What not to miss while staying at Disneyland Hotel?

Yes agreed. Trader Sam's for sure. Also the Monorail waterslides are pretty awesome. In front of the Frontier Tower there is a geyser that goes off intermittently and inside the lobby of that tower is an awesome scale model of BTMRR. If you like character meals Goofy's Kitchen is a good one (though I did not go last year - so haven't been to GK since summer 2013). Don't miss the neat black and white photos of all the famous people (mostly from 50s and 60s) who've visited Dland. They are in the Fantasy Tower lobby right across from the elevator.

I agree with checking out the Big Thunder model in the Frontierland building. Really cool. And the waterslides are the best.

I definitely recommend booking a cabana half day at the pool. They go fast in the summer!

Each tower is themed differently so there's lots of fun stuff to check out in the lobby of each! Trader Sam's is a lot of fun, as others have stated. There's also some lovely gazebos/gardens around the back of the property that I like to walk around.

And definitely leave yourself time to check out the pools and hot tubs! :beach:

We'll be staying there for the first time in October. I'm looking forward to the pools (we are thinking of doing a cabana one afternoon) and the kids really want breakfast at Steakhouse 55.

Hubby is hoping to take in the Happiest Hotel tour and our daughter really wants to learn how to fold washcloths.

Wash cloth folding!! Happiest Hotel tour. Make sure you sign up at the front desk because if no one signs up, they don't hold it. The Power Walk in DCA before park opening? Relax by the fire in the evening? I can give you a list of things later in the week (don't have them handy.) Check out all the towers, they are all different.

I'm really interested in the tour myself. From what I understand they tell you the rich history of the hotel.

Hi,

I have a comment on Goofy's Kitchen. my best friend, her mom, my mom, and I went to Goofy's Kitchen recently and it was so expensive. For two people it was like $84 and the food was all right but not fantastic.

Hi,

One thing not to miss is the decor of the Disneyland Hotel. do not forget to look at the little touch that make it special. For example, when you get in your room, take time to marvel at the beautiful headboard. Look on the light on the night stand. There will be a button on that lamp, switch press it and something magical will happen. (I will not tell you because I want it to be a surprise). I also like to look at things like the carpet, the wallpapers, and the chairs. Each tower of the hotel is themed differently. There is also topiaries as you come out of the main lobby (the Fantasyland Tower) facing the pool area. Have a great time!!

It's a wonderful hotel! I'm excited for you!

The thing I love most about the DLH, is when you are outside near the pool area. There is music playing and beautiful scents from all of the plants wafting around. It's a truly magical moment to stop for a minute, close your eyes and just totally be in the moment.
