, there were a couple of benches available. The CM asked that we allow guests who need to sit to have the seats. At an hour before the show the seats were about halfway full. I would arrive even earlier if you want a guaranteed bench seat.

We love the Carthay Circle WOC package. We do lunch and then ask for the second shoe. This trip we will also be trying out the BB F! package so we'll see how that is. Because of iffy reviews for food in recent years, we haven't been to BB for about 15 or 20 years. So, we'll give it a try and see.

I've done the dinner WOC package at Wine Country Trattoria and had an excellent view for World of Color. Just keep in mind that they're not responsible of the show is cancelled for whatever reason which did happen one year I went.

Anyone have photos of the current prix fixe menus from CC or WCT, or can confirm that those on AllEars/touring plans are still accurate?

PinkBudgie - How long ago did you do the lunch and request the second show pass? I would love to do this. Lunch is cheaper and the second show is less crowded, best of both worlds.

I'm following this thread. For the first time in YEARS! on the next trip there are only 2 of us. Usually I take 4 grandkids and my DIL.
With 6 people I can not even consider a Fantasmic! dinner. However, with two I can. Yah.....

We did WOC dining at Carthay Circle - the reserved section for CC was perfect- dead center and up a little from the wet zone. We got there an hour before the show and were 2nd in line (this was a Friday night in May during Tinkerbell 1/2 Marathon weekend). We had a great view and it never got too crowded in there.

It is not 100% accurate. I can't remember everything on the current menu. I can tell you the soup and salad are the same. The braised beef sandwich, burger, and fish of the day (salmon) were on there. For some reason I think the ravioli was different. They still have the chocolate dessert but not the semi-Freddo. Now it's a creme brûlée type of dessert.

Trying to decide between CC and WCT for WoC...which do people prefer? I'm curious about the food, but even more so about the viewing area. I am 5'3", so a good viewing spot is a little more challenging to find for me :headache: :rotfl2:

Also, if you do lunch instead of dinner, is it definite that you could see the second WoC show?

We already plan to have F! BB Dinner package. The CC lunch package for WOC sounds like a nice option too if we can get an ideal view with no squishing! Does anyone know how late you can do a lunch at CC?

We did the Grab and Go from Aladdin's and it was perfect for what we needed it for. My plan was to obtain a late showing FP without stalking the machines. It seemed, to me, that i would need to be dining during the time I needed to be staking out my spot for the parade and fireworks.

I thought the food from Aladdin's was fine, I liked the concept (DH held our spots and I picked up dinner. It's really peaceful inside the dining area and pretty too). They packaged our food to go and we ate at our parade spot. I'd do it again, for sure, because it met my needs and I was able to pull off the parade/fireworks/Fantasmic trifecta due to it. We only has one DL day. With more time, I'd have done it differently, but it worked for what I needed it to.

Lookin at the menus that are available, we're thinking of WCT lunch for the WOC package and RBT for the F! package. RBT gives good seats, yes?

I recommend splurging for CC - the food is great, the restaurant experience is really fun and the viewing area is the best. You're right in the center but elevated a little and not squished in like sardines and getting wet at the railing or unable to get a spot at the railing making it difficult to see. The WCT viewing area is also center but right in front so you still have to arrive early to get a spot in front so people aren't blocking your view. The CC area is not crowded so you have breathing room. We arrived about 5 minutes before the late show started and there was still plenty of room. The servers can pick what time show they give you tickets for so unless you get a mean server (which we've never experienced there) you can request your show.

The same goes for Blue Bayou F! package. Since you're paying more you get the best seats and our experience with the area not being crowded was the same here too. Our meal was really good as well.

Overall I think the show dining packages are absolutely worth it and a great experience! Totally recommend them. I would love to see a dining package with VIP viewing for PTN parade and fireworks! I would be all over that! Please, please, please!
