New Restaurant at Magic Kingdom?

If the plan is for them to open in time for the holidays at the end of the year, when do you guys think they'll start allowing ADRs?

We're going in November so I really hope they have it open then. Probably not lol, but a girl can dream :D

Not until very close to opening

Yeah, I don't think they'll risk taking ADR's and then getting a serious backlash if the restaurant doesn't open on time.

It's different management, but wasn't the Boathouse open about 2 weeks before they started taking reservations?

Yes boathouse started taking phone reservation about a week after opening and then after that opened up online.

Going in December as well. Sure would be nice if it is a nicely themed table service restaurant (or something like BOG which is lunch counter and dinner table)

Here are a few shots I took yesterday (5/25/2015) of what I could see of the construction on the new restaurant.

Come on, nothing wrong with Tony's...
Or the "prisoners platter" at liberty tree...

;)
Ugh I'm not really that much of a food critic (never minded it but I'm not very picky) but Tony's is probably the most underwhelming meal I've ever had on vacation. Its just so meh its indescribable

FYI-- DW and I are lunch at the Boat house sunday, and were so impressed with the location we went back and spent the entire evening on one of the floating docks with the comfy chairs eating and drinking. Loved it. They offer full service (food and bar) to the entire dock area. One spot even has an active fire pit. The boats were like art work. Other than a couple pricey steaks, I thought the pricing was acceptable.

Can't wait for the Hangar..... I didn't think I would be impressed with any of the new DTD establishments. Still hanging on to hope for the rest of the Landings....(or having some now instead of not having any)

Thanks for the review, Dave...

We'll be at Saratoga next month for a few days and the boathouse just made the "schedule"...

And the "schedule" is light because I honestly don't know what to trust anymore.

Haha this made me laugh, and I don't even know what it means "prisoner platter". I have never eaten there....must be pretty bad!

Underwhelming is generous.
I have read that so many times. I wonder....Disney has to read these sites to pick up on what works and what doesn't. I don't understand why they can't keep the restauraunt the same, but redo the menu. If the spaghetti and meatballs is terrible, why not make a new version of spaghetti and meatballs. I'm only a "lowly" housewife (lol) and when my patrons (dad and daughter) don't like something- I find a new recipe. What's the big deal?

I'm guessing that, because of the location, the restaurant does very well. I costs money to update menus. So why bother if they don't have to.
