I don't check on here for a couple days because of the busy end-of-the-year wrap up at school and now I have 4 pages of posts to catch up on! Geez kids.

I got another pin in the mail today. It's for this summer and the same as what's been offered before: 30% and free upgrade to park hopper. I don't know what I did to get so lucky on these pins, but I'll take 'em! Now I just need spring 2016 prices and discounts...

We've never had a problem taking our teens to Disney. They were always up in time for rope drop. They always let us know where they were going if we let them go off to a park by themselves. They were thrilled to be at Disney and wanted to have fun, not fight or pout or complain. Those trips were great.

ETA: If they weren't perfect then at least I wiped it from my memory so that now I only remember the good times.

And then we'd come back home, and all bets were off.

Actually I got that too a few weeks ago. But free dining would have been about the same for us. But since we changed our dates the discount won't work for us anyway. Good luck!

Actually I got that too a few weeks ago. But free dining would have been about the same for us. But since we changed our dates the discount won't work for us anyway. Good luck!

We'll be there 10/16 - 10/23, and from what I saw when someone posted the PIN/UOC, that time would be included - 20% for BC, and that is, like you said, pretty closed to what FD would have been. But heck, 20% is better than nothing!! HA HA.,...the normal General Public discounts should be out around mid July/early August...I just hope that there are rooms left by then!

Soooooo what is this drink exactly?

Here's the recipe I have:


1 oz Malibu coconut Rum
1 oz Midori
1oz Orange juice
1oz Pineapple juice
.05 oz Curacao
Splash of Sprite

Instructions

Fill tumbler with ice and pour in the Rum and Midori, OJ, Pineapple Juice, Sprite and stir.

Top with sprite and float .5 oz of Blue Curacao on top.

I have an ADR for CA Grill and Narcoosse during my trip. Is the easiest way to get there to walk to Epcot from BC and take the monorail? Approximately how long would such a venture take?

Yes, unless you take a taxi. I'd say 20 minutes to walk from BC to EPCOT main gate. Maybe longer, we walk very fast. Then time to get monorail, transfer and monorail. You're looking at 60 minutes.

Ok, now that I got that out of my system. I made and ADR for Via Napoli @ 7:30 on our arrival day. We land at 5:15 PM, renting a car, staying club level. Do you think I can make my ADR? This is the only day I can fit in Via Napoli and I have read great reviews about it. However, being club level should I just grab something at the resort so we don't have to rush?

I think it's possible that you could make it, but after waiting for luggage and picking up the car...and then driving to the resort in potentially bad traffic, I think I would cancel that one and hope that a better time opens up during your trip. It's supposed to be exciting but not stressful. Keeping that reservation would stress me out!

It's good, but not to die for. We enjoyed it, but are not planning to go back on our next 2 trips, if that helps??

And I agree with pp, that time would be cutting it too close for me. Luckily you still have 108 days to find a better time

How much is the regular cab in comparison to Uber? I'm surprised Disney lets them on property because I thought they had an exclusive agreement with Mears Taxi for transportation within WDW property.

Uber estimates $8-11, MEARS estimates $17(without tip).

We're less than 30 days out (!!!!!!!!!!) from our split stay (BCV and regular BC) and I have a few questions I couldn't find answered anywhere else. We have a woods/garden view studio for the first 2 nights and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for favorite locations to request? Our only real desire is to not be on the ground floor and, other than wishing then refurb had started on the villas so we could hope for a spiffed up room (which they haven't yet - right?), we're pretty flexible.

My other question is do you know if Disney does the thing that some other hotels are doing where they offer upgrades (if available) for an additional cost at check in? It would be awesome to have the chance to move up to a 1 bedroom for a fee if there were any openings. I know Hilton does this but wasn't sure about Disney.

Also - does anyone have an update on the refurbs at BC and where they are with them (what floor they're they are working on, etc)? Thanks!
